Lighthearted- What petty thing(s) bother you?

I have quite a specific example.

I have a family member who saves photos from my social media page, saves them and then posts them onto her own page. (Without permission.)

It has been driving me nuts, even though it’s so petty!

What about you?

Dunce caps should be brought back for people who put an ‘e’ in ‘ridiculous’. I see it daily. It’s ’ridiculous’, not ‘rediculous’!

Parents who talk loudly and boastful at children's sport/dance competitions. "Oh look, it's Mary, with Jessica. Come and sit by us. We've been here all day. Olivia was in the first heat and now we've got to wait an hour for the medal presentation, Obviously she got gold again, 3rd year running". With a voice like a foghorn.

Also people (mainly inlaws) give out the wrong medical information about people. Sometimes they over react and Sometimes they under react. Also sometimes they get 2 words confused that sound the same but mean 2 different things like when they told everyone they knew that a mutual friend was having an autopsy when he was having a biopsy.

One of my favourite comments was from a parent at a swimming gala. There was a display of medal holders,
Parent 1 said “Oh look you these are cute you can get them personalised, I might get one for Jenny she’s got quite a few to display now”
Parent 2 “ Oh they’re wooden too, so pretty strong. Lucy’s is plastic and is starting to break…it simply can’t cope with the sheer weight of all her medals”

Road works when as a pedestrian there's nowhere safe to cross

Road works where they put the signs on the pavement so those with buggies have to go into the road with their babies to get past. Goodness knows what wheelchair users are supposed to do.

Equally irritating is bin day, where both householders and bin men leave bins blocking the pavement when if they’d just taken a little more time the pavement would be much more accessible.

That annoying piece of hair that's too short to tie up or tuck behind my ear but just hangs there

I have been reading some older books (John le Carré right now) and the authors keep assuming that anyone reading their books will also be able to read French. So I keep having to check my phone for translations.

One day Lucy will die and her relatives will just chuck all these medals in the bin as tat. It's very sad that something that is so meaningful to parents probably means less to the child and will mean even less to their relatives.

Grown men who wear replica shirts and team scarves to football games. Grow up, you immature twats.

All activewear/gym clothing for women described as ‘buttery soft’ in the name. By any retailer, in the online description, by influencers promoting it. You can’t just have yoga/gym/running leggings any more, they have to be buttery soft.

I’ll add to that sharing medical information at all!! Especially older family members grimly gossiping about family and friends. Do I need to hear about aunty Janice’s colonoscopy, or June from next door but one’s hysterectomy ?! No thank you!

Portmanteau words, especially in the context of clothes, eg shacket
