Yes there are many Albanian nationals that illegally entered the UK and are in UK prisons. They’ll get deported at the point they’re due to be released. UK and Albanian governments have been working together to try and persuade Albanians not to come to the UK for work because they’ll often be exploited because they can’t legally work. Many end up in cannabis farms.

You however, picked out a particular race (Albanians) and came on here and started ranting about them! I lived in the Middle East and moved around. Not all men in these countries think women are trash. In the case of Afghanistan, until the Taliban came back when the forces left women were doing much better. Many Afghanistan men believe in women's rights but they also live in fear of the Taliban. Please, stop generalising. A lot of people, men included will be wanting to escape the Taliban rule because it's shit, not to come over and rape our women.

How have I generalised about Albanians? And yes, Albanians did make up the majority of people on boats. They are still people smuggling others too.

That's the whole point - you can't. This is what I don’t understand.

Some people will argue that because there are less strict rules regarding rape, child marriages etc in certain countries then this makes the men more dangerous.

But surely that means they’d just stay in their own country.

Why move to a country where women have more rights and freedom and if you rape someone you get into trouble - when you can stay in your own country and not get consequences for doing it.

If you hate women so much, you wouldn’t move to a country where women have rights.

There are of course going to be some men that will commit rape but no more so than someone being born in this country or coming over here legally.

So I understand an argument for not letting everyone in because we don’t have the space but I don’t understand the argument from a safety POV because it doesn’t make sense.

I have to disagree. Why has there been so many attacks by migrants then? It’s been reported almost daily across the U.K. and other countries in Europe have reported the same. There are large groups of men being homed in hotels and hanging about the Clyde in Glasgow which has been really intimidating for woman. Police gave school girls in Dumfries rape alarms as there was groups of them hanging outside the school taking pictures of girls and acting suspiciously. I think it’s really insulting to suggest that woman who have felt intimidated and threatened by these men are generalising have felt the same threat previously. I went to Tunisia and was followed constantly by men, it was terrifying. I was also in Morocco and nearly gang raped by 3 men, the only reason I wasn’t was due to an English man intervening and they through me to the floor and spat on me. I’ve heard so many woman have these experiences. Not all men in these countries are like that obviously but to deny cultural differences regarding the treatment of woman and make out men are all the same regardless of where they are from isn’t as open minded as you think

Jail them for a lifetime - who’s funding this - or let them wander the streets after their sentences and abuse more British women and girls.

There have not been many attacks by migrants.

I think it’s about 15% of all sexual attacks are caused by migrants - which makes sense considering there are more British people here than migrants.

Travelling to a country where women have less rights is very scary and I’m sorry you went through that but that supports my argument.

If these men hate women, they don’t believe women should have rights and women are objects etc etc - then why leave a country where men are in power and go to a country where women have more equal rights - that doesn’t make sense.

In regards to Dumfries - police did give out alarms and speeches but they also did a lot of surveillance and found none of the apparent crimes had been committed.
Still to this day I don’t believe there have been any attacks in that area by any migrants.

The media is very good at scaremongering and I think it’s important to stick to facts.
The outsider groups will always be demonised and feared and those outsider groups change every few years depending on how the media spins it.

There are some good statistics on the rape crisis website.

They have no need to take sides as they have no hidden agenda, apart from caring for and preventing victims of rape and SA.

It doesn’t make sense? Why do woman and men who believe that woman shouldn’t work or should wear a burka come to this country too? There’s lots of our culture that people disagree with but still move here so that point doesn’t make sense. All I hear is you playing down any concerns or reports that woman have had.
