Simple I know, but a new garden hose !
I inherited an old Hoselock system 20 years ago from my in laws.It was already 10 years old then. The winding handle has broken so i cut my hand on it all the time, it leaks and has a bad kink in the middle.
So frustrating.
Went on Amazon and got a new retractable hose.
It's brilliant and even comes with a hook to loop the hose on.
So simple.I love watering the garden now.Should have done it years ago .

Ooh could you possibly link or tell me which brand you went for? I don’t water the garden that often (joys of living in Wales) but getting the hose out is such a nightmare when I do need to! Thanks 🌺

Does it detect live or dead prey

Mine brought home a fillet steak once. Air sealed packet with a few teeth marks (cut off a bit for dcat then

Served it to dh that night as a treat

Dh is now exh. To this day he never found out where that steak or any other pieces of meat that dcat came home with came from.
He just thought I was a loving wife who had shopped especially for him and was amazing at budgeting.

😂😂😂

OMG I think you’re my new fave person 😂

A night cream with retinol.

I couldn't believe in spent £30 on a face cream. I am not very good at spending money on myself. I was wreaked with guilt.

But it's made my skin feel so nice. Totally recommend it.

I also bought myself a nice coffee on the way to work this morning. I don't usually indulge in decent coffee either, unless I am meeting with someone but I went through the Starbucks drive through and got an oat milk venti latte with an extra shot and a hazelnut syrup and it just started my day off right, feeling I'd had something luxurious. Made working on a Sunday not feeling as bad 😄

Maybe getting a coffee on the way to work and buying an expensive face cream is the norm for some people but they are little luxuries to me that brighten my day.

A new, second hand car. A Golf. I always wanted one and made do with cheaper cars.
I have had an incredibly hard time these last few years but have also worked my arse off.
It makes me smile every time I start the car up.

eyeroll that the add directly below your post was for brand new cars - congrats on your car ❤️

We use the Judge 2 person one from Amazon. Perfect rice & exact portions every time - love it!

This is the one I bought as it was recommended on here. Even Nigella uses it!!! Buy from amazon not directly from judge as for some reason they charge double the price?! Best thing I bought in the last 2 years and use it at least once a week. It also makes brown rice totally palatable which is a big win!

An outside tap double adapter - so I can leave my hosepipe attached and also fill up my watering can .

That is a genius product. Could you link or share the name please?

A separate sock hanging device that you hang off one prong of the washing line so they don’t take up endless space and pegs. I hang the primary age DDs knickers off then too.

OhThePotential · 07/06/2026 15:19

My Zojirushi 2 person rice cooker. I absolutely love it.

This sounds amazing. I've been toying with a rice cooker but it needs to earn it's keep! Do you know what model you have? How many portions does it do? Thanks ❤️

It’s the Russell Hobbs Good to go 8 in 1 multicooker. It’s 6.5 litres so plenty big enough for a big family meal or batch cooking. The control panel comes away then you can put the pot on the table then straight in the dishwasher after. ❤️

I've just flown with an airline that allows you to pay to not have anyone sitting next to you. £50 to have one seat blocked, £100 to have the full row to yourself.
My flight was long haul leaving at midnight and getting in at 7am (local times). I paid the £100, lay down as soon as we were at cruising height, and slept like a baby until the cabin staff rudely prodded me awake for breakfast.
Worth every penny. Who needs business class?

Travsmam · 07/06/2026 15:24

A lazy spa. It’s so relaxing 😎

SmudgeButt · 07/06/2026 15:33

paying someone to do the garden for me. I am physically unable to do the work but love to look out at the beautiful space.

I also love snag tights. how is it that only one company can get tights right? and the website is hilarious.

A little pack of bra extenders. They give me an extra 2cm in the band which is the difference between comfort and discomfort. The next size up is just a bit too big. Best fiver spent for a long time.

Oh I might look for some of those. I’m sure some of my bras aren’t accurate in the band size and don’t stretch enough.

Whelmed · 07/06/2026 15:38

Dehumidifier. Made a huge difference during the winter.

tooloololoo · 07/06/2026 15:38

A nanny

AImportantMermaid · 07/06/2026 15:39

The Le Crueset salt and pepper mills. They just work and they look great.

Namechangefordaughterevasion · 07/06/2026 15:40

disposable cake tin liners. It used to take me longer to cut out baking parchment to line the tins and sides than it did to mix the cakes and the result was never great with botched corners or gaps that leaked.

now I put in a disposable liner that perfectly fits the tin. They cost 5-10p a liner which on a bake that will serve 8-10 people is nothing. Game changers.

I splurged on some expensive noise cancelling headphones and they’ve been worth every penny. Maybe a cheaper pair would have had the desired effect too, but I’m happy with what I’ve bought. I am motivated to listen to more music now as the sound experience is so much better than anything I’ve used before, and that has really improved my moods. This has motivated me to get out walking more often too, as the music gives me more energy and I put my headphones on while walking. This has been positive for my mental health and fitness. The noise cancelling feature has also been great for my productivity while working so I feel I’m achieving a lot more in the same time.

A can opener which works! It just hooks abd glides...Lovely.

I got a device for my cat flap that locks the flap when it detects my cats have prey in their mouth. Best purchase ever (although not cheap)

Omg that’s genius could you please post the details. Sick of waking up to my kitchen looking like an abattoir.

DilemmaDelilah · 07/06/2026 15:51

A second air fryer to take to a self catering holiday. We have found it very useful at home too as the one we usually have is 2 smallish drawers and the second one is one big drawer.

Leavesandthings · 07/06/2026 15:55

GiaGia16 · 07/06/2026 09:46

Hi, yes it’s called ZeroMouse and costs about £200. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t work but it does. Once you’ve fitted the device you download the app and you can see all the photos of your cats entering or trying to, marked either “prey detected” or “no prey detected”. Genius.

Thank you!
