Centreparcs not giving loo roll

I’m sorry but I think after the amount you spend on CP it is a complete piss take they don’t give you loo roll. Luckily I had pocket tissues but what on Earth?? That level of stinginess has really put me off ever returning

That’s poor for the high prices, I stay in Airbnbs a lot all self catering and have never not had at least one toilet roll and usually some tea/coffee is also available.

Migraleveyellow · 04/01/2026 16:04

Stayed in umpteen self catering places in the UK. Sykes; national trust, English Heritage … Always had loo roll provided. The catering bit refers to food. I’d be pretty cross to get no loo roll, plus the owner is probably risking their drains as new arrivals would need to use whatever they had to hand…

Fizbosshoes · 04/01/2026 16:07

YANBU
Self catering can vary massively but we always self cater and I've only ever been to one place that didnt supply toilet roll.
And CP is not exactly a budget option, so id expect at least one roll per bathroom

FurForksSake · 04/01/2026 16:07

So do we now have loo roll trolls? Is it poo troll adjacent?

Always get it at CP.

I messaged a group chat I’m on and my friends said the loo roll thing is well known.

Seems strange you AND your friends would both be missed by housekeeping 🤨

I was there in December and had a supply in each bathroom. Same as every other stay as It’s provided as standard. Even states this on their website.

Lots of loo roll threads today… just saying!

swapsicles · 04/01/2026 16:08

Always had loo roll provided but generally take extra to last just in case.
Not sure why you're complaining on here before asking guest services though!
Oh and we always refer to the loo in the hall as the one to be used for number 2's but since upgraded to ensuite accommodation so no longer an issue 😂

So you've messaged a group chat and you've started a thread here, but you've not actually checked with the place you're staying? FFS. How helpless are people these days?!

I guess we were missed. But friends staying in a different lodge were also without

I’m wondering whether they may have had some supply issues so stocks of loo rolls are a bit limited and it’s a case of housekeepers grabbing it when they can, as I’ve seen a couple of comments on SM about this in the week or so, but it has been very inconsistent, different style lodges etc, so I don’t think it’s a new policy. And if they were planning on stopping supplying it, I think they’d announce it on the news section of their website.

We went in December and stayed in the cheapest lodge going (It was under £550, which was split between two families, so really cheap), and we had plenty.

It’s pretty fucking rude to accuse me of being a troll. I’m not btw. Never commented or created a threat about loo or poo before.

I’ve been about a dozen times and there has always been a loo roll in each bathroom/loo (but we pack extra as they probably cost a fortune in the shop)

GiantTeddyIsTired · 04/01/2026 16:21

That's weird - we've always had a starter loo-roll - and that's at many Center Parcs, in 3 different countries (my children are creatures of habit)

I do always take some too though..

An edit - check the boiler cupboard (I always investigate everything) - sometimes I've found a stash there.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 04/01/2026 16:23

I have been 4 yea in a row and there's ALWAYS loo roll. The last time we had loo roll on 2 of the bathrooms but not the 3rd, we called customer services and they brought loads to us.
Just contact them, it's not an issue.

This is the fourth thread about loo roll I've seen on here today. What is going on? 🤣

I was just thinking this!

SatsumaDog · 04/01/2026 16:25

CP is ridiculously expensive for what it is. Self catering properties usually provide at least one toilet roll in each bathroom. Generally you buy your own after that.

FruitWordSalad · 04/01/2026 16:35

We've self catered for decades, must be well over a hundred times. I have never stayed anywhere SC that didn't provide loo rolls, so that's not an excuse for lack of provision.

LumpyandBumps · 04/01/2026 16:37

I’ve been going to Center Parcs for nearly 20 years. There has always been at least one loo roll in each bathroom. There are sometimes extras in the boiler cupboard.

Gloriia · 04/01/2026 16:37

Been loads of time, always loo rolll then you buy more at the handy shop.

Your housekeeping must've missed you op, I wouldn't fret about it these things happen.

Catsonskis · 04/01/2026 16:41

I’m literally at Whinfell cp right now and we arrived to toilet roll in all the bathrooms of our 4 bed ensuite lodge, a soap in all the bathrooms. Had to replenish but it’s self catering and what else do you expect when here for a week!

One thing that does annoy me about CP is that you can’t use the parking spaces, even if your lodge is assigned one and you have a Blue Badge. It’s a bit much, as people aren’t driving around the site; just using it to load and unload their stuff at the start and end of their break.

You ARE allowed to drive your car to the lodge when loading and unloading at the start and the end of the week 🤷🏻‍♀️ and we’ve also been allowed to do it when we’ve had to leave the evening before checkout day.

MellowNewt · 04/01/2026 15:11

We stay away a lot in self catering. Always get given loo roll. CP is the only place I have not been given any.

Edited

We were there over New Year's, had a roll plus a spare in each loo. We were only there 4 days and didn't need to get any more. We were given a designated EV charging slot for the week and it all worked very smoothly. This was Woburn, but have had similar experiences at Longleat.

May try Bluestone next year.

JoannaTheYodelingCowgirl · 04/01/2026 16:50

How much are you using???

AdoreTheChaos · 04/01/2026 16:53

But have you contacted guest services? You’ve been asked a few times but don’t appear to have replied.
I’ve always had a loo roll and a spare when we’ve been to CP and guest services are usually very good.

MellowNewt · 04/01/2026 16:53

I’m not fretting. I was lead to believe CP don’t provide toilet paper full stop. If that were the case then I think that’s pretty unacceptable. But I think we were simply missed. We had a Tesco shop to pick up so it wasn’t a massive issue. It was really just the principle of they deliberately didn’t provide any.

No cause I had tissues and a Tesco shop was being picked up by a friend which had plenty. The issues resolved itself.
