I don’t know what’s happened societally.
There’s a huge number on the left and right that have entrenched themselves so fully into their political tribe that there’s no longer any sense to be found.

I can always see both sides even if I am naturally aligned to one. If someone says something to me that makes sense I listen, I’ll often go and research the history of it so I feel completely informed. All I hear now is sound bytes and that’s often backed up with violence if anyone pushes back and disagrees.

I have a feeling it’s self-radicalisation. I heard that for the first time in a documentary about Nicholas Prosper where police stated at the time that it was the first time that someone had radicalised themselves. I think the tech bros and their advertising algorithms have inadvertently rewired people and this is the fallout.

Maybe there aren't 'two sides'. Maybe life is a little more complex and nuanced than a tennis match or the House of Commons.

I’m usually the one to say there aren’t two sides and things are more complex than that, but in the Palestinian debate there are clearly two sides. One side that believes that Jews have the right to a home land and Israel is in the correct place for that and another that says Muslims were pushed off their own land to make way for Israel and they had the right to claim that land in any way they saw fit.

Normal people don't casually drop 'false flag operation' into conversation. I'm wondering what your social media feed looks like now, but I have some idea.
