Yes, we don’t know the full story, but so many things being said about the dance story being untrue-they had already had their dance, she’d also danced with her father, Vb was reportedly called onto the stage by her friend, Marc A and was shy to do so. She comes across as a very awkward, sad person, David seems to dislike her and speak down to her. I can imagine she must be devastated and so humiliated by this. No matter the issues, Brooklyn shouldn’t have issued the problems publicly.
I know a lot about issues with Mil’s but my instinct tells me that this could be her and perhaps she has been difficult from the start. She doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice person at all, even before all this and it’s been said there may have been similar situations in the past with an ex of hers.
In comparison, I’ve never seen anyone say a bad word about Vb, the opposite in fact, she seems to have a great relationship with all her other children and the partners, plus a good relationship with Db’s family
She just must feel so devastated and humiliated, your first born that you held in your arms as a baby.

All so sad

You are saying you think Victoria Beckham is autistic ? You really are stretching and misdiagnosing a woman to fit your narrative.

Not at all, I was responding to a poster who said the same. Ive thought this for quite a long time and have seen it mentioned on here before too

it's battle of the brands ...between the families, always was and is about ego and nothing else. He's married his mother essentially!

I think what a PP said is true. Brooklyn decided he wanted out. He told V&D he did not want to be part of 'Brand Beckham' any more. Which would mean not turning up at the fashion shows, at the pic opportunities, the restaurants, all standing together in a line with Mum draped over him and all in tuxedos and such like.

That probably did not fit their plan and it kicked off from there.

I agree. I also think they have PR firms planting stories about him and his wife and eventually he snapped. Just because V&D haven’t issued a statement doesn’t mean they haven’t been briefing behind the scenes. And it’s worse to plant stories than it is to present your side of the story clearly and without being underhand.

The OP says it’s appalling to make a statement about his mother but she and D have obviously made loads of statements about their own son. He’s younger, less experienced and more vulnerable. Shame on them. He’s kept quiet a long time and he’s entitled to have his own say.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this wasn’t a PR piece. I’m sure lots of them are started on here or are at least piggy backed on by PR firms to promote their agenda for their clients.

Plus lawyers are v useful for these celebrities. How else did Harvey Weinstein stay under the radar for so long.

Gloriia · 20/01/2026 15:27

The 'first' dance thing is weird, we all know ow it wasn't it's been reported in many places that they'd done all that. So if BB os varying his recollections about that what else is he making up.

I bet as the op says her 'inappropriate' and 'on him' dancing was just VB being awks dancing. How awful to humiliate her like this.

I feel bad for Rebecca loos too
And how they stired things up for her again when they did that documentary which was DB acting like a victim about all the stories about him

No focus on sorry he made a mistake
Just oh press are being mean to me

You feel sorry for her?! She worked closely with them, was almost friends with Vb, knew he was married & had kids and did that?
Yes HE is much more to blame as being the married one and I dislike him, but I also wouldn’t feel sorry for a woman doing that

@Stayinitstoocold , you are so determined to protest that BB has wronged his mum. Even when pp suggest that he could be telling the truth.. that maybe it is not all lies, you say yes BUT VB must be hurt, must be fuming, DB must be duming, Siblings must be fuming.

Well, BB is fuming too, obviously.
Why is VB's fuming more valid than BB's??
What BB has done is unforgivable... really?? How do you know? What if what he has said is true?

I do not know what happened. Unfortunately, i was not invited toneother of the weddings and I have not had the pleasure of ki-kiing with BB or VB. We do not know what happened.

Unless you are actually VB herself and know for a fact it is all definitely lies or you are VB trying to defend yourself on Mumsnet or you are on the Beckham payroll and are trying to "fix" VB's image.

How come you are so certain?

But where is he?

Estranged from his family & living off his FIL/wife?

Gloriia · 20/01/2026 15:38

You know what with Harry and now Brooklyn it does show a life of riches and never been told no does not build resilience and the ability to cope with and manage one's emotions.

VB is the most obvious archetypal Boy Mum ever. I can believe all of what Brooklyn has said.

I’m a Boy Mum. I don’t make everything about me in a jealous rage

Especially as Linkedln is used to stalk people who have not disclosed their job description.
We live in such a fake society.
The amount of people who have plastic surgery, braces and other tweaks or improvements that they would never have done without LinkedIn.

Off topic, but why would Linkedin make people have surgery etc?

He’s part of first wave of celebrity offspring who have come through social media age.
Over the years he’ll have been at school with other celebrity offspring and family friends like Ramseys.
He must look at them now they are in their 20s and wonder why he gets level of scrutiny he does and it’s down to differences in exposure to social media and press as a child. Decisions his parents made.
Anais Gallagher (oasis) mentioned going to school with him. She clearly has a comfortable life, nice flat, got a degree, does bit of modelling and photography but I imagine day to day can just live life under radar and doesn’t get berated for her talent or lack of.

lifeonmars100 · 20/01/2026 15:46

No sympathy from me. The Beckham's are worth many millions and doubtless have more than one lovely home. They could lead a life of almost total anonymity in a level of luxury that most of us can only dream of yet they continue to court the spotlight and use their children to do so. They could have a lovely and private life but have instead chosen to do anything they can to stay in the media and now it has all gone horribly wrong

Agree. Also the '11th hour' notice VB gave that she couldn't design NPs dress. It has been spoken about before that they had a Valentino dress that took a year to design. I wouldn't call that 11th hour notice.

Ialwaysthoughtitwasadojo · 20/01/2026 15:52

Thing is, surely there were hundreds of people at the wedding? Surely one of them can corroborate what Brooklyn or conversely Victoria is saying? There's only one truth regarding the dance, and there are plenty of people of this Earth who know what really happened.

Aprilmaymum · 20/01/2026 15:52

As a mum I do feel sorry for her. Yes they are a brand but that brand has paid for so much for that child who I doubt would have amounted to much had he not been born in the family. Of course he has a right to his own life with his family. But to slag them off on social media is a huge kick in the teeth to his parents the famous saying don’t air your washing springs to mind. Have your space. Move on but don’t write about it Harry ops sorry I mean Brooklyn

Pistachiocake · 20/01/2026 15:52

The Mirror says there's obvious lies from the young couple, like them claiming she left them scrambling to find a dress at the 11th hour, though apparently the bride went for was her first choice and planned it a year in advance...
Remember to judge a man by how he treats his mother! An old lady told me that was the only advice you really need. I'd have dumped my man if he disrespected his mum!
Most of us on here are mums, or considering becoming a mum, so it could be us one day (the wedding dress designing aside!). My kids are little but I would be devastated if they grew up to be like this. And even the best parents sometimes have ungrateful, entitled kids.

Im not on linkedin but Im guessing its like a dating site for work so those with jobs in industries where the 'look' is important, might be tempted to do that so that your profile picture just looks better and more attractive. People on threads about work in high profile jobs always go on about needing to 'look professional' and often they mean no bad teeth or not looking overweight or slouchy.

Victoria Beckham's mascara is amazing though - the one she sells.

oh I absolutely adore the eye shadow stick - you can smudge it but once set, it doesn't fade or move - not cheap but well worth it

Yes you would think the terrible hardship of being in this supposed 'brand' family may have been made easier by all the cars, the holidays, the luxury.

I bet everyone thinks their parents are 'controlling' they have to be to a degree it's their job

All the people reading this dramalama who had abusive childhoods, alcoholic parents, poverty etc etc will think his lies about first dances and silly wedding dresses are an absolute joke.
