To ask what water bottle you use?

I have to admit im guilty of buying a plastic water bottle, using it to death and then buying another.

but with this heat at the moment and a holiday coming up, I want a genuinely good, portable water bottle that will keep ice cold all day. My idea is to fill it with ice water in the morning and then refill through the day, hopefully with ice still in it.

At home I use a Stanley cup which keeps it cold all day, but is far too big to travel with! I’m thinking 500-750ml, and quite portable? Does anyone have any recommendations?

I use stainless steel, insulated ones made by One Green Bottle.

I have a massive fake Stanley style one for in the house and I have 2 glass ones with crystals in them that I use for out walking.

I have a Sho 950ml water bottle. It’s great in that it keeps drinks really cool all day, has a straw and doesn’t leak. It can also be used for hot drinks. It is quite large though, so not great for carrying around all day. I like it for work as I only like filtered water and can make it last most of the day as it holds nearly 1L (I drink tea, too, during the day) and it’s also great for the gym.

I have a 769ml Yeti Rambler and an 800ml Klean Kanteen. Highly recommend both. Slight preference for the Klean Kanteen as it is easier to clean and is slim and tall meaning it fits in side pockets easily.

I’ve got a chillys one. It’s 1l but they do smaller ones

Sigg. They are the only bottles I‘ve used that don’t leak. Keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. Can also put fizzy water in them

Just got a new cheap (£8?) from Tesco as a spare for work, looks ok.

I have a 500ml ion8 one which kept my water cool even when it had been left in the car for several hours!

Was that one of the insulated steel bottles? Am temped by one even though they're pricey. I have a plastic Ion8 which is nice and light but doesn't keep water cool at all.

A grand and more for a water bottle ?!?

At that price, I would want it to transform water into liquid gold!

Imagine getting home and realising you'd left your water bottle on the train...

So we have both the ion8 insulated ones- child fills min twice in the day and has ice in it still 12hrs later. Same for the ninja thirsti....

We have owala and ion8 and I much prefer the owalas. Every single ion8 one we've had has broken on the lid/catch and the DC say they dribble everywhere when they drink from them. The owala also has a wide neck so you can dishwasher it without it getting a load of soapy scum caught in it.

Ion8 also has a wide neck but I have often heard that the catch on the lid tends to break quite quickly. Mine is fine so far but it's still early days.

I got an Owala one as a gift earlier in the year and it's fantastic. Not nearly as bulky/heavy as a Stanley cup.

that’s what I was thinking suppose you lose it? But then if you can afford it you can propably buy a replacement. There’s one out there for £6K (not Hermes) and another Hermes for almost £3K. Honestly I find it obscene to spend that much on a water bottle.

I've had mine years and I got it because i extensively read reviews and it was top of all the comparison websites.

The staff at my swimming pool have got used to me forgetting everything from earbuds to make up bags to swimming hats and kindly remind me of my latest 'lost and found' when I arrive in the morning!

Then again, I consider myself extravagant spending a tenner on a water bottle so I guess no fear of me splashing out on a Hermes one just in order to leave it on the bus. But I suppose if you can afford to drop a grand on a rather plain looking water bottle, you're probably not going to be travelling to work on the 47A.

DH and I both have 'Super sparrow' bottles from Amazon. For half the price of most proper brands and they've been great 2 years on.

DH puts a whole tray of ice in his for work, keeps topping it up with water throughout the day (works in a medical environment so always hot) and sometimes there's still ice in it when he comes to empty it the following day.

I have a glass water bottle with an insulated sleeve. It’s great, can stick it in the dishwasher and water tastes so much nicer out of glass than from plastic or metal. I also have a glass water filter jug. I got my bottle from Amazon, they do different sizes.
