Centreparcs not giving loo roll

I’m sorry but I think after the amount you spend on CP it is a complete piss take they don’t give you loo roll. Luckily I had pocket tissues but what on Earth?? That level of stinginess has really put me off ever returning

Ha ha ha and the relevance of DH being a pilot? I would indeed expect a single roll of paper in a SC accommodation but the pilot bit made me laugh. Maybe pilots use more toilet roll perhaps 🤷‍♀️ my Director DH don’t seem to use more than normal and I would bring my own with me, picked up from Aldi on the way.

Actually I wouldn’t, because I’ve been to CP once and once was enough. Don’t your kids have school to go to tomorrow?

Elevdon

Weird. We've stayed at Elveden more than any other CP (most recently September). We've always had toilet roll supplied.🤷‍♀️

We are lucky that we get extremely cheap flights and accommodation so we go away A LOT more than our friends and family. A lot of the time we choose self catering so we have a lot of experience 🤷

The post where I shared dh is a pilot was in reply to someone who said they never get loo in self catering. I was sharing that has not been my experience (which is extensive due to DH’s job). Imo it was a relevant detail.

The loo roll situation seems to have been well covered on here.

Please can we now talk about flannels or facecloths?

DeftGoldHedgehog · 04/01/2026 17:59

The latest adverts are very nice but the bubble thing still perpetuates the myth that you are inside a glass dome. It's just an overpriced activities holiday in some sort of cabin which can be more cheaply replicated elsewhere. Particularly overseas, with better weather!

landslide51 · 04/01/2026 18:05

Self catering just means there are the facilities to cook your own meals, it has nothing to do with toilet roll.

I would expect anywhere I stayed that had a toilet to supply toilet roll, anything else is minging. Even campsites I've stayed at have had toilet roll.

I would never go to CP anyway as it's completely overpriced rubbish IMO but it's a even shitter than I imagined if they can't even remember to put toilet roll in your room.

QuizzlyBears · 04/01/2026 18:06

We were there a fortnight ago and had toilet paper in each bathroom.

Nah, my DH is a company director and works away all week, he has a ridiculous amount of IHG hotel points and air miles. I wouldn’t mention it. It’s absolutely not relevant.

You are quite right to think a loo roll should be provided, the rest is just yawn.

me sharing the fact I stay away in self catering accommodation a lot and never coming across no loo roll is highly relevant in the context I shared it.

You're the one who has now mentioned your director husband twice :/

But why I don't get it, pilots stay in hotels why is making you slum it in sc?

Op you were short on loo roll, you bought some. Problem solved. Move on and tell your tight dh to pay for better accommodation next time.

ohyesido · 04/01/2026 20:05

I think you have been stiffed, I stayed at the Breckland apartments last week and they supplied four loo rolls

We choose self catering as that’s our preference when we are away. As a vegetarian it’s just easier. I don’t see it as slumming it at all. I feel incredibly unwell if I eat out for extended periods of time.

We’ve been lots and always had a loo roll in each toilet. Maybe they’ve been extra busy and missed you/run out.

guest services have always been very helpful with any issues. But can see you’re sorted now.
