Thousands of people all over the world follow their parents into the family trade. At least with actors and musicians they still have to prove themselves. Several people I know have literally been gifted their parents' business after spending a couple of decades earning very nicely from internal roles that were never even advertised to anyone else while they were 'learning the ropes' before their folks retired. I don't think this is inherently immoral by the way, we all want to do the best for our kids; I just think it's odd the way people criticise celebrities for getting an introduction, but applaud the local butcher for 'carrying on a family tradition'.

I will say that Burton, Hopkins and Sheen come from the same town/area so maybe there's something in the water there.
