Why does David Beckham need to be seen everywhere?

Like the Chelsea flower show, collaborating with Alan Titchmarsh ffs

He's just absolutely and utterly desperate for attention

OP posts:

I completely agree with you.

Buscobel · Today 09:30

I suppose because he was part of the team, King Charles, Alan Titchmarsh and Beckham, who assisted Frances Tophill in designing a garden for Chelsea.

Possiblyfamous · Today 09:31

I think Frances did the hard, creative work!

carnivalcat · Today 09:32

Brand Beckham!

TobaccoFlower · Today 09:32

I know a rose has been released in his name this year by David Austin. Money from sales will go to the Kings Foundation. Maybe he won't be such a feature of Chelsea in future years.

MaCheCazzo · Today 09:32

He is free to do as he wishes. I'd rather look at him than some DoubleZ list pouty ultra-bronzed balayaged-to-death nobody who once went on a show.

ThereWillBeSigns · Today 09:32

Completely agree. Just fuck off!

I can’t believe he’s at bloody Chelsea! What on earth has he got to do with gardens?!! Fuck the fuck off!!!!

MissDixieVoom · Today 09:33

It’s his job. He’s a media celebrity; a brand. This is marketing.

You wouldn’t ask a software programmer why they insist on spending all their time on a computer.

Yes but why Beckham? What’s he got to do with gardening?

Ablondiebutagoody · Today 09:36

Stay off social media. I haven't seen him for donkeys years.

FennelGingerJasmineOrMint · Today 09:36

I totally agree. He’s everywhere. I swear that The Times newspaper sponsors him ( or the other way round), as there seems to be an article about him or his flippin family every couple of days. So boring!

He's not only on SM though. I tried to watch Chelsea yesterday to appreciate the hard work and talent of people like Francis Tophill and there he was. Again.

senua · Today 09:39

Didn't I see something the other day that said he is the first British billionaire sportsperson. You don't get to be that by staying at home doing the crossword.

TheKittenswithMittens · Today 09:40

So he can start earning his second billion

Needmorelego · Today 09:41

I assume he likes gardening.
What's wrong with that?

youngestisapsycho · Today 09:41

People just like to hate.

KnickerlessParsons · Today 09:43

I don’t mind DB. He’s fairly innocuous.
I think he’s trying to work his way to National Treasure status 😁

Sartre · Today 09:44

At least he’s actually famous which is more than I can say for a lot of the folk pictured there…

Kitestring · Today 09:47

He is the biggest pick me. Paid off for him though. Remember when Sophie EB wore a T-shirt with bored of the Beckhams on the front. That was a whole generation away, the ennui must be strong now, plus now we have the whole brood to contend with now. They have more staying power than athletes foot.

Wynter25 · Today 09:50

Hes doing nothing wrong.

MoonWoman69 · Today 09:51

I totally agree. That and the adverts he's on! I don't understand it. Since his football career ended, he's probably skint or worrying that people have forgotten about him! He's nothing but an attention whore. And tedious with it!

Perrygreen · Today 09:51

I'm sick of his puffy face and dyed hair since he became a Sir. (Yep, in a bad mood today).

Youthinkyourefunny · Today 09:53

I would imagine it is because he is an ambassador for the Kings Foundation,, so entirely appropriate he is there. Invited to the role by The King. He does a huge amount of charity work not least working as an ambassador for Unicef for 20 years. What he actually does is neither here nor there but his name is a good way to boost a charities coffers which is a good thing surely ?

I don’t do instagram or follow celebrities so don’t see him everywhere. I can only say that he could sit on a Caribbean island counting his money but instead does a lot of charitable work which can only be applauded.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · Today 09:53

And with King Charles, too.
Desperate for attention/adulation, I suppose, but I for one am heartily sick of the sight of him.
