Traitors, who do you root for?

RetainersinSpainnotontheplane · 18/01/2026 21:43

I root for the faithfuls even if I do prefer the personality of some of the traitors.

One of my kids roots for the traitors and thinks it’s deeply weird I don’t.

So just to see if I’m actually weird…

YABU = Traitors all the way
YANBU = Go Faithfuls

I hope Jade is not in the final. She has done nothing. No strategy, no alliances, no Traitor hunting.
I don't want ppl to be in the final.because of tragic back stories.

Odditea · 19/01/2026 08:56

Unpopular opinion but I was rooting for Harriet. I agree the outburst was very strange and I don’t understand where all the anger came from (and what at?). Maybe missing some backstory? It’s just a game at the end of the day.

Either way she’s such a formidable personality and was so spot on with Hugo and Rachel though that I had to admire her despite the outburst.

Harriet's outburst reminded me of people who flip when they have had too much to drink. Really unnecessary, over the top and scary. I can't be around people like this who have a volatile temper like she displayed.

I can’t say because it totally depends on the individuals.

In the first season I really loved Wilf and willed him to win for example. Second series I didn’t mind Harry but felt what he did to Mollie was brutal. Last year I absolutely loved Alexander so wanted him to win.

This year I think they’re all kind of annoying, which I know is mean but none of them have stood out to me at all. Maybe at a push Jade. It feels a bit stilted and scripted this year, I think because they’ve all rewatched previous seasons repeatedly so know what to expect. The ‘secret traitor’ thing was really pointless and silly too. I think that might have worked better had they remained a secret throughout.

I think most have been this way in truth. They have the lovely Faraaz who just sits in the corner grinning like the Cheshire Cat. They have had a few white men of a certain age who have barely said or done anything and all just sort of blended into one. Ellie was boring as fuck and silent. Roxy just shouts every so often but offers nothing of any substance. I can’t tell if Rachel is a good traitor or the others are just terrible faithfuls. Having said that, they got Hugo out rapidly and fished Fiona out soon after.

I agree. The ones remaining are terrible. I guess we shalll see if being dim is a strategy.

PersephonePistol · 19/01/2026 09:50

It’s not just about traitor hunting, and that’s what a lot of faithfuls don’t quite get. It’s about staying “alive” and trying to manipulate who is in the final with you (or at the very least having the measure of them).

The minute a real game player like Rachel turns up she pretty much can walk it to the final, barring accidents, because most of the others are clueless.

The only faithful who posed any kind of threat was Harriet.

TakeALookAtTheseSwatches · 19/01/2026 09:53

Again it's a personality thing for me, I really like Stephen this year so I'm rooting for him. I also wouldn't mind if James won.

Really wanted Joe and Nick to win in the celeb version.

EstoyRobandoSuCasa · 19/01/2026 09:53

I root for the faithful because the odds are stacked against them. Also, I liked Rachel to start with, but have really gone off her - she's so cold!

EleanorReally · 19/01/2026 10:02

Rachel always seems to find someone to smile at during the round table, she is sneaky and has a huge fan base in the castle

LemonyCurd · 19/01/2026 10:05

Rachel is playing the best social game, which is the thing I think Harriet (and to a certain degree, Fiona) completely ignored in favour of the game logistics. Ultimately, you’re not going to win unless you have made yourself relatively popular but are unthreatening to the others.

However, I don’t think Rachel has any intention of sharing the prize with Stephen and intends to throw him under the bus at the end. I hope that he’s playing a blinder and has had enough sense to be low key and agreeable so far but will also vote her out at the end - and win.

I'm actually not sure Rachel will throw him under the bus unless she thinks Stephen is showing signs he might. Which is possible to be honest. If it ends up with 2 of them plus two faithful and he knows the ones left will back him he might just do it.

I’m wondering about all the secret relationships…..

Does anyone think there will be other connections between people?

For eg will Matt be Stephen’s boyfriend? Or will Jessie be Harriet’s niece?
Will Faraaaz be Maz’s son? Will Jack be Adam’s brother?

CatsSleepFatandWalkThin · 19/01/2026 14:44

This series, I really want Rachel and Stephen to win. They’ve done all the hard work and totally deserve it.

I think they’ve confirmed there are no other pairs in the show. There’s no way Jessie and Harriet are related.

Jade is my favourite I want her to win, but also love Stephen.

Yes, I like Jade.

The traitors work harder. Very often the remaining faithful get to end because they are not a threat and the worst ones. If a traitor wins its usually cos they are good. I mean Leanne winning last year.... annoying

teawamutu · 19/01/2026 15:30

Rachel is magnificent, Traitors for the win all the way.

Roxy is not only an aggy idiot but also a sanctimonious hypocrite - keeps harping on at James for not telling the truth but who's your mum again, love?

I can imagine her using the phrase 'calling out' with relish rather than feeling like a dick.

InnerAnger · 19/01/2026 15:33

I still can’t get over how Reece literally saw Stephen and Rachel plotting in front of the family tree that night, and did nothing!

HorrorAndHaagenDazs · 19/01/2026 15:35

Rooting for the traitors.

Bustedchair · 19/01/2026 15:45

Jade

BirdytheHero · 19/01/2026 15:54

I feel with Jade we haven't been shown many of the diary room interviews so haven't been given much sense of her thinking (beyond being quite reasonably fed up at being targeted by useless Amanda). Whereas other players are never out of the diary room. (Is it called the diary room?)

I'd like Jade, Rachel and Stephen to win- obviously impossible. I liked Adam too.

BirdytheHero · 19/01/2026 15:55

InnerAnger · 19/01/2026 15:58

Why have we seen so little of Jack? My daughter fancies him and needs him to have more screen time.
