Well, yes.
It is morally superior to not be a fascist, obviously. And definitely morally superior to not draw up target lists and burn people out of their houses.
It is also quite stupid to blame all the problems of the uk on immigrants.

I think that might be because Brighton people like the OP have a reputation for being very open minded and liberal, so long as you totally agree with their entrenched views. I'm not saying that reputation is fair but it might be influencing the vote.

People who are anti immigration/right wing are just as entrenched in their views. They work very hard indeed to get people to agree with them and are very enthusiastic with their aggression, belittling and laughing at those who dare to disagree. Not sure why this is always framed as a characteristic of the left. Especially not in a week where we have seen the other side resort to violent disorder to bully society into giving them what they want.

The problem with anti tory brighton is the only people who can afford to live there are people who have made use of tory levers like being landlords or inheriting property or being gifted wealth.
Other than its huge gay scene, its a very white, very wealthy town full of inhabitants who look down on genuinely diverse places like Manchester or Birmingham.
For a town (sorry city) that prides itself on being "creative" it also has a truly shitty arts scene, probably because it has become so gentrified its residents are consumers rather than makers, and also London is too nearby

Absolutely right. The thing that struck me most about Brighton is just how intolerant they seemed to be with anyone who has different views to them. So not tolerant at all. It's a bit of a misnomer. As a sex realist, I found it rather hostile in places.

Not difficult to join the dots - big gay population. Many men within said demographic who want people to call them women - and any women who don't call men who want to be called women women, are in trouble. The opposite of open minded.
