😆😆😆 love this.
Especially if the 10 page letter was the handwitten one.

THEY WERE ON A BREAK!

Was it both sides of the 10 pages, OP?

Well done for dodging that bullet, but please be careful. Someone who still views you as a "prized possession" could be ruthlessly vengeful about having their favourite toy taken away.

He can’t hurt me.

my eyes are wide open.

but thank you for your post

😂Indeed! (he may actually be thinking that! #deluded)

That's a great question..! Imagine if it were.

@HolyCheeses , i am so glad that you could easily detangle yourself from him when he revealed his hidden self.

Yes!

It was??!! Was this the typed/printed or handwritten one?

Handwritten was both sides
This is going to sound terrible I can barely remember any of it

It was buzzing I didn’t really register then it left head space

The only one stuck was the possession paragraph. Ick.

Hmm I have dreams about being in that house and things going terribly wrong - then I wake up so relieved

Gosh what a nightmare it would’ve been to extricate myself then.

Thank god for vipers!

They have their uses sometimes, don't they?

Thanks for the update @HolyCheeses It’s always nice to hear what’s happened. Glad you’re doing well x 💐

@HolyCheeses

Soooo forgive my (ancient) memory. Is he actually living in 'Casa Paradiso' now and managing to afford it all on his own? I'll say this for him, he certainly is persistent and delusional.

Glad things are going well for you. Long may it continue!

TheBlueKoala · 07/07/2026 15:50

@HolyCheeses it's so funny that he thinks that telling you that you're a "prized possession" will make you come running back to him😂.

I blocked on social media but I’m guessing so - that all is complete I mean.

Time will tell whether they can afford it all. Not my circus as the saying goes ☺️

@HolyCheeses how could you possibly resist him now?

Honestly he is a prize prick isn't he.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 08/07/2026 07:31

I am shocked this is still going on. Do you need a cease and desist type letter?

Bombayss · 08/07/2026 12:08

It is a real male trait IMO, the inability to accept the word No.
He had a big plan and you were a part of it.

He simply cannot fathom that it is not going forward.

He sounds completely unstable and stuck.

I am so glad for you that you dodge such a nightmare scenario.

That mess could take years to extract yourself from if you had gone for it.

It never ceases to amaze me how focused older men are in getting a nurse with a purse.

My golf club is awash with stories, like a bingo card.

100% complete self interest and blindness to the fact that many solvent women having buried or divorced a partner, have zero interest in ever sharing space with a man again.

Enjoy that precious peace.

That’s very interesting I don’t know anyone in that situation and ‘nurse with a purse’ was something I had never heard until MN!

OP posts:
Bombayss · 09/07/2026 23:26

Oh the nurse with a purse is all MN, i had never heard of it either.

However when I did read it, it landed so hard.
I had heard the stories of widows with partners barely cold being approached by other members, old friends.

These would be solvent men who would love a solvent woman to provide home comforts.

Men are surprisingly focused on that as they age.

TheBlueKoala · 10/07/2026 06:55

@HolyCheeses @Bombayss
Yes it's nurse with a purse for a specific demographic but for younger divorced men you got "nanny with a fanny". I can't count on how many stories I have from real life and MN who describe this phenonomen; man divorced with kids- move in another woman and gradually makes her responsible for all household chores and childcare. Man then keeps on living his "best life" while having unpaid nanny with a fanny at home. All younger women should be warned.

For @HolyCheeses you dodged a bullet. Not only did he expect a cleaner/cook and care for his elderly parents. He also wanted to abuse you financially. What a prince. Well done for not falling in to that trap!!!

HolyCheeses · 10/07/2026 09:05

Wow I feel so sheltered ! Honestly not heard of either before coming here - nanny with a fanny , how gross!

every time I come back to update you guys make me feel so much better to stopping it all

zero regrets

Absolutely this.

I have a few friends with very solvent daughters that have had relationships with men with children and I introduced them to the nanny with a fanny label that I read on MN.

None of them had heard about it, but I filled them in and they were so alert and on point when tiny red flags waved and they were so quick to say directly to their daughters that they hoped they wouldn't become a nanny with a fanny.

All young women were surprised by the term AND to hear their mothers use it and to be so informed about the potential pitfalls.

I have two daughters and would be appalled to see them so used so am personally invested!

When one friend had pressure put on her to take his 4 year old for the night as he wanted to go to a stag, and his EX was already away, she very firmly told him no, she wasn't his nanny with a fanny and his childcare was NOTHING to do with her.

His outrage was enough for her to see her future and she walked.

Women fall into dynamics when we don't know any better, but we catch on quickly!....once we do.

@HolyCheeses men are mostly horrible. Some are wonderful but not in the main
