We can’t deport British men though unfortunately, because they are British in Britain. if only there was somewhere we could send them, that would be great, but no one would want our shit men, quite rightly. Why should we have to take other countries scummy men?

I agree with the pp who said until they can be effectively vetted, they shouldn’t be let in.

We have a similar situation as that pp, refugees in a hotel only it’s by a secondary school locally, not a college. The men leer and shout inappropriate things to the school girls about their bodies. Large groups of men intimidating school girls. The teachers have been abused too. The traffic around the school has increased because so many parents won’t let their children walk home alone because they are scared. The police get called, the men disperse so nothing can be done. It’s not ok.

Women wanting these men here are turkeys voting for Christmas.

Agree. The guy involved in the attack in Belfast had been given leave to stay, but obviously someone doesn’t stab someone randomly and repeatedly in the face without having had previous issues. The vetting process clearly didn’t work in his case, because I’ll bet a bit of digging into his past in his country of origin would have uncovered some degree of violence. There’s a problem it seems with the process which needs looking into, or we’re going to have a ton load of problems letting in violent and unchecked people just because governments want to fast track them all to gas light us into thinking numbers are going down.

I agree, any my concerns with all this shouting “facist” is it’s going to push more centre voters to the right as they just can’t identify with what they perceive to be the loony left.

They identify with the racist righties instead?

It's easy to blame someone else for your choice to vote Reform. Just like it is easy to blame immigration.

Have you seen the latest immigration numbers?

Net migration to the UK – the difference between immigration and emigration – fell to 171,000 in 2025. That was 48% lower than a year before, and 82% below the 2023 peak. Net migration had reached record levels after Brexit, rising to 944,000 in the year ending 31 March 2023.

So voting in a local election for who organises filling potholes and emptying bins is showing concern about immigration? It makes no sense.

Of course it does, if locals didn’t reflect the national dissatisfaction, why did Starmer’s back benchers try to oust him in the aftermath? If the votes for Reform at the expense of Labour was all about potholes, then Starmer and his party would have just said ‘nothing to see here’, because it wouldn’t be relevant..

The people of Brighton need to realise that these people won’t be from countries that are accepting of their large LGBT population either. Many in Brighton are also rich and white, they are very far removed from what is happening to women and girls elsewhere in the country at the hands of these refugee men. Very protected people wanting to give up women and girls safety elsewhere. Absolute idiots.

eta, I’m not in favour of groups of men protesting violently. We do need common sense though.

Edited

Why have they not been sent to Brighton in large numbers I wonder?? Come on Keir, Brighton are openly welcoming so use the hotels in Brighton, convert all those lovely big houses to HMOs. Job done everyone happy. Maybe next door to Fat Boy Slim for starters. Has Angela got a place there to maybe in her block also.

Similar happened a couple of years ago after the Southport attack. They clearly don’t learn. Brighton don’t want them. Neither does my home city thankfully (so far anyway, long may it continue).

Looks like anyone concerned enough about immigration to demonstrate is a fascist.

It’s going to be hilarious when Reform are in government, because that’s where it’s going.

May God help us if Deform UK Ltd ever got anywhere near government. It would be a total shitshow.

Why? Why are increasing numbers of immigrants being arrested for violence/rapes? Because they clearly didn’t suddenly turn into rapists and killers when setting foot on British soil. They had previous, in the country they came from. The government in their haste to fiddle the numbers are not vetting them.

It's still going up, although the rate has slowed. And the underlying numbers show we're losing a lot of Brits.

I’ve already said numerous times I don’t and will never vote reform. Again the narrative is being twisted so you can call other people racist and pat yourself on the back for being morally superior.

Teethyblinders · 13/06/2026 19:56

The fascists were racists and xenophobes and followers of Stephen Yaxley-Lennon and his bully boys, and men massively outnumbered women. They included a couple with 2 young children and a baby in a pram, which sets a lovely example to their kids.

The anti-racists were much more mixed, and the group that went from my town, which is near Brighton, included some SAHMs, students, the chief exec of a regulatory body, at least one builder, several teachers, a dentist and two firefighters. If the gender mix was the same as at the London event a couple of months ago, I'd say it was around 3 women to every 2 men.

The local paper ran a live stream, and the anti-fascists spent much of the time kettled under a bridge by the police before being escorted to the station.

The “facists” included a mother whose daughter was brutally stabbed after being followed home from her job cleaning at a migrant hotel.

We need to stop thinking there are just 2 ‘sides’ to choose from, the people campaigning for refugees to be allowed no question and the racist Tommy Robison type thugs. I don’t support either of those 2 groups. They’re both problematic for different reasons.

Sensible people want a safe Britain and that means questioning immigration when we are seeing it make people unsafe. Thats not racism, no matter how loud people shout that it is.

People are so used to being told that any questioning is racist that they feel the right side to be on is the one that favours other nationalities. We are allowed to try to look after ourselves. We don’t need people coming here that add negatives.

SpaceRaccoon · 13/06/2026 19:57

TheLandlordsAreFrowning · 13/06/2026 18:59

Nobody is "wanting more bad men here". It is a sad fact of life that a minority of men are bad, wherever they are from. Do you want all immigration stopped because of a minority?

We could halt or severely curtail immigration from countries where tge men are more likely to commit sex offenses.
And yes the figures do show stark differences by nationality. Many European countries have stats on this.

May God help us if Deform UK Ltd ever got anywhere near government. It would be a total shitshow.

Then do something about it. Instead of coming on social media to moan about a potential Reform government, maybe lobby the government to actually do something about the out of control immigration situation. I actually don’t think Starmer accepts that that’s where the problem lies - in the week following the local election results, he said he was going to make some big announcement to recognise why he lost so many seats. And what was that announcement? He’s going to bring the Steel industry back under government control. Seriously, was that what intel he gained from the annihilation of the Labour Party; that people were voting as they did because of the steel industry?

Duckyfondant · 13/06/2026 20:00

Two cheeks of the same arse. I'm sure plenty on both sides were there to silence those they disagree with and fight

It looks like the 'fascists' were just women who don't think men can become women, and the 'anti racists' were a bunch of violent masked men?

Whenever I hear about "fascists" these days I take it with a pinch of salt. A fascist can be anyone, from someone who doesn't support net zero, to someone who wants consequences for rape gangs, to someone who understands biological reality.

equally my daughter had to move out of her home in Belfast because her street was targeted by racist scum. Imagine if your childs address was on a list to have their home burnt down. I know which one I would rather.

That's just awful.

I'm old enough to remember "the troubles", and it reminded me of those times. Bloody sickening.
