Like the Chelsea flower show, collaborating with Alan Titchmarsh ffs

He's just absolutely and utterly desperate for attention

He’s a retired footballer, career is over by 35, you’ve got another 30 odd years to find something to do 😂 I assume he choses which opportunities he wants to take out of the many invites that come his way

I don’t mind DB. He’s fairly innocuous.
I think he’s trying to work his way to National Treasure status 😁

I don't think there is anying innocuous about David Beckham.
I personally I find him offensive.
The shameless exploitation of the gullible general public to increase his wealth and enhance his status is sickening.

The Kings Foundation is a charity which works to create sustainable communities through projects and transforms lives through practical education programmes, including for young people.

The garden is The Kings Foundation garden, promoting health and well-being.

David Beckham is a Kings Foundation Ambassador.

Congratulations in knocking people down for their charity work.

What a weird thread.
Man works for a charity he is part of....and people are complaining 🤷
Huh?

Why more so than anyone else selling stuff? He’s pretty mild surely putting his face to adidas and lays crisps compared to the business people pushing pay day loans, vapes, alcohol, you tube or apple products, no?

Morepositivemum · Yesterday 10:29

Or maybe he’s just living life to the fullest and people are giving him attention!!

BridgetJonesV2 · Yesterday 10:33

I'm more annoyed the way that he and his wife are merching out their teenage DD who never goes to school. I feel very sorry for Harper.

Maybe she has a tutor ?
Home education is a thing you know....

i mean i dont mind DB, but im a united fan and a massive spice girl fan 😂 - he wasnt that great a player though 😂 - hes always been around, and at least he has a skill, more than i can say about people on love island et al. Would you rather them?!

Whataflippincircus · Yesterday 09:34

Yes but why Beckham? What’s he got to do with gardening?

It’s to do with the King’s Foundation. He has bees and the beehives in the garden were something he wanted, I believe. I can’t get too bothered about him being at Chelsea. There are plenty of other well known faces who get a free pass every year and don’t have anything to do with gardening, except having one.

Jackiepumpkinhead · Yesterday 10:51

Agree, I find him revolting.

What, as an ambassador for a charity? Giving his time, supporting others?

phoenixrosehere · Yesterday 10:57

What are some of you all watching that he’s ‘everywhere’?

I’ve only seen his name in my David Austin Roses email about roses named after him and know of him raising bees, and some charity work. Actually seeing him everywhere, social media, on tv, etc, nope.

Starting to think a mix of bots are on a good chunk of threads these days.

Yeah 🙄

PollyBell · Yesterday 11:06

So he needs to hide away and come up only when required? I am neutral on him so dont care either way what he does but i presume he gets filmed by the photographers and doesn't request it himself?

Hackneymumm · Yesterday 11:06

He is so contrived. He was outed saying the honours committee were a bunch of “c*nts” after repeatedly overlooking him for a knighthood due to his well known dubious tax affairs, and now he has finally made it, he is attempting to restyle himself as squeaky clean friend of the king countryside lover and beekeeper. Well he owns a pad in the Cotswolds but I doubt he really tends to his bees unless he’s being filmed, and I expect he employs a skivvy. His self-produced documentaries about him and Vic are just a massive marketing job - not one mention of the literally 1000’s of extra-marital affairs he has had!
He is reportedly seen out and about at events snogging various women still but NDA’s abound.

The inauthenticity of it is what I can’t stand. And they are training up their kids to repeat.

The David Rose or whatever it was called, I "urghed" when I saw his new face this morning, he would turn up to the opening of an envelope.

StillTryingToKeepGoing · Yesterday 11:46

I like him! Good on him for doing his charity work. Tbf, he could do more philanthropy (read a lovely thing about Jack Johnson this morning - wish all the millionaires had his sense of community).

welshgirl2025 · Yesterday 11:46

I agree with you. Whilst I do think he is absolutely gorgeous to see him simpering over the King makes me sick.

Ireolu · Yesterday 11:48

He's the definition of thirsty. The need to be front and center is weird. He's also had work done on his face and it looks puffy and tight. I had no opinion before, now he's everywhere. For someone so well off, the need for validation is odd.

SerendipityCat · Yesterday 11:50

@Hackneymumm

"literally 1000’s of extra-marital affairs"

I don't care for the man much, and I know he's not squeaky-clean, but would you like to rethink that statement?

ThatFlightyTemptressAdventure · Yesterday 11:52

Maybe he has to do it as part of the deal he agreed when he sold Brand Beckham to some investors for ££££££.

I find him a bit cringe worthy now.

Tableforjoan · Yesterday 11:58

Wait till Harpers big skin care launch. Already named and raring to go. He will be all over that as well.

Brand Beckham everywhere all the time. In your face and hopefully in your wallet.

Also does poor harper bless her ever go to school. She always seems to be dragged here and there.
