I’m not surprised in the slightest . I visit Brighton a lot , it’s the most welcoming city I’ve been to and I feel totally at ease walking around . Yes it’s full of weird and wonderful people but they are all getting on with living their lives and no one judges anyone else , all free spirits . Racists would def not be welcomed and glad to see they were sent on their way

Racists are indeed welcome in Brighton. The anti-semitists like to go harassing people on their doorsteps.

Watdidyousay · 13/06/2026 22:14

You people will never learn

Lifeomars · 13/06/2026 22:15

what a welcome change to see people singing, dancing and showing their faces rather than masked men in dark clothing torching people's homes and cars.

Happyjoe · 13/06/2026 22:16

LuckyHazelFox · 13/06/2026 22:01

Exactly this. Interesting use of language from the OP as well with Brighton barely letting the anti immogrant protestors out of the station. Who gave these lefty fascists the right to detain other citizens wanting to carry out a protest? I wouldn't touch Brighton with a bargepole. I don't mind pride but it's been hijacked now by fascist bullies who demand everybody accepts the trans moment lock stock and barrel.

To be fair, I don't think the people of Brighton will miss you, so all ends well.

I despair at the number of brainwashed people in my area, who can't see that immigrants are not so different and the majority just want to live a safe, peaceful life.

Seeing resistance like this gives me hope!

What an interesting choice of word "resistance". Is that what badgering people to conform now means?

I left Brighton 20+ years ago for a career and it was like that then. It was the most fabulous place to grow up and I was really lucky. I still have family and friends there, it'll always be my 'home'.

They were having pretty much weekly protests in Epping and they were singing, dancing and had no masks

Were you pleased to see that too?

there was one night a group of troublemakers arrived from out of area and I think a few of them got arrested

There was another night where a load of stand up to racism arrived and I think there was trouble then

But not that much, actually- there were two very significant arrests that resulted in NFA.

Absolutely. I wouldn't step foot in the anti-semitic cesspit. I just pity the Jews who live there.

As well as people being arrested for violence! It wasn't all peaceful. Still, it's closed now.

EmeraldRoulette · 13/06/2026 22:22

Braintree are also having very regular protest and I think they're pretty cheerful with the singing and dancing

I live in Essex, so I've been keeping an eye on the protests. Actually, I even noticed their playlist from watching a live stream. Some great songs on there.

Brighton b&bs and hotels generally have an occupancy rate of around 75% and I doubt if the govt would be prepared to pay commercial rates for them to accommodate asylum seekers.

Once an asylum seeker has refugee status, they become eligible to work and to claim benefits, and are supported to find accommodation. I worked in homelessness prevention and resettlement for 7 years, and supported a few refugees.

Yes 75% hmm I think turning it over to 100% occupancy for asylum seekers works. You'd be surprised at the £££s our government are paying for emergency temp housing. It's happening all around greater London which is more expensive than Brighton. Let them stay in Brighton and then when given refugee status let Brighton council house them and suppoort them. Just like they do up and down the country. Added bonus will be no fear of problems with community cohesion.

Just to add that we had similar in Sheffield today. The Raise the Flags group. Maybe 100 max. Heavily outnumbered by those who opposed them esp now that their leader has been charged with murder

One of the Raise the Colours lot is on remand and facing a murder charge, it's been reported but not as a high profle news item manner.,,,://you

Refugee welcome here proponents should lead by example. I'd be interested in a social experiment where they each housed a refugee for a month. Are you up for it?

That old chestnut again

Are you justifying what happened in Belfast? Like Robinson and Musk?

27 people homeless

But it’s not love. Reform are a joke - as are the supporters. We’re all laughing at the knuckle draggers - save are wimmin (whilst all being convicted domestic abusers).

So everyone who votes reform is a convicted domestic abuser? That’s a bold statement to make, I’d love to see the stats you have to back this up.

So the answer is no then.

There’s no argument against it. Crowborough is more expensive than hotels and people in the area prefer it wasn’t there. Brighton are very keen, so empty it out and use Brighton.

Everyone’s happy.

Not much singing and dancing in Epping here. That placard is in poor taste too. No masks tbf.

Ugly men who want to be women are known as bricks.

This is about the fightback against ugly minded fascists, not your pretend feminism.

Be my guest. It's an overpriced dump. It's filthy, seedy, druggy, slightly menacing, the recycling system is a nightmare of open boxes so the crap ends up halfway down the street on a windy night. Foxes everywhere. The council do fuck all except waste money on virtue signalling nonsense and it's full of the smuggest, weirdest most self obsessed twats ever. And the shops and the beach are shit.

And the seagulls all need ASBOs

Yes, maybe the govt could send lots of asylum seekers to places like Brighton, since they are so welcoming. Why not send 10,000 military aged males to Brighton? Everyone would love it.

Just had a look at that on You Tube. Brilliant stuff. Well done Braintree.
