This is what I’ve eaten over the last 7 days.
Does this seem like too much food to you or not a lot of food?
Female 5 foot 2.

Day 1

4 egg omelette with 2 pork chops and red pepper, sweet corn.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts spread out and picked on over the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 2

3 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with some veg.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts picked on throughout the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 3
4 egg omelette and pack of prawns, sweetcorn and spinach.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g bag of Mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 4
Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

Day 5
4 fried eggs, mushrooms, an avocado, tomatoes and bacon.
Snacks - half a pack of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 6
500g diced beef fried with red pepper and mushrooms.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 7
1 Tin of tuna and salad.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half packet of 200g mixed nuts.
1 bottle of white wine.

2 fillets of salmon with green beans, broccoli and red pepper.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g packet of nuts.
5 cups of decaf coffee.
1 bottle of white wine.

I have used the term half a pack instead of (450g) cheese and 100g nuts because I thought people would be able to imagine a 900g block of cheese and 200g pack of nuts easier as that’s how they come.
Does this sound like too much food or not enough food please?
I typically eat one meal a day in the morning and pick on cheese and nuts sporadically for the rest of the day.
This is because I need to eat until I’m full or I will still feel hungry after so I eat a big main meal first thing as it works for me and I feel full.
The cheese and nuts are because of a craving for cheese. I love my cheese.

Oh I'm not saying the OPs diet is healthy, just that high fat and keto isn't necessarily unhealthy.

ah, I agree with that. It’s definitely not what I’d do but most “mainstream” diets can be healthy (and for some conditions very beneficial) if done under the appropriate care of a nutritionist and after consulting a doctor in the case of underlying health conditions.

I do however wonder about OP’s iron levels (and quite a few other minerals and vitamins) due to OP’s diet being so incredibly unbalanced.

I personally have been prescribed a supplement that contains iron, magnesium, copper and zinc (amongst other minerals and vitamins) and I have been strictly instructed to not take this with dairy or coffee… which would be difficult if I consumed a pound of cheese and 5 cups of coffee a day!

This is batshit. Is it real 🤣

Notsosweetcaroline · 30/03/2026 18:23

Can I ask when you started doing this op and what drove you to it. It’s eating thay big meal in the morning. It’s such a large amount of food, few could stomach it in the morning, do you actually cook that full meal every morning?

honestly. Do you not feel sick, lethargic, have bowel issues? Do you never have dinner with your family? Do you cook it all then sit and eat it on your own?

you say you need to eat till you’re full so you don’t get hungry later, but it’s normal to get hungry every 5 hours or so.its the sign of a healthy digestive system, and you’re eating all that cheese and nuts after, to prevent any hunger appearing.

hunger is not something to fear. We should eat till we are about 80 percent full, not till we are stuffed, we should feel like we could eat more, then aim to eat again, about 5 hours later.

@kkloo the cholesterol blood test results from people on Keto diets can be pretty alarming. I’m talking as high as 13.5 or 12 for example and one time a patient went up from 5.4 to 9 in a 3 month period . Don’t kid yourself it is in any way healthy!

I went on it for health reasons and it healed me!

I have no idea how healthy it is for those who go on it for weight loss.

That’s interesting, I used to have what felt like an imaginary sweat when I ate cheese and get a rash on my forehead but when I touched my face there was no real sweat there just a mild tingling sensation and if I touched the rash it would go flaky.
I also have a lot of hair loss which I put down to nutrition deficiency but maybe that’s why I need cheese. I don’t get this now I eat so much of it.

Edited

What have I just fucking read

Lourdes12 · 30/03/2026 18:29

This is a large amount of food for one day

WimbyAce · 30/03/2026 18:31

That is a crazy amount of cheese! And don't you eat any other meals?

oncemoreuntothebeachdearfriends · 30/03/2026 18:34

😀😀😀
How can people take this seriously ?

GoldMoon · 30/03/2026 18:35

Where is your 5 - 7 portions of fruit & veg a day ?
Have you ever had your Cholesterol checked ?
I love cheese but a 500g pack probably lasts us ( dh & I weeks and weeks ) plus a little grated parmesan now and again .
You say you are 5ft 2 , how much do you actually weigh ?

Xmasbaby11 · 30/03/2026 18:35

Quite a bizarre unbalanced diet I’d say. I wouldn’t expect you to be overweight on that amount but just doesn’t look like a good range of food.

I’m not keto. But what kind of keto diet are you talking about?

some people do vegetarian or pescatarian keto. Which may include seitan, cod, haddock, salmon, macadamia nuts, some tofu, avocado etc. I’d be very surprised if they had cholesterol related issues after three months.

Just like a high carb diet might primarily consist of whole grains, potatoes, legumes, fruits and veggies. Or it might primarily consist of sugary cereals, beer, pasta and white bread…

The cheese and nuts would be 2400kcal a day.

MadeofCheeese · 30/03/2026 18:43

I'm a cheese addict and I get through 1 900g a week!!

Really? It’s a massive calorific value!

Cheese 1872
Nuts 581
Eggs 262
Pork Chops 1000

3.715 calories and you do think OP would be overweight with a sedentary lifestyle?

TipsyPeachSnake · 30/03/2026 18:47

Why so many eggs? Half an egg contains more cholesterol than the recommended daily allowance.

NotAWurstToIt · 30/03/2026 18:50

When I first posted on this thread, I hadn’t noticed the volume of food in the ‘one’ meal per day, but OP you are consuming between 8000 and 11000 more calories per week than you need! That’s a hell of a lot.
If you spread that one large meal across 3 or 4 meals, got rid of a lot of the cheese and nuts and added more fruit and veg, plus upped your water intake you’d see and feel a difference quite quickly.
You clearly don’t want to mention your weight and that’s your right, but you don’t seem to have a full grasp of what and how much you are consuming and I can’t imagine you feel great like this.
You can make some quite significant changes if you meal plan a bit more and limit the snacking. Good luck,

Out of that list of food you're worried about the (now debunked) cholesterol effect from eating eggs?

Agreed!! The eggs are not an issue, compared to the rest!

venus7 · 30/03/2026 18:57

Very few vegetables or fruit......

NotAWurstToIt · 30/03/2026 18:58

In terms of weight OP, if you are sedentary as you describe, there’s a strong chance that you could be gaining around half a stone per month (maybe more), which would be 6 stone in a year. Is that what’s happening?

TipsyPeachSnake · 30/03/2026 19:00

Cheese is addictive because it contains casomorphins which causes the cravings

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 30/03/2026 19:01

Exactly it's very possible to do clean keto.

I didn't when I was on it for health reasons, but if it had ended up being a permanent or more longer term thing I probably would have made healthier choices.

All that cheese!!!!!!!

inmyera · 30/03/2026 19:10

if I ate that much cheese I'd be the size if a house. I have 80g cheese a week! except at Christmas, then I probably eat your 8 days worth in a day
