She was talking about Jerusalem in 1967. Presumably she meant the area that became the Western Wall plaza when people, mainly Arabs who had moved in since the Jews had all been thrown from THEIR homes in the Old City of Jerusalem 19 years previously, were evicted to other parts of Jerusalem.
Wrong but hardly the reason not to exist as a country.
Well, the European countries that carried out the Holocaust and refused entry to desperate Jewish refugees (including Palestine under British rule) could resettle all the Palestinian refugees. Problem sorted.
Oh, and perhaps you could tell the Iraqis not to carry out violent pogroms against their Jewish populations like the Farhud in 1941 and then expel them all and steal all their property. Perhaps also tell that to the Yemenis, Syrians, Libyans, Tunisians, Algeirians etc etc. I mean, let's not forget the approximately 900,000 Jews expelled from the Arab/Muslim world, most of whom sought refuge in Israel.
Sorry that the existence of a Jewish homeland bothers you but the Holocaust ws just the peak of 2000 years of discrimination and persecution. The Jewish people learnt what happens when you are always a minority and the necessity of national self determination.
