There’s no need to be personal. The fact is, if the officers were enforcing the law, and she refused to abide by it, then tragically there have to be consequences. Whether she is a woman or a mother of 3, is irrelevant.

They weren't enforcing the law in relation to Ms Good, and she didn't refuse to abide by it. I take it therefore that you agree that the person who has to bear the consequences is the murdering ICE officer.

We can’t. We decided to spend all our money on welfare and the NHS, and as such we have not invested in our military, infrastructure, business or the other essentials needed to function independently without relying on the States.

The resulting embarrassing dependency and sycophancy is a problem entirely of our own making.

Some of us did say 🤷‍♀️

Actually some of us did say when the British government cut the military at the same time as cutting welfare spending, in order to also cut taxes.

But yes, the embarrassing dependency is of our own making.

If an armed officer say at Heathrow told you to get out of your vehicle would you honestly ignore them? I pull over on rare occassions police have directed me to in UK I cannot imagine not doing so. If I had armed officers in front of me I am pretty certain I would do exactly as they asked. Why are so many pretending it is ok just to ignore the police🤔

Beacuse they were not the police

  1. ICE are not the police.
  2. She was being given conflicting directions from ICE
  3. I'd rather discuss why some people believe death is an appropriate punishment for ignoring requests from law enforcement. How far do we take this? Should we start shooting people for not paying court fines?

Many many countries have different rules to UK. When travelling I am acutely aware of this, I think many on this thread are applying British rules to USA. Actions have consequences. It is easy after the event to judge not so much in the actual situation.

She should not have used her vehicle as a weapon against law enforcement. Simple as following the law. Break the law and there are consequences.

She didn't.

Hth.

Renee Nicole Good was murdered. End of. That poor woman. What a fucking awful time to be alive in America. RIP Renee.

My post said ‘police officer’ - I object to your changing the contents of my post.

Please respond accordingly, thanks.

One would be equally outraged, naturally.

There is no way the people on these threads are regular posters. The things being said are an absolute disgrace @mumsnet and pretty much the last straw for me on this site, that was once a community and is now yet another polarised, edgelord-filled sewer. You need to sort it out.

I agree. It is going the way of X. Btw I don't think MNHQ will see your @. You need to email them or contact them via the report button.

You don't know?
So not watched the Videos, not listened to one guy telling her to leave but another telling her to get out of the car?

Lets all hope n pray you re never in this situation.

She was a not a terrorist, posed no threat, if they thought she had a bomb, they wouldn't be anywhere near her, she produced no weapon either.

You are, of course, correct. Here are the penalties for fleeing law enforcement in Minnesota.

Note it is not execution without a trial.

She was just an innocent passer by was she doing her weekly shop, collecting her kids from school? My arse she was! Look at the whole situation!! She was a professional agitator.

They are still clearly armed!!!!

And that is the problem.

Why do immigration officers need as many guns as an army infantry squad? The only thing they are missing is the squad machine gun, or LSW.

ClafoutisSurprise · 08/01/2026 17:42

I don’t know if I’m more disturbed or depressed at how many posters (albeit a minority, thankfully) keep repeating that you must obey law enforcement and that this woman was at fault for not doing so.

Just comply with the nice officer and let him get on with his duties and then nobody needs to get shot in the face, eh?

WTAF is a “professional agitator”?

Someone standing up for their community in protest and enacting their first amendment rights is not a “professional agitator”.

And regardless she was following instructions being yelled at her by ICE. Officers were almost screaming at her to move her car. She did. She was shot as a result.

I dare say if she had followed the instruction of a different officer who was yelling at her to get out the car. She would have been shot also. People would then be saying she should have moved the car.

Land of the Free. What a joke, it has never been that for a lot of people. This latest, ugly outrage shows how out of control things are right now, in America.

Thats irrelevant, even if true, a protestor don't deserve to be killed for being a "Professional Agitator"

You obviously think she deserved to die.

& that is a very wrong pov but i suspect 'Agitator could be applied to a few on this thread... judging by the deletions.

The person who wrote that was shot by ICE as a professional agitator before they could complete the full text:

Land of the freeloader.

Caused a lot of confusion ever since. Especially in Dixie.
