Yes, we don’t know the full story, but so many things being said about the dance story being untrue-they had already had their dance, she’d also danced with her father, Vb was reportedly called onto the stage by her friend, Marc A and was shy to do so. She comes across as a very awkward, sad person, David seems to dislike her and speak down to her. I can imagine she must be devastated and so humiliated by this. No matter the issues, Brooklyn shouldn’t have issued the problems publicly.
I know a lot about issues with Mil’s but my instinct tells me that this could be her and perhaps she has been difficult from the start. She doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice person at all, even before all this and it’s been said there may have been similar situations in the past with an ex of hers.
In comparison, I’ve never seen anyone say a bad word about Vb, the opposite in fact, she seems to have a great relationship with all her other children and the partners, plus a good relationship with Db’s family
She just must feel so devastated and humiliated, your first born that you held in your arms as a baby.

All so sad

Also, @AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta , I think we discussed this before - Noel Clarke is bankrupt - that’s one downfall that’s well deserved

Yes we've definitely mentioned Noel Clark and his well deserved fall from grace. It would be nice if DB could follow, not with bankruptcy per se but just come down a peg or two and lose that bloody smugness.

Also Susannah Constantine is one half of Trinny and Susannah. They used to present some brutal shoes about clothes back in the day but IIRC she has a long established career in the fashion industry. I just wonder if this is where her anti VB vibe comes from.

Agree, it is subjective but I dislike the slip dresses too, and especially hate now she puts them on Harper. It is okay for NP to have her own taste. It very much sounds like if you have your own mind than in VB's eyes it is a snub.

The slip dresses on Harper are just beyond inappropriate.

If someone is insecure but is also narcissistic, then everything becomes personal, every difference of opinion becomes a snub or a slight.

I didn’t see the tv show @Frannieisnthappy but that isn’t funny at all. Especially if as rumoured they had medical input to have Harper. I know he’s not brightest but he must realise another baby at 50 isn’t on cards. His peer Steven Gerrard is already a grandad. Although perhaps he had Tana Ramsey in mind having assistance to have a very late in life baby.

Previous girlfriends probably did toe party line and were happy to attend all family events and be papped on holiday as a trade for the opportunity and publicity. Now he’s with someone who isn’t wowed by a week in the Caribbean on a yacht. If no one has said no to them it must have been a shock to v & d. So 50th birthday must have been a real blow with them just assuming he’d come and Brooklyn saying no we don’t want to be part of the public celebrations.

Good point on not being wowed. It’s like being offered a chalet at Bognor in Butlins or maybe, more generously, Centre Parcs. :) You might slum it for a bit with the plebs but come on Beckhams! Lol

An old boss once offered tickets for our parents to see a West End show (!) Intent was to prise them out of suburban hovels & inject a bit of culture you know! She was very patronising & didn’t read room. Not everyone said yes :)

@GrethaGreen

if I liked the eyeliners or whatever from her brand (which tbf I have heard are excellent) I wouldn’t give a shit about the Instagram posts etc and would just keep buying them.

I fell for the VB eyeliner adverts, I bought 2, biggest waste of money ever, no better than cheaper versions.

I’ve read her very good auto bio. She comes across as decent & likeable. I’d be interested to know if her ‘team Brooklyn’ stance is knee jerk or from an informed position?

Lemonyyy · 21/01/2026 14:36

You have no idea what her relationship with her kids or her family is like, only what she shows to the world. I can fully believe Brooklyn has had a crap time of it. I hope he means it when he says he will seek privacy for his future kids.

There were loads of rumours before Harper was born that VB wasn't really pregnant and they were using a surrogate, because of how thin Victoria was pre pregnancy and that she never struggled to get her figure back very quickly afterwards.

I doubt that it was true and obviously these days that rumour has hit everyone from Meghan to Beyonce. But equally with all their money and arrogance I wouldn't put it past them to buy a child if that was what they wanted and Victoria thought that would be what it'd take to keep him.

Wasn't there a TV clip of Beyonce's bump denting in when she sat down? I may be remembering wrong. It is all hearsay, and must be horrendous to have people tell you you're not carrying your baby. It is easier for celebrities to just be honest.

Yes, I like her too. WNTW has not aged at all well but actually she and Trinny did seem to care and like they wanted to give the contestants some confidence. She always comes across as someone with a sense of humour, which helps too.

Yes, I think that's what started that rumour off. I think it was in the early-ish days of Twitter/X so it gained a lot of momentum.

Stuff like that is another in a long line of reasons why you couldn't pay me to be frontline in the goldfish bowl of the public eye.

Hopingforaholiday · 21/01/2026 14:50

Susannah Constantine’s eldest son Joe is same as Brooklyn so I’d assume same schools/circles/birthday parties. She’s married to a businessman. Plus 2 other girls in their early twenties.
Just seen a nice pic of her with son a couple of years ago when he qualified as a naval officer.
Presumably she’s seen Brooklyn growing up and how involved or lack thereof his parents were.

Surrogacy is incredibly common & egg freezing, sex selection amongst a tiny but significant top 1% ‘actress’ celeb or UHNW group in USA. Perhaps not completely acceptable YET so a spurious ‘medical’ reason found in some cases or mental health an issue etc. A bit like a nose job cos you know, deviated septum.

For that reason I questioned one of Meghan’s pregnancies at first - hardly left field if she had used a surrogate. Maybe VB did - who knows. It’s not a biggie in some circles.

What if these are some of the in authentic behaviours BB alludes to

Maybe NPB will use a surrogate (?)

Hopingforaholiday · 21/01/2026 14:55

There were surrogacy rumours with Harper. I always just assumed sex selection. Her very low body weight would have made some type of intervention likely.
It’s a cruel quip to a menopausal wife even if no history of ivf etc.
If she’d quipped back no I’m looking forward to being a granny that would have been all over press pitting pressure on Nicola and Brooklyn who may or may not want children, Nicola may have fertility issues etc.

Agree - she could have quipped back about the swimmers in the over 50s…

But surely you might expect some push back from your adult children if you have put them on social media from day one and you've used them for your brand. It's a big thing. It's going on for years, not just a random f**k up.

I'm dreading my kids when they are older, my exh and I are separated, I've judgement coming my way no doubt. I have issues with my own parents.

But I think the Beckham's behaviour to their kids is constant and awful.

I do agree with you about the publicity.

I think even non-celebrity families are going to have push-back from all the "Here is Poppy having her first bath" and " Awww...Tommy blowing out his candles: born this day 3 years ago ... just so the whole world knows his DOB plus has a shot of his facial biometrics" type social media posts that are floating out there.

I post nothing of my dc, but then I guess no-one pays me to, and I am not building a Fab Fandamily Brand, so it's easier for me to feel disincentivised to do so.

I really think we might be moving to a less narcissistic age where ‘old school’ learning & culture may be prized. Our kids will be increasingly policing their kids phones & I think I am seeing more books about? Kids reaching for ‘Horrible Histories’ type books in a cafe yesterday! Fab.

Hopingforaholiday · 21/01/2026 15:22

Yes After 3 boys and access to treatment in usa it’s not a big leap to imagine they used sex selection. Steven Gerrard had a son after 3 older girls I always assumed they did too. I’d imagine very common in some circles.
If it was surrogacy and oldest kids were forced to lie and go along with it then I can see that would take its toll. Brooklyn would have been 11/12 ish, fully aware mum stuffing a fake bump up her top and fielding questions eg teacher saying oh I’m sorry your mum can’t come to prize giving due to her morning sickness and him thinking liar. She definitely laid very low which must have impacted him.

Hopingforaholiday · 21/01/2026 15:25

I used to matron (licensed chaperone) for my DD’s amateur dance school and there were very strict rules re performance hours, breaks, changing privately, schooling to protect children on stage or in films.
All the influencer children are outside this scrutiny. Some seem to home educate so children more available for content.

The other thread had pictures of a very drunk looking VB who appeared to have wet herself being led out of an establishment by a furious looking DB. As someone else said its always a bad idea to drink on an empty stomach, which in VB's case is always.

Ive always thought BB to be a vacuous fool, probably in part due to the ridicule he's received over his "photography" etc.

After reading his post and other online stuff about the Beckhams I am definitely team Brooklyn.

Team Brooklyn here too.

If so, the danger is B thinks she’s the only ‘inauthentic’ one who has done this or similar to this. There are plenty in the influencer world etc who go in for all sorts of pretence. VB seems to be the one that’s harshly targeted over Dad. I’d be exploring in therapy the ‘why’ of it all, what drives the behaviour & how can I learn from it (?)

Extremely left field as a surrogacy would legally not be in the line of succession, meaning that little Archie would not be a prince.

She was pregnant at W&K's wedding wasn't she?

I thought about sex selection but surrogacy never occurred to me!
