'Anti-immigration' is not the same as 'improving the system so that it works better'.

People on 'anti-immigration' protests want all immigration to stop, full stop. They are not asking for improvements to systems. They are demanding all immigration is stopped and all asylum seekers immediately deported. They want hotels closed down and asylum seekers driven out their town, their country. They want them gone.

It's very simple minded.

Oh arent they so stupid....arent we so morally superior.

5MinuteArgument · 14/06/2026 18:16

Rioting is not the answer, largely because it causes destruction and the result is lots of young men with criminal records that will dog them for life. If people lose faith in the system completely, which has happened in parts of Belfast, then we really are in trouble.

The govt needs to get a grip on the issues that are causing the unrest.

The current system can’t do checks so if that’s what people want the whole system will have to change.

Our first challenge is getting the government to acknowledge that they have brought in millions of extra people with totally inadequate support and low expectations for them to assimilate, learn English, abide by the law and be able to make a meaningful contribution to Britain.

They also need to acknowledge their part in causing division and tension by mandating two tier policing (in the police guidance) and the serious harms perpetrated on British citizens as a result.

Supposing they reach that basic level of enlightenment, we can then consider putting forward your march proposal which on the surface sounds good, but with our vastly overstretched NHS and m/h services, border/immigration services and judicial system required to deal with appeals from rapists we’ve tried to deport, how realistic do you think it is?

It has to be worked towards quickly for the good of current citizens and also for the good of asylum seekers and refugees.

Just because something is very difficult doesn't mean we should give up aiming high.

Terrorising innocent people, petrol bombing homes, torching their cars, smashing up their businesses is no way to effect change.

It's just mindlessness and achieves nothing but more pain.

Then why don't people demand system improvement instead of just shouting 'anti-immigration'?

System improvement is a far more admirable request.

Ah here it is. Interesting. And not at all surprising. I await 'but the daily fail' comment with eager anticipation (not really).

'REVEALED: How shadowy unit of government 'thought police' set up by ex-MI6 agent is trying to keep a lid on Britain's simmering racial tensions

The name of the secretive Government propaganda unit trying to manipulate events makes it sound like an innocuous back-office operation – the Research, Information and Communications Unit, or RICU.

But the dull moniker is part of the deliberate camouflage of an outfit which uses deception and skulduggery to try to manage the 'challenges' of multiculturalism.

Its techniques range from planting stories in the media, using undercover operatives to lay flowers at the scene of terrorist attacks and even, in one case, sending a pop group to sing anti-extremist songs in Muslim schools.

The source said that the unit had also been advising the police in Southampton following the horrific murder of Henry Nowak by Vickrum Digwa – who falsely claimed he had been racially abused and had acted in self-defence – saying: 'RICU made sure that the liaison team dealing with the family were well briefed.'

It has also been claimed that the unit intervenes to write statements by the families of victims of potentially racially linked incidents to stop them from inflaming tensions further with their remarks.

The source said: 'You can see their fingerprints all over the statements released by the families of victims in these volatile situations – they usually have a similar tone.'

[After the London Bridge attack] RICU's undercover operatives handed out flowers in the area, with the aim of perpetuating an atmosphere of 'grief' rather than anti-Muslim 'anger'.

A team in an unmarked van is also understood to have toured the area plastering the walls with posters bearing hashtags such as #TurnToLove, #ForLondon and #LoveWillWin.

Similarly, after the British aid worker Alan Henning was decapitated by Islamic State in Syria in 2014, RICU used a specially created 'front operation' to plant an image of a woman in a Union Jack hijab in the media. '

I can think of a 'system improvement': don't let military aged males from incompatible cultures into the country. If they come in illegally, process them quickly and get them out.

Nobody lost faith in the system in Belfast - where the population is 92% white. It was a knee jerk reaction by a bunch of young thugs whose fathers and grandfathers were rioting against their neighbours 30 years ago.

Are you suggesting that some of us are government thought police?🤪

The source said: 'You can see their fingerprints all over the statements released by the families of victims in these volatile situations – they usually have a similar tone

A poster on here who has personal experience of putting out such a statement has said this is bollocks on a thread asking about this issue.

So one anonymous person in the internet has denied it.

But we can see with our own eyes that the statements issued by families of all different backgrounds at these unbelievably horrendous moments sound remarkably similar? Almost like they are following a script?

Did it occur to you that Anon might have a reason for making that claim that is unrelated to the truth?

To a certain extent this could be considered. Perhaps males aged 16 to 40 travelling alone ought to be subject to a far quicker and stricter processing system, than say a woman with small children. A risk assessment could show that certain a demographic of applicants needs to follow a certain processing path to ensure they are not a risk in the UK.

Because you either let men in unchecked or you don’t.

And if it’s the second option then it’s not easy. Doable but takes major changes to policy.

Nobody lost faith in the system in Belfast

The BBC reported a few days ago;

Belfast hosts the largest number of asylum seekers, which - when adjusted for population - is the 10th highest in the UK, according to figures from 363 local authorities, with about one asylum seeker for every 200 residents.

It’s still 92% white @Clavinova. N Irish politicians of all parties were very clear that the appalling events this week were thuggery - their word, not mine. And 20000 Belfast residents turned out yesterday to agree with them.

Yeah. Millions of the general public, being gas lit by the Labour government.

I was reading an article in the times yesterday about huge failings in maternity care at Leeds hospitals ,thousands of babies dying needlessly or badly hurt for life

There are many layers to the story and then it comes out at the end the "ethos " of the maternity team ( it's written in the article ) was to push natural births and it was at this point ,the deaths rocketed.

So my point is , an innocent mum to be going to have her baby doesn't realise she's actually going to be battling with a hidden secret ideology behind the scenes that will deny her normal and proper care.

This sounds the same re this secret gov dept to calm tensions or police receiving secretive poltcal training they dare not complain about

This feels more like a communist regime than an open and free democracy

The second option is worth demanding. The most progressive options are never the easiest. But in the long run it would seem to satisfy all sides.

Placards demanding 'Effective checks and processing' is much less volatile and divisive than 'get them out'.

Yes, agreed. Blaming the unrest on a hangover from the Troubles is more deflection and denial.

Also, the Republic of Ireland has had similar protests in relation to unprecedented demographic change and the imposition of too many migrants onto deprived communities.

Dublin has had similar protests to the ones in Belfast, for the same reasons. But no, let's just call them all thugs and carry on as we are. After all, what could possibly go wrong?

It's very simple minded.

The trouble is, this has been sliding and been tolerated for years but we’ve seen time and again that once the violent men who rape and murder have managed to get into the country, thanks to the ‘human rights’ lawyers and heavily virtue signalling left wing protestors, it is almost impossible to remove them.

So regrettably, it turns out that if we don’t want these very bad men in our country, we have to reject everyone for now and demand that the government works out how to keep us safe before it resumes.

It isn’t. Those boys - because that’s what they are - have been brought up with tales of derring do from the troubles. Their heroes are from that period of history. They employed exactly the same weapons - petrol bombs and setting houses alight. They wore dark clothes and balaclavas so they couldn’t be identified - who taught them that? And who has balaclavas just waiting for them to be needed?

Inthesummertimewhen · 14/06/2026 18:37

PinkandPerky · 14/06/2026 17:35

Anyhow, to be 'anti-immigration' is just a ridiculous and xenophobic stance which is divisive, terrifying to all law abiding newcomers to our country and frankly a very narrow minded way of looking at a very complex situation.

I would be much more understanding if people were non-violently marching, on Whitehall, for a 'change in policy for more effective and quicker screening, adequate and effective support for refugees to deal with the trauma they had suffered and a government funded training and work programme to ensure newcomers could contribute meaningfully to society'.

Now that I could get on board with.

'Anti-immigration' is just simple minded nonsense.

We have so many very mentally ill British people on our streets who maybe schizprenic etc and they can't get any help ,no support ,they may have children and family
.

Can I ask where the money and support will come from to screen and then support traumatised Sudanese men ?

Skinnysaluki · 14/06/2026 18:39

southerngirl10 · 14/06/2026 17:03

That was a handful of idiots. Most of the so-called 'far right' protestors are lovely, law abiding people who are sending a message - we don't want to live next to so many refugees/ asylum seekers.

The answer is simple - as people have been trying to tell you and others on this forum. Give the asylum seekers/refugees to Brighton.

No, I thought not. It's ok for Brighton to protest when these people are not in their backyard. If the immigrants came in the same numbers as the midlands and north, these same protestors would be marching along the other side of the street!

‘most of the so-called far right protestors are lovely ….’
HAHAHAHa

While the government lies and gaslights us and continues their two tier policing, protests will keep happening as it becomes the only about left to people.

I don’t want riots any more than you do but while the PM himself vilifies and attacks us, the divisions he’s causing will get worse.
