7 afghans charged with human trafficking. Most from Norfolk, one from Scotland an eighth the CPS will have to extricate from Ireland. They're accused of trafficking young teens.

They're uk refugees officially.

Aibu to say charge, if found guilty ship them back to Afghanistan?

Thanks. Awful that five came in on dinghies across the channel and two sneaked in by other means.

We don't share a culture really do we if children are fodder for these men

Do you think men here don’t rape, traffic and abuse women and girls? I work with victims of such crimes and you are not only wrong to think this is purely a “culture” issue but you are an appalling person to try to turn these girls’ horror and pain into a chance to score racist political points.

The sheer ignorance of people who support right wing agendas because they think those groups or parties genuinely care about women and girls makes me weep.

So that’s 1 case you have found? How many more, what are the statistics for girls as young as 11?

it is common practice for lots of 11-16 year olds to get married in America?

and how does this compare with the figures for Afghanistan ?

Gently, your lack of being able to research things is quite concerning.

You have asked several questions on here or said you’ve been unable to find the information, when a quick google takes less than 5 seconds.

That article says how it’s not just 1 girl.
And there are thousands of articles like that on a regular basis.

America has a huge problem with underage brides and child rapes.
They’ve tried to crack down on it and made it illegal in many states but there are loopholes that people get around and of course as it’s so big and the most vulnerable children are isolated then it’s difficult to keep track of.

Look at how many child brides there are in these religious cults.

I just hope you’re not getting all of your ‘facts’ off Facebook and similar.

If you want to be against immigration then fine but you need actual factual data to back up your reasoning, not some random views on Facebook.

Oh well… I mean all this should excuse those coming here on boats then… Jesus wept!!!!
As I said earlier, yes we do have criminals here, importing more of them makes absolutely no sense!! And people making excuses for those coming here on boats just because we already have people here already who rape, traffic and abuse girls is absolutely NO excuse at all!
The sheer ignorance of some people! What a load of gaslighting nonsense!

Yes. If we are not “allowing in” people from Afghanistan because of their countries legal marriage age as per the post I quoted, then that should apply to citizens of any other country who also allow child marriage.

It’s not just about the legal marriage age though.
Look at how women are treated in Afghanistan, they have next to no rights whatever. And that is imposed and facilitated by men, so what does it say about their general attitudes to women?

Yes, the attitudes of the men from Afghanistan was my point of concern, then it got derailed by the child marriage nonsense.

I wish we could home the innocent women and girls of Afghanistan and turn the men away. Because it them who are suffering most under the regime there

A discussion about child marriage is “nonsense”?

But you can’t say about the attitudes of men from Afganistan when the children at the Beastie house were regularly gang raped and beaten and no one did anything about it.

And now 3 teenagers have been found guilty of 2 separate gang rapes and we’re planning more and haven’t been prison time.

Deep down many of the men born and raised here have the same attitudes towards girls and children as they do over there.

Well of course she does, same as everyone posting here does. I was just curious to know what she makes of the discussion so far.

So why allow more of them in then?????

WhosThatGirI · 22/05/2026 18:07

randomchap · 22/05/2026 14:05

Wouldn't it be better to jail them here rather than send them back to Afghanistan where they will be able to abuse more women? Or do Afghan women mean nothing to you?

Oh stop it!

WhosThatGirI · 22/05/2026 18:08

Dweetfidilove · 22/05/2026 16:27

I think they should serve the entirety of their sentences here, then be deported. The victims will want to be assured they've paid for their crimes, and I don't believe we can negotiate completing their sentences in Afghanistan.

And this is what will happen won't it

anniegun · 22/05/2026 18:08

Fasthearty · 22/05/2026 14:10

Deport them. Why should we have to fund their imprisonment?

No punishment then?

Fasthearty · 22/05/2026 18:10

Yetanotherone12 · 22/05/2026 17:59

A discussion about child marriage is “nonsense”?

Well no, as a topic for debate, it is not nonsense, and ithat is not what I meant, and I think you know that. Child marriage I think is abhorrent which I hope you would agree with whether it’s in low % of all marriages in one country, or high % (and normalised) of all marriages in another country.

NoisyHiker · 22/05/2026 18:12

We have our own rapist scum to deal with.

It'd be a damn sight easier to catch and imprison them if our jails weren't full of imported scum.

Fasthearty · 22/05/2026 18:12

anniegun · 22/05/2026 18:08

No punishment then?

Good point, although I think being sent back to Afghanistan would be worse for them. But they’d only make their way back, without their children and wives

Jellox · 22/05/2026 18:15

Flyingintotheunknown · 22/05/2026 18:06

Unfortunately we can’t just ban men from our country.
The world doesn’t work like that.

I believe there is a village in Africa that is women only but I don’t know how that works in a real life context.

NoisyHiker · 22/05/2026 18:17

anniegun · 22/05/2026 18:08

No punishment then?

If our prisons were any sort of actual punishment, like hard labour, I might agree with you.

I don't think a few years of playstation, taking as many drugs as they like, hanging round in the islamic extremist gang and watching porn on their phones is going to bother them that much to be honest.

My personal vote would be for sending them back to that dusty shithole without their hands and 'appendages'.

What has that got to do with your reference to beastie house????

Punishment enough to lose your tax payer funded housing and food tbh.

Hmmm, are you hard of thinking? The point was plainly that the PP I was replying to suggested the crimes came about due to a cultural issue. But in fact the issue is (some) men, regardless of their culture. Most refugees are not committing such (or any) crimes so to suggest that the issue is refugees per se, is simply a way to push a racist agenda under the guise of concern.

Shessweetbutapsycho · 22/05/2026 14:30

The majority of perpetrators of sexual violence against women and girls are white British men, perhaps you should turn your attention there if you care for the young girls here

How is that relevant?

That doesn't make these disgusting men any better.

We can't get rid of home grown rapists but we need to kick out those that we can, and ensure they are never allowed back.

You should be deported to your country of origin if you commit crimes in the UK. It shouldn’t be the Uk taxpayers responsibility to pay for these scum bags, especially deported for crimes as disgusting as this
