The hatred that some people in this country feel towards asylum seekers and legal immigrants, is the same hatred that many Germans felt towards the Jews. It's irrational and being fostered by malign actors.

Immigration is a serious issue in this country and we need to get a handle on it. Very few folk actually dispute that, but we can have grown up serious debates about it and treat people with humanity, or we can lower ourselves by stirring up hatred and division, and providing easy answers to very complex issues. Fascists like Putin and Musk are exploiting the tensions in this country and people are falling for it.

No, we can’t deport white British men but we can campaign and protest for proper sentencing, higher conviction rates, and the re-opening of the many domestic violence centres and refuges that were closed due to lack of funding over the last 15 odd years.

Until the ‘protectors of women and girls’ are out on the streets after EVERY attack, or rape, or death then it is just about skin colour.
