We have come a long way in terms of equality and integration in a male dominated world.
We have education ,campaigns , laws and so on and still we suffer and get beaten and attacked and spiked and drugged and raped and killed.

And yet we seem very happy to turn that small progress back to the year dot with men from archaic counties like the stone ages.
Somehow I don't think the response would be the same if we welcomed creatures who were able to and wanted to attack and sell and rape and murder men

Schools should have more funding and be able to deliver lessons on respect and consent etc

@Jellox why do schools need more funding to teach pupils about respect and consent? Surely such teaching should be fitted in to the curriculum.

Of course men in all cultures commit sex offences against women and children. They always have, and they always will.

All cultures, though, don’t share the same attitudes about women’s autonomy, rights, and worth, and the rights of children - for example the right to have a childhood and not be married off or sent out to work at a young age.

Anyone who argues that it’s in some way wrong to talk about these cultural differences is idiotic, and no sane person would say that Afghanistan as anywhere near as civilised as Western countries in this respect. We don’t have to have no rapes or sex offences by native men to criticise other cultures’ attitudes to women and children!

Unfortunately schools are struggling to find time to teach the curriculum, let alone anything else.

Consent and respect are taught but they’re not GCSE subjects and so there is only so much time and effort staff can put into it.

Because someone said that a particular country’s attitude towards women and children is different and I said it’s not a country thing it’s a man thing.

Men all over the world have the same attitude and so using that as a reason to stop certain people coming here isn’t a valid reason.

I can see both sides.

The victims tend to not want them deported and so I think they should have the ultimate say but I’m not sure how that works in principle, especially if there are multiple victims.
