Yes, we don’t know the full story, but so many things being said about the dance story being untrue-they had already had their dance, she’d also danced with her father, Vb was reportedly called onto the stage by her friend, Marc A and was shy to do so. She comes across as a very awkward, sad person, David seems to dislike her and speak down to her. I can imagine she must be devastated and so humiliated by this. No matter the issues, Brooklyn shouldn’t have issued the problems publicly.
I know a lot about issues with Mil’s but my instinct tells me that this could be her and perhaps she has been difficult from the start. She doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice person at all, even before all this and it’s been said there may have been similar situations in the past with an ex of hers.
In comparison, I’ve never seen anyone say a bad word about Vb, the opposite in fact, she seems to have a great relationship with all her other children and the partners, plus a good relationship with Db’s family
She just must feel so devastated and humiliated, your first born that you held in your arms as a baby.

All so sad

If Marc Anthony called her onto the stage against her wishes, she could have said “Oh no, the first dance should be between the newlyweds” rather than humping her son in front of hundreds of people.

@Nevermind17

were you there?

Those photos were awful, and the only reason he felt empowered to produce a book full of them is because he’s Brooklyn Beckham.

Any other child would be told to have a stern word with themselves, and either get some training or put the camera down and get a real job.

Would they? Every struggling local artistic community suggests otherwise 🤣

He just got more reach thanks to the brand. Then absolutely slaughtered for it.

TanquerayTickles · 20/01/2026 13:14

There were photos of them in Vogue having their first dance with another singer earlier in the evening, the Marc Anthony gaffe happened at 11pm.

The 11th hour dress was a custom made, couture, Valentino gown, she had been flying in and out of Rome (?) for fittings for a year.

I suspect The Beckham's can probably be a bit difficult sometimes, as can many high profile people, so somewhere in the middle of all this probably lies the truth, but Team BB lying about things that are easily disproven makes people not want to believe any of it

It's interesting that these stories that have been leaked over the last year have been 'confirmed' by BB, I take from that that it has been his team leaking the stories the whole time.

I also don't believe he wrote any of those posts. The inappropriate dancing comment was a killer blow anyone would struggle to come back from, and I don't believe it was written by a man.

Who gives a damn about these nepo babes, their narcissistic pheasant shooting parents, their mother who’s a crap singer, their philandering father, their other talentless siblings, their nonentity of an American wife and her equally nonentity of a family?
As for that post…I doubt the man child even knows the meaning of narcissistic let alone spell it.
i suppose I must give a little bit of a damn myself as I’ve read a bit about it.
But why oh why are Radio 4 reporting on this shit show?
p.s…..anyone got a clip of that first dance 🤣🤣

I'm with you, this video must be released 😂

LochSunart · 20/01/2026 12:34

What I'm seriously suggesting is that he finds a career like the rest of the world. Like I was a teacher: I didn't love every minute of it, but it gave me fulfilment and made me a better person, because I had to work hard and work with other people who weren't all kissing my arse.

Do you remember a programme called "Three Of A Kind"? Lenny Henry, Tracey Ullman and someone else. Well, I met the "someone else" and spent a bit of time with him - his stage name was David Copperfield (not the magician), real name Stan Boardman I think. His brush with fame, and subsequent lack of success, had obviously affected him - but he had found some sort of fulfilment as a carpenter. There are plenty of celebrities around who have craved fame all their lives, then realise it doesn't bring fulfilment. As for money: the best thing is to have enough money so that money isn't an issue.

Ginger Rogers said, "The only way to enjoy anything in this life is to earn it first." Ain't that the truth!

Jamie Oliver & Gordon Ramsey are both pretty well known & have a good amount in their bank. Whilst there is some flirting with social media their grown up children have mostly taken the start at the bottom - one is a nurse, one a royal marine & another a police officer so it is possible

GoodBones85 · 20/01/2026 13:15

JontyGentooey · 20/01/2026 11:48

Absolutely nobody forced the Beckhams to parade their children in front of the press from the moment they were born, selling pictures of them to OK magazine and talking in great personal detail about them during all those media interviews. Nobody asked those kids if that was ok.

Brooklyn has had a shit deal, he can't try and do anything with his life without people calling him a nepo baby or laughing at how rubbish he is, like with his photography or cooking and all the rest of it.

Sounds like he finally told V&D he didn't want to be part of Brand Beckham anymore, they were furious and he finally decided to kick back. All a bit sad really but the only bit we know for sure is 100% true is that they should have given him a basic level of privacy in his childhood. They didn't.

YABU.

This. 💯

If that actually happened, I'd only have dance within a 10 mile radius of my son and he'd find it SOOOO embarrassing 🙄

I expect the whole thing is 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. I don't have much patience for anyone who posts family business on Instagram tbh.

Love the drama though 😂🤣

Victoria's obsessed with appearances and wealth, so it must have been hard for her when Brooklyn's wife came along - younger, taller, prettier and richer.

I would expect she’d love that, especially as many say she loves things to be about image?
There don’t seem to be any issues with any of the other boys partners…

After all these years and levels of fame she still seems so self conscious & self aware. I don’t understand why she does it to herself tbh.

Yes, I find it intriguing.

I did watch her NF series as I just can't get the measure of her. People say she has a great sense of humour, very witty etc... my god I couldn't see it in that series. She came across as brittle, boring, up her own arse, and a bit fragile.

I thought she would have a personality and character. Didn't see that one little bit.
It was all about the big fashion launch in Paris or wherever, and it was raining and she just looked soooo miserable.

OP has made up her mind so what difference does it make what the rest of us think? For my part I believe Brooklyn. And VB is a very sad woman who has been famous for so long, on relatively little talent, that she can’t see straight.

This. Basically anything that paints VB in a bad light is definitely untrue but OP "knows" that Nicola is a complete bitch. And we are all aware of their family tree. Stating repetitively that Victoria is "his own mother" doesn't add anything and is just manipulative.

Personally I don't think Brooklyn is perfect by a long chalk but I do have a lot more sympathy for him than I did yesterday. The people who were meant to protect him instead have given him a lifetime of anxiety just for cold hard cash.

They don’t have NP’s agency so it pays to stay on board with brand Beckham.

Mercurial123 · 20/01/2026 13:17

YABVU she's a stranger and you know nothing about the family dynamics.

She comes across as very controlling and anyone who calls their family a brand is a bit of a twat.

Apparently she agreed to it (in part ) to generate publicity to help sell the business.

I don't feel sorry for her in the least. The woman's a harpy and she's getting her comeuppance. Save your sympathy for those who deserve it. I am sorry for Brooklyn and the others having parents like those. Did you see how Harper was dressed for the Ramsay wedding!? Those people have no moral compass.

Dressed in a long satin dress? My 15yo just went to a ball and her and all of her friends and every other 15 year old there wore the same thing. The dress code for a fancy wedding would be similar.

And she & David trademarked Brooklyn's name when he was born. I'd forgotten about that until a PP mentioned it on a different thread. Like really? That's one of your first thoughts to do after you've just had your first baby? ££££.

bathsmat · 20/01/2026 13:20

@simpsonthecat She always “on” which must be exhausting & it’s in contrast to David who is pretty relaxed around cameras. They have so much money now why do it to yourself.

I remember their first red carpet appearance after the RL affair & I felt really sorry for VB, she was so anxious & twitchy.

I felt the same. She came across as driven but also very brittle and very self-obsessed. The whole show was a bit boring tbh but my main take was that David doesn't really like Victoria. He was very acerbic towards her.

Imagine being a teenager and everyone knowing your name comes from the place your parents shagged and conceived you.

Thank goodness my parents thought twice about naming me Great Yarmouth 🤣 although it is a joke between me and H!

Yes, at times I have had sympathy for her. But she is sooo uptight all the time and that shows with eating the same steamed fish for 30 years and trying to control her appearance in such a ridiculous way. No smile (she hates her smile), pouty lips, stick thin, either satin dress or oversized too long trousers...perfection to herself but to show a bit of a fun side would do her image the world of good.

I don't understand why and what Brooklyn was talking about that they wanted it signed over, did they mean he couldn't use it if he wanted a business in his name or something ?

She wouldn't be the first woman to stay with a philanderer because she didn't want to face whatever the consequences of divorce would be for her. True, she doesn't have to worry about money, but there are plenty of financially secure women who don't leave cheating husbands. Ultimately she had a choice and this was preferable.
