Polanski is a buffoon

1000 replies

Bertiebiscuit · 07/02/2026 18:28

How anyone can take the Green party leader Zac Polanski seriously is completely beyond me. He has zero grasp of economics, beyond conning women out of ££££s by pretending he could hypnotise them to increase their bust measurements. He is the worst representative of gay men who worship the men pretending to be women, with no regard for womens and girls' right to privacy, dignity and safety. The man is a 24 carat buffoon.

His interview on TRIP Leading was toe curling when it got to his understanding of economic policy.

MissCooCooMcgoo · 07/02/2026 20:28

He hypnotised women to believe what now?

He didn't. It's part of a smear campaign that people unfortunately repeat and regurgitate as it suits their agenda...

GainOfFunctionTories · 07/02/2026 20:22

I also have daughters there’s no way I’d ever want a Reform government who would do so much harm to women and girls

I think you're talking about the Gaza Independents. Sectarian politics is much more scary for women and girls.

Seems to be that or take the piss out of his teeth . I find it quite reassuring actually that these are the only things they seem to be trying to discredit him with ! Could be a lot worse !

How are any of the other parties proposing protecting the nhs currently ? I believe what he says and I feel he is the best chance this country has . We are so conditioned to despair fighting against each other and struggling that we can’t see the way out that he’s offering. Thank goodness he’s so popular with the younger generation as that will hopefully be what he needs in time for the next general election.

If he's the best chance we have we're in deeper shit than I thought! He wants to leave nato, do away with our nuclear deterrent, have open borders and thinks he can persuade Putin to ditch his nuclear weapons. That's before we get to him thinking people can change sex. He's a dangerous, deluded fool

GainOfFunctionTories · 07/02/2026 20:21

Tax the super rich
protect the nhs
give renters more rights / lower rents
Legalise and regulate drugs
Clean up the water and nationalise water companies

And if he was being honest about tax I might be able to give him a chance.

But most experts don't think a wealth tax will raise much (if any) money and certainly nothing like the amounts needed to do everything Polanski claims it will.

LemonSqueezy0 · 07/02/2026 20:30

Hence me saying Google it, as various sources report on it. He apologised for getting caught up in it but never thought he could increase breast size etc. It was more about body confidence etc, but the journalist wanted a sensational headline that people with short attention spans would be attracted by..... Fair play, that approach worked!

He was asking women what they thought their husbands thought about their body.

LemonSqueezy0 · 07/02/2026 20:52

Pineneedlesincarpet · 07/02/2026 20:33

But he admitted it??

OK. So if I accept that he admitted it, and apologised. Is that not the end of it? It was a number of years ago. I feel other political leaders have done way worse, way more recently that I actually think impacts on us, or has already done so.. Eg the bus that claimed brexit would give us hundreds of millions £ to pump into the NHS, who came up with that lie?

Who are you voting for?

EsmaCannonball · 07/02/2026 20:53

I can think of one other country that gave up its nuclear weapons: Ukraine. Went well, I think.

I just love how he's being held up to such high standards and scrutiny about what he says and does, and rightly so, and then other leaders /politicians are caught in actual lies almost daily, and they are given free passes... They don't believe in anything, go where the wind blows them, but at least their teeth are Hollywood perfect 👌🏽

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 07/02/2026 20:58

All Green politicians and supporters are buffoons. How could anybody vote for a party and a movement so far removed from reality?

EmeraldRoulette · 07/02/2026 21:00

@LemonSqueezy0 "OK. So if I accept that he admitted it, and apologised. Is that not the end of it"

well, I didn't mention it because it's the least of my worries about him or the party.

but one reason it gets mentioned a lot is not just how bonkers it is. It's because there isn't any solid work history to look at with him. There isn't any experience and when you watch him being interviewed and he gets debt and deficit confused, it doesn't bode well.

promises like "protect the NHS" are easy to make, like giving 300 billion or whatever it was to the NHS during Brexit.

He has absolutely nothing to back up his policies. One of the reasons he hasn't done any harm - yet - is because he's not actually in an official post. We can look at current politicians and say "they did this thing and I don't like it" but he is a blank slate, which is possibly one reason why he was chosen.

there is no doubt about who attacked the police woman with a sledgehammer - and he was very pleased that that person got off. I would be terrified if he got near power.

To be honest, it really scares me that they have been advancing in the polls. I think that's a sure sign that we're going to see the kind of madness you see in America.

I really hope he does as many interviews as possible with journalist who will let him speak. But New York has elected a communist so....

I might have to lie down! - this is all so worrying. I'm only sitting here talking about it because I can't engage my brain to do anything constructive.

But it looks like if we can talk one person out of voting this way... that will be a bonus.

This is the first time in my life I've ever felt the need to talk anyone out of voting a particular way!

Theonlywayicanloveyou · 07/02/2026 21:00

Everything everyone has said but also classic left wing bro. Lots of technocratic answers on the economy and green agenda but fuck all convincing on the lives of women and girls. And he believes he can use hypnosis to grow tits.

ohfook · 07/02/2026 21:01

I disagree with him on too many things so I don’t think I’ll be voting Green, although I also don’t think I’ll be voting Labour either for the first time ever so I’m not sure where that leaves me. But I do like him even if I found the running and the shit videos a bit cringe. He’s good in interviews, seems to be quite reflective and is calling out the inequalities in the system that we have and he wants to sort out underfunding in the nhs. I like that he’s very clear on what he thinks and believes in and he doesn’t skate around questions.

Lambington · 07/02/2026 21:03

Better him than Nigel Farage - a man who appears in the Epstein files several (41) times.

Lovelyview · 07/02/2026 21:06

Correct OP he's a continuation of the appalling standard of politicians we've had in recent years. An utter lightweight buffoon. The politician he most reminds me of is Boris Johnson. Which is somewhat worrying given the ridiculous fact that BJ became prime minister.

FlappyThing · 07/02/2026 21:11

Sorry but it is just absolutely wrong to say the boob hypnosis story is a smear. He did it, he participated fully and had his “Harley street clinic” advertised at the end of the article - it is pure self serving grift and charlatan behaviour - exploiting women with low self esteem. He also can’t claim to have been particularly young - a man of 30.

Smart countries attract the wealthy and wealth creators
the NHS is a failed system. It doesn’t fit today’s world. We need a health care system that works. No other country replicated the NHS and there are reasons for this.
we need an effective rental market. Driving private landlords out of the market will not achieve this. It will lead to homelessness. A more mature and comprehensive approach to developing a workable rental market is needed.

These are not sensible policies. They are populist sound bites.

We need intelligent grown up politicians who can take a realistic look at the many problems our systems face and create workable solutions.

Meant this for @Gain

Fushia123 · 07/02/2026 21:17

He seems a good, committed man to me. Greens deserve a chance. Party members around here are hard working and kind people, trying to do their little bit to improve things. Democracy means that everyone is free to choose. Calling people baboons etc for having a different opinion isn’t what voters deserve. Green Party volunteers are out in force over in Gorton and Denton as the by election gets nearer. They are all volunteers, out speaking to the constituents there and supporting the candidate who lives there. She is a plumber and councillor. In contrast, Reform have access to huge amounts of money to support their candidate who lives 200 miles away. Other parties do what they do…..
Doing a little bit, to make things a bit better is more positive than shutting everyone down and doing nothing practical.

EmeraldRoulette · 07/02/2026 21:19

Also, I noticed a couple of posters have mentioned protecting the NHS

I do wonder how much experience you have of the NHS

Sadly, mine over the years has been extensive - for my parents mostly

i'm at the point where I'm quite scared of the NHS so I'm squirreling away money for private treatment in case any of my issues flare up. Some of my personal experiences have been quite frightening so I don't want to go back. It wasn't something where I could advocate for things to be done differently either. I'm fully able to advocate for myself. Since I moved home, I haven't even met my GP.

The real problem is the amount of wasted money in the system - and some incredibly power hungry people driving it to get more and more money out of government/taxpayers every year, for things that do not benefit patients.

It needs absolutely drastic reform. At the moment, pretty much none of the money is focused on patient care. It's a massive gravy train.

The oft repeated thing for London is that there are far more staff in a senior leadership team meeting than there are in A&E at any given time. This is a really serious issue.

I don't know that any party is going to tackle it because it will involve a number of redundancies. If the Greens are prepared to do that, great. But I'll be surprised. I presume the Tories didn't do it because they felt like they'd be blamed forever. Labour won't do it.

is anyone going to do it?

this country desperately needs organisation and efficiency. I can't see anyone offering it. But the least likely to do that would be Greens.
