These men aren't law enforcement protecting the citizenry (to protect and serve). They are armed thugs hiding their identities and abusing both citizens and noncitizens. I'm 74 and I don't recognize the country I was born in and where I have lived all my life. This is insane. Trump has to go.

It’s NYT readers but heartening those comments have so many recommend upticks @Parsleyandthyme Trump and his tech bro. supporters have actively encouraged a courser and more aggressive, less civil discourse in America.

You cannot obstruct federal agents performing law enforcement duties. You cannot hit ICE officers with your SUV. She was trying to get away you say (I have doubts)? With ICE agents around her car? There was always a chance she would hit them trying to flee the scene.

Now they are taking to the streets chanting to hang Kristi Noem and to kill ICE agents.

We already had a bunch of leftists try to attack and kill ICE agents before. There was a group that swarmed an ICE facility shooting at officers

And then there was that guy that shot at an ICE agent but ended up killing an illegal migrant instead. Shot himself when he realized what happened.

The truth is these people would have absolutely celebrated an ICE agent getting run over. They are literally in the streets screaming this fact.

Classic DARVO. We voted for Trump, we voted for Congress to pass funding for ICE. And a bunch of activists want to ignore these democratic processes and just downright attack and kill people they don’t agree with?

They need to just stay the fuck away from federal agents doing their job.

Apparently, she has been on this for hours. Anti Ice trained activist. Her wife gave some details that she herself asked her to attend this location and feel responsible now. I know protesting is legal but interfering the way she was putting her life in danger was not very wise. I know if I have three kids I would find other ways to protest.

You must be an American Citizen, being a Trump voter. You are posting on a British based international website, saying you are puzzled why people here are commenting on American news, WHILE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

What has that got to do with the lady who lost her life? It was the ICE officer who killed her for no reason other than she did not agree with them? She was no threat and didn't try to harm anyone, she tried to get away but he put himself in front of her car?

I am an expat. So I can tell you irl that British people are like this offline. Talking endlessly about another country. My in-laws (love them, mostly) are like this too. And they haven’t visited my country for over a decade at this point …

She actually did hit him with her car you know. It’s debatable whether or not she meant it, but someone invested enough to go block ICE vehicles after dropping her kid off at school? It’s very possible.

I worry about the US because I have family there. Brown family. Who could be shot or jailed by ICE tomorrow and framed as illegal immigrants.
But I guess they don't have the luxury of calling themselves 'expats'.

In any case, it was a US citizen that was shot dead. She did not need a visa. Not that undocumented migrants should be shot dead, of course.
