Exactly, to all your posts.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who are deeply flawed around and are simply not concerned about the deaths of some brown people thousands of miles away.

I dunno. Some people are when it suits their political agenda. They say they care about the horrific murders carried out by the Iranian regime on its own people and the equally horrific plight of Iranian women. They imply those of us who are against this illegal war don't care about any of this.

But when it comes to the US murdering Iranian school girls, it's 🤷‍♀️.

It is quite disturbing.

But we do care, 30000 plus protestors were killed by the Iranian security services this has been widely reported and condemned you must have read about it, so I've no idea why you think we don't care about 'brown people'.

The deaths of the school girls on a miliary base is tragic and horrific. Obviously.

Regime change wasn't a reason to bomb Iran, neither was destroying nuclear weapons

From the NYT

Mr. Rubio and Mr. Hegseth, however, appear to have coordinated their messaging for now on three discrete goals that they began laying out in public remarks on Monday and Tuesday.

“The goals of this mission are clear,” Mr. Rubio said at a State Department event on Monday before Mr. Trump held his own news conference. “It is to destroy the ability of this regime to launch missiles, both by destroying their missiles and their launchers; destroy the factories that make these missiles; and destroy their navy.”

thats quite a narrowing of focus.
no regime change? no end of nuclear capability?
seems like an awful lot of bombing of stuff that will be rebuilt.

I suppose that means they get to bomb them again in the future. Never ending war indeed. Russia gets the financial bounce from selling oil. Arms manufacturers celebrate increased sales. Win-win or something.

Llttledrummergirls · 11/03/2026 10:20

I'm a bit bemused by destroy the navy? Why the navy and not the army (apart from them being soft targets). How was the navy defending the nuclear weapon making thst they destroyesd totally lst year? All the random shit they did because they don't have a fuckinv clue, are now retrospective targets.

They think we are all as thick as they are.

Im assuming because they are worried about the straits and boats being able to traverse safely. However, you don't actually need a navy to close the strait of anyway since you can fire weapons from the shore. But that would be my guess.

And this requires the destruction of towns?

It is a sad consequence of any conflict that there will be civilian casualties.

You know and I know that school children will not have been targeted by the US and yes strikes should of course be precise but mistakes sadly occur. Unlike, terrorists sponsored by the Iranian regime who do infact target civilians and children.

Well, you don't know that, the judgement may have been made that the destruction of the nearby IRGC facilities was a price worth paying, though of course it wont be their kids paying that price.

The US blew up that school, no consequences, no gains.... just "Collateral damage"

The Iranians will be the winners, they can attack shipping forever more and there is nothing we can do about it.... no one will insure the ships and all they have to do is threaten and launch the odd drone and the ships will not go through.

Even the most idiotic of Trump supporters should be able to see what that means for the global economy?

DuncinToffee · 11/03/2026 16:38

Nobody on here is defending the regime in Iran.

Read the thread and links provided.

Rubio and Hegseth have spoken about the goals, they do not include regime change.

Notonthestairs · 11/03/2026 16:55

Nobody is defending the Iranian regime or their proxies.

But the US attack was never about achieving regime change.

And personally I don’t think we are less at risk now.

SerendipityJane · 11/03/2026 16:56

And ?

Are you suggesting the end justifies the means ?

If Trump really wants to be considered a king he should change his name to Herod.
