Yes, we don’t know the full story, but so many things being said about the dance story being untrue-they had already had their dance, she’d also danced with her father, Vb was reportedly called onto the stage by her friend, Marc A and was shy to do so. She comes across as a very awkward, sad person, David seems to dislike her and speak down to her. I can imagine she must be devastated and so humiliated by this. No matter the issues, Brooklyn shouldn’t have issued the problems publicly.
I know a lot about issues with Mil’s but my instinct tells me that this could be her and perhaps she has been difficult from the start. She doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice person at all, even before all this and it’s been said there may have been similar situations in the past with an ex of hers.
In comparison, I’ve never seen anyone say a bad word about Vb, the opposite in fact, she seems to have a great relationship with all her other children and the partners, plus a good relationship with Db’s family
She just must feel so devastated and humiliated, your first born that you held in your arms as a baby.

All so sad

But there are reports of it not being the first dance, that they’d already had a dance and she’d danced with her dad? The way he’s described it is his opinion (or more likely hers) she could have been cuddling her son on his wedding day, all perfectly normal things. It’s truly horrible for a son to say that to the public about his own mother.
It’s unforgivable

I think the way she has brought him up is unforgivable....like a commodity. No wonder he wants out

I remember them Being asked in all seriousness whether they were planning to sign Brooklyn to Manchester United when he was just a couple of months old and Victoria very clearly stating he is a baby leave him alone. He’ll do his own thing. He might be a footballer. He might not.
And that was before the Ali G piss take comment.
It seems they started off with the right idea and somehow it’s gone off track

At the end of the day they were bog standard people catapulted in to extreme exposure, very young, working class, although yes her family had a bit more money but these werent people brought up in the showbiz industry with lots of links and support.

They will have had agents and advisors and probably just went with stuff.

Suggested to trademark a child's name 'oh that seems a good idea', so they went with it

I dont know I just think people really love to be spiteful, MH hates family relationships anyway so these threads will always go one way

Just interesting to compare with threads about Caroline Flack, where its proposed to be kind and not being kind killed her, even though she viciously attacked someone.

Hopingforaholiday · 20/01/2026 13:41

The trademark thing is interesting. I can’t recall what they did exactly but yes potentially mum and dad owning rights to your name. Celeb restaurants popular in USA eg Gordon Ramsey has his name on fast food fish and chips, guy fieri chicken guy. If Brooklyn was wanting to do a chain called food by Brooklyn Beckham he could potentially not be able to do that. Not even owning your name must be mind blowing.

NP had apparently previously stated in an interview that her wedding dress was 12 months in the making.
Hardly being ditched at the 11th hour.

I think there was supposed to be a VB dress too. I know it sounds flippant but they don't live in the ordinary world so I think.the 2 dresses would have been important to them and their wedding.

Absolutely nobody forced the Beckhams to parade their children in front of the press from the moment they were born, selling pictures of them to OK magazine and talking in great personal detail about them during all those media interviews. Nobody asked those kids if that was ok.

Brooklyn has had a shit deal, he can't try and do anything with his life without people calling him a nepo baby or laughing at how rubbish he is, like with his photography or cooking and all the rest of it.

Sounds like he finally told V&D he didn't want to be part of Brand Beckham anymore, they were furious and he finally decided to kick back. All a bit sad really but the only bit we know for sure is 100% true is that they should have given him a basic level of privacy in his childhood. They didn't.

YABU.

My 9 year old takes better photos that what was displayed at an actually gallery!! He names his sauce after his dad’s squad number, his cooking videos are not skill they are basic meals!! He is famous because he’s a Beckham. His married to her because he’s a Beckham, he is a nepo baby and Nicola was sued by 3 wedding planners. I am inclined to believe that the Brooklyn statement is very over exggereated. All it’s done is prove it was him/his side leaking stories to the press

If so not the principal dress as BB knew & included to show VB in worst light. There will likely have been more than 2 dresses too.

Ive long thought she is autistic, she has restrictive eating, very severe and rigid, quite repetitive life as you say very self conscious and shy.

Yes I think she may be autistic too

Ah yes i get you now, that is mad isn't it? He has double barrelled so he can use it however he likes.

simpsonthecat · 20/01/2026 13:44

I think what a PP said is true. Brooklyn decided he wanted out. He told V&D he did not want to be part of 'Brand Beckham' any more. Which would mean not turning up at the fashion shows, at the pic opportunities, the restaurants, all standing together in a line with Mum draped over him and all in tuxedos and such like.

That probably did not fit their plan and it kicked off from there.

I would have thought it expires on majority for the parents though.

Codyrhodesisaheel · 20/01/2026 13:47

AllIdoistidyup · 20/01/2026 12:20

He mentions this in his statement - that they tried to bribe him into signing away the rights to his name. I can only assume this means his surname, so they don't want for example him and Nicola to start a chain of restaurants called "Beckham's".

i assumed it was a legal aspect as part of her clothing brand. Her VB brand of make up and fashion could have huge issues if Nicola decided to launch her own clothing range/beauty brand. I suspect it was to protect her business IP, which would make sense.

Or it could have been about securing a pre-nup (hence the need to sign before the day).

The wedding dance thing seems odd, and a fuck up from the wedding planners. Why is VB getting the blame for something Marc Anthony said? Considering they went through three wedding planners and ended up in a lawsuit, I know who I would believe here....The texts from Nicola and her mother were awful.

And as for the dress - well, the story has changed so many times. Nicola herself said it took a year of flying back and forward to Italy to the Valentino showroom, so it was hardly scrambling for a dress was it? There's been no comment from VB on this, other than Nicola saying "her atelier couldn;t make it" We don't know why they couldnt' do it. For all we know, Nicola kept changing her mind on what was needed.

The point is, there's two sides to every story here.

Quite frankly the only person who can prove what happened is the bloody videographer who somewhere right now has that bloody dance on videotape!

You are saying you think Victoria Beckham is autistic ? You really are stretching and misdiagnosing a woman to fit your narrative.

Bloozie · 20/01/2026 13:48

Brooklyn Beckham is ridiculous. His wife seems to have managed to alienate many, many people.

Victoria & David Beckham are also ridiculous. Both vain and publicity-hungry. Both controlling. No warmth to either of them.

I'm filing this whole thing under 'ridiculous people nonsense'. I don't feel sorry for any of them.

Exactly. Already interviews and articles coming to light disputing these statements. Strange he didn't think about it. Hes jumped to a maga zionist billionaires family that's worse ?

Half the statement reads like its been written by a woman. Some of it doesn't need to be paraded on social media and it won't be taken back.

Amazing people think they have 3 kids in some sort of cult !!! Why do none of his siblings speak to him? All brainwashed ? Extended family? Huge ramifications of actually a rather nasty bitter statements

Bloozie · 20/01/2026 13:48

Victoria Beckham's mascara is amazing though - the one she sells.

Not sure, not a trademark/patent lawyer. Hopefully someone can shed some light on that and what Brooklyn refers to in his statement re signing away rights.

Thundertoast · 20/01/2026 13:50

Im really confused at posters saying 'whose saying everything he has said is true' in a poster siding with the Beckhams, because it sort of implies to me that if V&D came out and refused each of the claims then people would go 'hah, see! Thats what REALLY happened'
It smacks of the attitude you see a lot when you get discussion on parents behaving badly, which is posters commenting to defend the parents saying they probably did their best, noone is perfect, how awful is OP to keep them at arms length or go NC, that they have probably misunderstood things, they are ungrateful etc. Just the default 'you must be in the wrong, parents always have their children's best interests at heart so must have just been misguided' attitude that is totally wilfully naive as to the reality of human beings which is that some people are selfish, dont put any effort into parenting beyond feeding their kids, have shoddy priorities, are abusive even though they know better etc...

RollOnSpring26 · 20/01/2026 13:50

Once dave cheated on her she should have walked away then, she could have built a good life for herself now she's like a doormat

BatchCookBabe · 20/01/2026 13:52

I don't dislike Vicky OR Dave, but I can't bring myself to muster up a single grain of sympathy or empathy for these over privileged, overpaid, rich celebrities: The Beckhams.

I will save my sympathy and empathy for those who deserve it.

It makes sense for parents that famous to buy the trademark for their kids names in case anyone else does it first. But they should then let the child have it!

Do you mean to stop somebody opening a kids clothing brand called Brooklyn Beckham ?

TeaRoseTallulah · 20/01/2026 13:55

I can't remember if the comment about Harper's dress being inappropriate was on this thread or the other ( now full) one but it looks perfect for a dressy wedding. What is she supposed to wear, a Little House on the Prairie smock?

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2026 13:55

It’s weird its all about V and
nothing said about D

they are both his parents

wedding dance - enough people there who must have seen what happened

I can’t imagine any other woman doing the first dance who isn’t the bride

if both V&D and her parents weren’t on the top table then that’s fair and nice to add the granny’s as on their own

the Dress. Again you would work every hour under the sun to make sure was ready

brand beckham. What does that mean anyway ?
