To think perhaps WFH might need encouraged again for a while

The news refers to petrol shortages. Not sure if it’s just headlines or clickbait. But if there are going to be shortages, surely the government should be starting to encourage WFH and using public transport where possible

Oh don't say outwith, that's another Scottish term and you might get into trouble!

The problem is, they don't know or want to accept, the solution. Because change is hard. And requires management

A lot use electric vehicles. If fuel is expensive for the public it'll be even more expensive for delivery firms. Electric will be cheaper

*There's not much left.
*It does not actually belong to 'us' as Thatcher sold the rights to outside interests 40+ years ago. Any oil is sold on the international market. It is priced in dollars (currently). If we buy it, it's at the same price as any other customer.

Affected (not effected).....but yes, I agree that's also being petty lol! X

A more important question is those who can't wfh, who still have to pay the fuel prices or none available. What will happen then when medical staff, Police, teachers, retail staff, can't get into work? Also delivery drivers, taxis will be hit hard.

If it comes to a point where fuel becomes inaccessible then the proportion of choice to wfh is negligible within the larger picture.
