Daughter didn’t enjoy holiday

DH and I went on holiday with my DD (11). When asked if she enjoyed the holiday she says it was ok but was ruined by being left on her own for 2 hours every day. What she’s referring to is when we went for a siesta. Months later she’s saying she wouldn’t want to go again. WWBU?

What dis she do while you slept? Bit shit if left alone at 11, I can imagine it being boring.

What do you mean by you went for a siesta? Do you mean you all went to your rooms and she had quiet time for 2 hours every day, or you left her by the pool for 2 hours?

Did you actually just go for a nap for a couple of hours every day and leave her alone?

I guess if you and your dh went to bed in the middle of the day for two hours and she stayed awake, she maybe felt a bit left out? I get that tbh.

To be fair that does sound a bit boring for her. I'm assuming she is an only child, holidays can be a bit boring once you get to that age and are basically just hanging around with your parents 24/7 (apart from when they leave you alone for 2hrs per day)
