Why cant they make a gigantic creme egg?

Re the creme egg Easter egg...

Its just a big boring hollow chocolate egg with a creme egg on the side. Why would I buy that instead of a box of 6 creme eggs?

And why cant they just make one massive creme egg?

It could come with a super long chocolate spoon so you scoop out some creme and bite a piece off the spoon with every mouthful

You can make your own easily. The filling is literally just icing sugar and water.

I would definitely buy that!

Mmmchocolatebuttons · 19/03/2026 12:26

I would just like them to put the original creme eggs back to their original size.

It can’t be- different consistency and taste though?

TomatoSandwiches · 19/03/2026 12:26

Just the thought has made me feel a bit sicky.

YesssSpringHasSprung · 19/03/2026 12:27

Ummm because they are DISGUSTING maybe?!

MerryGuide · 19/03/2026 12:28

Easter egg sizes are spun in moulds, cream eggs sizes are one shot or shell moulded.
So a filling is much more likely to causes breakage, or spill through the join of two halves in a giant egg.
Its a pain!

Laiste · 19/03/2026 12:29

It would weigh a ton! A crème egg the size of a boxed Easter egg.

Maybe a fist size one. For Easter. Yum !

JustAnotherWhinger · 19/03/2026 12:29

The amount of chocolate needed to deal with the weight of that much filling would be way more than a usual Easter egg. It would weigh a tonne and cost a fortune.

i wish they’d go back to putting the sweets in the middle of the Easter eggs

It isn't, its a bit more complex than that, its sucrose, cornsyrup, water and egg white.

Likely the reason they don't make a giant one is it'd be impossible to eat in one go and wouldn't store well.

FionnulaTheCooler · 19/03/2026 12:29

I wish I could go to McDonald's and just get a mcflurry container filled with the creme egg mix, forget the ice cream. I doubt they'd do it though.

Gowlett · 19/03/2026 12:31

Gigantic Walnut Whip, please!

That's a very good compromise. A fist size one with a chocolate spoon and it could be wrapped in gold foil

Curly Wurly the size of a fireman’s ladder.

Why can’t they make one the same size as me? I would buy it for sure.

Zov · 19/03/2026 12:55

YES, one about 8 times the size of a creme egg is now.

I would eat it for sure. (In one go!)

Worth getting a job at macdonalds for this!

JudgementalCat · 19/03/2026 13:00

Because they're vile.

VikingLady · 19/03/2026 13:01

That sounds vile.

But imagine if it was a caramel egg though….

ConstanzeMozart · 19/03/2026 13:02

Oh no, it would be so sickly! The proportion of egg to filling in a normal Creme Egg is a bit much, IMO (although I do struggle woman fully through them sometimes, for form's sake). The mini ones are better proportion wise, I think.

Itsmetheflamingo · 19/03/2026 13:02

I saw the one in Cadbury world! It’s nuts not practical- cost, distributing, transport etc.

YetAnotherAlias62 · 19/03/2026 13:04

Only if they go back to the original recipes of all the Cadburys products that Mondelez have ruined since taking over.
I used to only buy Cadburys, I never buy Cadburys any more....
