Polanski is a buffoon

Bertiebiscuit · 07/02/2026 18:28

How anyone can take the Green party leader Zac Polanski seriously is completely beyond me. He has zero grasp of economics, beyond conning women out of ££££s by pretending he could hypnotise them to increase their bust measurements. He is the worst representative of gay men who worship the men pretending to be women, with no regard for womens and girls' right to privacy, dignity and safety. The man is a 24 carat buffoon.

Do carry on seeing Farage fans round every corner, Golden. It’s probably mostly true tbf, given Reform’s popularity, concerning though that it is.

But not for me, sorry to disappoint.

And so has @teawamutu been here for years. So I guess you haven’t been on FWR much.

It's not about that though, you et al. Are putting women off voting for all the parties that care more for equality than Reform ever will. Your actions are a danger to democracy but I'm not convinced you are not well aware of that.

Not explaining exactly what a woman is definitely not a 'non issue'!

Can you need to learn to read and stop misquoting people. You still haven't acknowledged that

Foundress · 08/02/2026 15:54

I haven’t read the full thread. Polanski (not his real name?). He worries me a lot actually. He is very very plausible when he speaks. I watched him on Newsnight the other night. A lot of people could be taken in by him.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/02/2026 15:54

@HappyFace2025

Of course that poster knows what a woman is, like everyone else on the planet, even when they’re pretending not to. We even had the appeal to “women’s rights”. And apparently it’s now all my fault that democracy is collapsing. Hey ho, what a busy life I lead!

LifeInTheWind · 08/02/2026 15:55

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 08/02/2026 14:20

But why do you assume that someone who does not approve of the Greens will necessarily adopt Reform?

Why bring it even up?

It’s so lazy, isn’t it? I’ll either spoil my vote, or vote tactically to keep Reform out.

Where's the evidence he hates women? I've not seen that.

He's the only political leader I've seen getting traction with the message that the rich are getting richer, and running many of our services into the ground, while the rest of us feel the pinch.

I think that's a message worth broadcasting and getting behind, and I wish more politicians were on our side and saying the same thing.

We need politicians who are willing to hold corporations and services to account, properly.

He's nowhere near government at the moment so I'm less bothered by his economic know how (or lack thereof). Of course if and when they get closer to power the Greens would need a fully costed plan.

Not that I'm confident in any other party economically - the Tories were a disaster, not sure things are much better with Labour and Reform based on their councils (and Brexit campaigning rhetoric) are willing to outright lie about spending and savings.

I think the ‘he hates women’ thing is just referring to the fact he isn’t anti trans rights. It doesn’t seem to be based on anything else.

I agree with his message too. He’s the only politician who’s campaigning against wealth inequality. Everyone else just wants to preserve the status quo, and we just need to look at the Epstein files to see where having an elite, rich ruling class has got us.

It is a non issue.

You are playing straight into the hands of people who despise women by doing their work for them.

Lining up next to the likes of Trump!

So do explain what a woman is, so we are all clear, (including fans of Polanski).

It is lazy. It’s the hallmark of people who know they have no valid argument against the clearly stated thing you actually think, so they have to try to dismiss you and that’s an easy way to do it.

Goldenbear · 08/02/2026 14:42

What a deflection. What happens to womens rights like the right to be treated equally in a marriage if we leave the ECHR ChardonnaysBeastlyCat? I'm sure your obdurate nature will mean there is no response just like there wasn't on the political party you do align with, presumably because it's the embarassing one beginning with R or C either way both don't give a crap about women's rights.

I wouldn't even rise to it.

I think this is a mistake that the leftist parties have made for years - it is not the duty of the electorate (particularly women, in recent elections) to hold their noses and vote in these parties despite their batshit, unpopular policies. It is their job to persuade people to give their votes via policies that appeal to the electorate.

Polanski, the Lib Dems, the tra faction of Labour have made it very clear that they don't want my vote as a nasty terf. Very well, they don't get it.

If you want them to get more votes, suggest to them they try adopting sane policies that the electorate wants.

It is not a non issue, and it isn’t going to go away just because you disapprove of the women standing up against it.

No she isn't. Just because he is gay doesn't mean he is not a buffoon (and a dangerous one, at that).

Dangerous to billionaires, ongoing and increasing wealth inequality and the status quo perhaps.

This.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/02/2026 16:01

I’ve seen Labour supporters literally raging here that people won’t vote for them because of this issue and others. My vote belongs to me, no one else.

ilovesooty · 08/02/2026 16:02

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/02/2026 15:25

No one cares what you think @Goldenbear terribly shocking though this might be to you - they don’t want to be falsely accused of voting in a way they don’t identify with though, you have zero idea what people’s politics are on this thread, and your notions are pretty simplistic.

Speak for yourself. I find her posts interesting.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/02/2026 16:03

Also they get angry that anyone dares to suggest that left wing parties need to give up the batshit stuff in order to become electable to a majority of people, or that it was why Trump was elected, for eg.

Noted, what in your little book of none issues.

I really shouldn't be getting sucked back in this batshitery, but really, defining what a woman is a non issue for you?

How can you even dare mentioning the rights of women when you cannot even be arsed to answer what one is?

Just say you’re a Tory/ right winger and be done with it. Don’t use your and my and all of our womanhood as your figleaf
