Nursery issues... album to move him?

Am I overthinking this?

I wrote an incident form with the details of a head bump. My 2.5yo fell out of my bed when he stayed with me the one night and hit his head on either the bed side table or windowsill. The windowsill is very low amd the bedside table is little and next to so depending on how far he went over would depend on where he bumped. I was asleep??? I don't have a crystal ball, but they want 'more information'

This is a nursery that reported me for nappy rash and made out I was being neglectful. He does have sensitive skin which has been attended to by GP, it was also seen the same say of the report and the gp did not note any concerns about how the rash was there.

I'm not perfect, I'm a single parent with two children and can be a little disorganised trying to manage everything on top of the two year old that switches my washing machine on the second I turn my back and is into EVERYTHING. He is just a bit of whirlwind, what exactly is there problem? Just feels like they are judging me at every chance they can... from a nursery that hasn't even sent me an invoice since Feb 2025!

Why have they not sent you an invoice since Feb 25? Does that mean you haven’t paid anything since then?

I get funding through student finance, which the haven't claimed and they haven't sent me an invoice invoice Feb '25 so I have just been paying what I've worked out the 15% I pay is. I have asked several times and given up.

Anyway, I am not going to keep waffling on about the s47 visit last year the case was closed no concerns were found. Whilst I considered moving him, ultimately I didn't because he is happy and settled and its about him, not me. I told the nursery i was looking round somewhere new at this time and they told ss I'd pulled him from the nursery because he was off that day 😆🙄

I was wondering if I was overthinking and the manager was just following protocol or whether she could just be having it in for me. Anyway, following responses, I have come to the conclusion that they are just following protocol but are useless around other things so I will look to move him for September.

Couple of years, we've known each other a very long time as friends and I know his kids too. Anyway, he isn't the kids lives yet so it's irrelevant and he had nothing to do with any of the above. They wouldn't even know his name.

Where did I say he stays over? He does not, he never has.

What other thread? He doesn't stay over at all. He may well have stayed over once or twice but not for a while and never when the children are there.

I know which thread you mean, in that thread I didn't say he stays over either, I said a single bed wasnt an option because I have a partner. He could start staying soon? He could stay when the kids arent there, I am not going to restrict myself with a single bed if there are other options.

No normal nursery will send social services out for a nappy rash, so if that is what happened, I would definitely move.

FedUp120028 · 25/03/2026 10:26

@DingleDungle it certainly felt that was what happened and ot was the only concern raised in the referral and in the final report. When I started looking elsewhere (most places are full) they actively told ss that I had pulled him from nursery because he was off for one day to look round somewhere! Just screams unhinged to me.

Well both of thise were the same day because they hadn't discussed it with me really or asked any questions just told me abiut and told me they'd refer. But to answer your question - no it was about 5 days later when I had an appointment with another nursery.
