I was at Take That but London was heaving … check these numbers out..

Six massive headline concerts. One city.
🎤 Harry Styles — Wembley Stadium (~90,000)
🎤 Take That — London Stadium (~70,000-80,000)
🎤 Bad Bunny — Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (~60,000)
🎤 Garth Brooks — BST Hyde Park (~65,000)
🎤 Lily Allen — The O2 (~20,000)
🎤 Kneecap — Crystal Palace Park (~25,000)

That’s around 330,000 people at these six shows alone!

various music festivals going on up and down the country … if you can get out to Dublin or Manchester to see the lads! They were phenomenal! Seeing Harry next week!!

Great for London - honestly is. But not so great for the rest of us (apart from Manchester obvs)

I was at Harry on Saturday night, got tube to local station then an Uber and the driver asked where we'd been and was saying it was the busiest night in London he could remember in a long time with so many big concerts, plus people heading out to watch the football.

I was at the epic Garth Brooks concert..apparently the most tickets ever sold for a BST Event @ 70,000! 👏

Wasn’t it just incredible? I go to a LOT of gigs but that one was something special.

I’m so jealous! I’ve loved GB for years and he’s supposed to be quite the showman

Big concerts are not my thing, but it's great that they're happening as it's good for the economy. London is an amazing city and there is something for everyone - sport, culture, history, music etc. For those of us who can, and do, visit often, it's always a great experience.

I was at one of those concerts at the weekend. The price of hotels was extortionate, as were flights in. Have the best day/ night though.

From what 've seen on YouTube Americans think that London is a lawless city. That's what the current US administration has been spinning.
There's a clip of two Americans visiting Brixton and finding it busy but not dangerous. I frequently go to or through Brixton and it is fine. Of course there is crime but it very rarely affects the general public.
London is a great place to live. It has so much to offer.

On the same night (28th) I was at the Anyma show in east London. That was around 20,000 people. It was incredible!

Venues don't make any money by staying empty.

They need to get back those construction costs.

So yes in todays world where the money people are trying to rinse every last penny out of their assets, stadiums are going to be full up hosting concerts in the off season.

DD and I were at the Harry Styles gig on Sat and it was just brilliant. Really wonderful atmosphere both at Wembley and on the journey home.

I've been telling people since I moved here in the early 90s, London is the best! The music and theatre offerings are just stupendous. Looking forward to 2 concerts at the Proms over the summer plus a selection of theatre outings. Love love love. Also happy that Reform voters have been frightened away by the whole 'lawless London' hype. Good riddance!

This is a global right wing social media anti-Muslim racist agenda which has been In instigated since Sadiq Khan became mayor - they infiltrate loads of the comments sections on many tourist IG sites that I follow.

Quite happy that those fuxkers stay away from London ! Result.

I would have loved to have gone to the Garth Brooks concert in Hyde park but it was £600 for a standing ticket. I’m unable to stand for hours on end now so I’m afraid it was too much for me. London is fabulous, I was there a couple of weeks ago seeing Dracula’s at the ballet.
