Re the creme egg Easter egg...

Its just a big boring hollow chocolate egg with a creme egg on the side. Why would I buy that instead of a box of 6 creme eggs?

And why cant they just make one massive creme egg?

Cadburys creme eggs are so expensive now & so much smaller. They used to take me 2 or 3 bites, now I can fit a whole one in my mouth; or maybe I've just got a big mouth!

With Walnut at the bottom under the mallow too please like they used to be.

Because it sounds vile, sickly and likely to spike people's insulin levels to cope with all that processed sugar. They'd have to put out a health warning like they do with cigarettes.

Each to their own. I couldn't even eat a mini one they're so sickly...Also they would probably have to make the chocolate extra thick as that much filling would weigh loads!

Basic maths: the volume of creme increases in proportion to the square of the surface area of the chocolate. So in a giant egg the ratio of creme to chocolate would be completely off.

It would probably send you into a coma!

My maths was never my strong point 😄 but I think youre making problems when they’re aren’t there. A huge thick chocolate egg with the same ratio, X up, of crème as in the small egg. Surely it would work!

I was sitting there hunched over my keyboard just waiting to pounce on that one (as if).

Made one once for a friend’s birthday. It was the centrepiece at the buffet- we even made the foil wrapping using paint tin foil and paint pens.

I used to love the Pimp That Snack website - a friend made the Tunnocks Teacake that's on it. Posting a direct link gives a 404 error, but if you google "creme de la creme egg" + snack, you should find it.

The sad thing is that if people stopped blowing each other up and hating on one another, this is the kind of thing that could be achieved. A group of people working together for the common good, to gift to humanity a massive fondant filled chocolate egg.

The challenge is clearly structural integrity. How can you keep the chocolate thin enough to eat but thick enough to contain the fondant?

If less money was spent on weapons and vapes this could be solved, I’m sure of it.

Yes, you'd never be able to carry it walking home from the shops - you'd definitely have to have a vehicle with you.

Obviously impossible because the weight of the fondant would require the chocolate to be ridiculously thick... however I propose a compromise. A half filled super sized creme egg, about half way between a regular creme egg and the smallest Easter egg size. You could open the top and make a hole and dunk out some fondant.

I had a recipe pop up on Facebook for these, I screenshotted it and DD and I are going to give it a go on Saturday. I'll let you know how they turn out.
