Effing noisy neighbours

I don't actually care if I am being unreasonable. Long story short, neighbours moved in at the backend of 2023. Then spent 4 months to extend the back of their house to include one of the current ubiquitous grey internal kitchen/ living spaces (yawn). Problem is that the space they created is so cavernous that we can hear everything when the concertina doors are fully open. I've been party to some interesting convos, I can tell you.

DH has now installed a 'sound system' outside on our patio. Mostly to drown out the inane chatter and kids' screaming etc. Good for us as we get to play a lot of great stuff going back (e.g today I played Mogwai, Daft Punk, Blondie and so on). But in the back of my mind I can't get the Terrifier movies out of my head 😹 I am sure there are quite a few of us around with a dark humour streak.

Hell is other people. I used to live next door to morons like this.

Unless you and your neighbour are two isolated houses, your sound system is now irritating the fuck out of other neighbours who are probably unaware of the cavernous extension.

Playing music in the garden is worse than an extension….

Or out the front,on the street, like mine are doing now.

They mostly say they can't hear the noisy bunch, although I don't believe them. Equally, they can't hear our music if that is true. We back onto the effing noisy neighbours.

I don't really care. They don't play music much, but they sure talk a lot about nothing.

To be fair, I am nosey as fuck and enjoy earwigging on my neighbours, especially if they have a row. I probably wouldn't be drowning them out with Blondie.
