Nobody is "wanting more bad men here". It is a sad fact of life that a minority of men are bad, wherever they are from. Do you want all immigration stopped because of a minority?

Jesus's wept. Have you ever travelled? Ever experienced tarrarush? British women are used to dealing with British men. Dealing with male attitudes from other countries....

mrshoho · 13/06/2026 21:35

There's actually a lot of vacant properties in and around Brighton. Lots for sale too, probably quite a few second homers who want offload due to rising council tax. What about all those b&bs? Once the owners realise how much they can rake in with refugees and asylum guests I'm sure theyll be tempted.

Be my guest. It's an overpriced dump. It's filthy, seedy, druggy, slightly menacing, the recycling system is a nightmare of open boxes so the crap ends up halfway down the street on a windy night. Foxes everywhere. The council do fuck all except waste money on virtue signalling nonsense and it's full of the smuggest, weirdest most self obsessed twats ever. And the shops and the beach are shit.

Weeellokthen · 13/06/2026 21:40

I really hate to say left/right in the Uk. I am smack bang in the middle, politically (homeless). But surely, even the most liberal of the left can see there is a glaring problem, currently with (the male) immigration population.
Do we not already have an abundance of indiginous shitty malea?????

Sudan, Iran, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, all countries with travel warnings and advice to avoid. Yet the UK has taken in thousands of men from these and other countries with not a scoobie as to their backgrounds. We only find this out once a crime has been committed. They put them in our communities. Where is the safeguarding?

Whatado · 13/06/2026 21:44

@saraclara do you have any idea of the gender split of asylum seekers in the system across Europe now? With the countries of origin?

Some of the most unsafe countries in world for women and girls to live in. Who do you think under takes that sexual violence against them? So tell me just from the actual documented records why there is a higher split of men leaving those countries to come to Europe?

What do you think will happen, that once they get an inhale of European air all of that generational and societal conditioning what just disappears?

And thats without considering the undocumented numbers that are estimated to be in the millions in Europe..

Also well done to Belfast and Glasgow

Reading that juvenile rag that the OP has linked. I'm confused as to what message it's sending out. Trans Allies and protests against anti immigration. An oxymoron if ever I saw one. The foul language plastered over those posters as well. Typical lefty layabouts having nothing better to do than counter protest. It's all they are good at. They can't stand anyone having the audacity to arrange protests. FASCISTS.

Yes would love to know the answer to that question.

Exactly!! And to say 'send them all home' or similar is very racist. People who say this sort of thing do so purely because of someone's race. Completely and unarguably racist.
These racist apologists are disgusting.

Agreed. Incredibly racist. Just as racist as masked thugs chanting "from the river to the sea", which is just another way of saying "let's cleanse the Middle East of all Jews".

Both sides on the political spectrum are equally racist and disgusting.

I agree. And look at what the women in those areas have to do to survive: covering their faces, avoiding participating in certain activities or having to have a male chaperone.

This happened last time. I think the police had to surround the right wing protesters from the rest of Brighton. I know am a little bias, but am proud to have lived there for many years and called it home.

That's the wrong kind of racism. Anti-semitism isn't cool enough to get behind.

Possibly because Brighton property values are significantly higher than in many parts of the country and it would cost a fucking fortune. Then the people who whinge about the cost of accommodating asylum seekers would blow a gasket when those costs increased exponentially.

Many of the hotels that have been used were ones that were struggling anyway. A friend lives in Essex, not far from the Bell hotel that was used for asylum seekers, and she said it was an absolute shithole that no-one in their right mind would have stayed in voluntarily.

Yeah the Bell Hotel is in Epping, far more expensive per square metre than Brighton. Yet another poorly thought out argument.

Genuinely what are people who support unfettered and poorly documented immigration hoping to achieve?? It’s like those women who are so keen for men in dresses to invade women’s spaces. I’m sure a lot of it is misguided be kind shite and a massive overhang from when women were expected to just STFU and let men ride roughshod.

Brighton b&bs and hotels generally have an occupancy rate of around 75% and I doubt if the govt would be prepared to pay commercial rates for them to accommodate asylum seekers.

Once an asylum seeker has refugee status, they become eligible to work and to claim benefits, and are supported to find accommodation. I worked in homelessness prevention and resettlement for 7 years, and supported a few refugees.

Overscheduled · 13/06/2026 21:57

I have to laugh at Brighton wanting them from countries and religions which will not tolerate LGBTQ+.

My daughter has 2 lads in her group of friends who are gay and together. They dare to hold hands in public….shocker! They’ve had homophobic slurs shouted at them when walking past the groups of asylum seekers, all men, who gather in our local town.

Good luck to the big LGBTQ+ community of Brighton as they welcome these people in to their hometown. They really haven’t thought it through.

Canary Wharf hotel was in an expensive area. Brighton can do it.

Exactly this. Interesting use of language from the OP as well with Brighton barely letting the anti immogrant protestors out of the station. Who gave these lefty fascists the right to detain other citizens wanting to carry out a protest? I wouldn't touch Brighton with a bargepole. I don't mind pride but it's been hijacked now by fascist bullies who demand everybody accepts the trans moment lock stock and barrel.

Yes, it's nice that a bunch of virtue signalling lefties turned up for a jamboree.

But it doesn't change the fact that we have a problem. We are attracting military age males from incompatible cultures to come and live in our country, often into the poorest neighbourhoods. We don't need these people here, we don't know who they are.

I think the awful case in Belfast where a vulnerable man is still in hospital, should make anyone think twice about an asylum sytem which is harming this country.

Refugee welcome here proponents should lead by example. I'd be interested in a social experiment where they each housed a refugee for a month. Are you up for it?

ForPinkCrab · 13/06/2026 22:05

I’m not surprised in the slightest . I visit Brighton a lot , it’s the most welcoming city I’ve been to and I feel totally at ease walking around . Yes it’s full of weird and wonderful people but they are all getting on with living their lives and no one judges anyone else , all free spirits . Racists would def not be welcomed and glad to see they were sent on their way

StripyHorse · 13/06/2026 22:06

00K · 13/06/2026 18:28

I think the point is that the racists had no chance to start all their thuggery. They were massively outnumbered and this can happen in other towns, if only everyone was a little bit less brainwashed

I despair at the number of brainwashed people in my area, who can't see that immigrants are not so different and the majority just want to live a safe, peaceful life.

Seeing resistance like this gives me hope!

Some posters are very keen so why not? Fine if others are welcoming and house people at home or nearby.

They’re keen, everyone is happy.
