VB dress is one of the best I've seen on a long time .
It's got shape and style reminds me of 1940s dresses.
Harper I think looks extremely old for a mere 14

DeftGoldHedgehog · 28/12/2025 12:29

Why are you so bothered? Who cares? Good luck to her if a magazine wants to pay her for photos. What a lot of jealousy and unnecessary nastiness.

iCod · 28/12/2025 12:32

I'm surprised magazine still offer money for weddings bearing in mind that nobody reads magazines and if you want to see what the dress looks like you just pass it on a supermarket shelf

iCod · 28/12/2025 12:32

Yes, they definitely didn't need to get married at bath which couldn't be more central

Hilarious. Once you see it you can’t unsee it…

I know! I don’t know why this thread is so bitchy about these people or this wedding when we COULD be focusing on how funny the dresses are. I just saw VB at the wedding and she’s wearing a dress in this exact fabric, the teal! It has like a half-ruched arsehole on the front; not quite as bad as some of her other dresses though, like the one I linked. Seriously, can ANYONE on this thread or on all of the S&B boards tell me the dress I linked doesn’t look like an arsehole?

I was a competitive swimmer as a teenager and my parents drove me all over the country and spent a lot of money on it. To the outside world they would seem to be supporting loving parents who made huge sacrifices for me. They present themselves as such to this day.

However there was also a huge amount of toxicity and neglect in my childhood. Only as an adult have I realised how damaging my childhood was.

Not saying this is the case for the Peaty family, but the ‘we sacrificed so much for kids’ narrative doesn’t give a full picture by a long way necessarily.

Would you rather they hadn’t?
Could you not have spoken up at the time?
These things are always double edged swords. I have a friend whose daughter is a very good swimmer. I don’t think she’s Olympic standard but she thoroughly enjoys it and her parents support her.
One false move from them I suppose the narrative could completely change to. They woke her up at 4 am and dragged her to the pool.

Never heard of her. I did pointlessly Google after reading this post and I just saw a beautiful woman wearing a very pretty shawl for a winter wedding. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Much the same. Why are people so invested in these nonentities?

Me too. It’s not going to be anything like the money it used to be- remember the beckhams getting a million. 30 years on I’d be surprised if Petty got £200k

ResusciAnnie · 27/12/2025 14:59

I saw that… so weird. I wondered why it looks like she’s walking through a high street?? That’s anything but exclusive 😁 haven’t followed this at all so have no context at all really other than I saw a headline that his mum hates her or something.

Its the cathedral in the center of bath, its a busy area at the best of times and absolutely packed around December.

You don't really think that posters commenting on dresses are jealous do you, are you a child? What exactly do you think they might be jealous of?

Are you thinking they all wished they'd married AP in a shiney cape or that they'd been underdressed and freezing at a December wedding or that wanted to be criticized online?

Oh how awful, only £200k.

I think if someone had offered me £500, 20 years ago when I got married I'd have put a pretty shawl over my dress 😅

Does anyone know for sure that Hello have paid for exclusive pictures or they hypothesizing?

I can see that advertisers might be attracted to an online exclusive but as you say not really a print version

Does your dictionary define invested in as passing a few minutes on a thread on a twixmas Sunday ?😂

Exactly. Always the same old "jealous" rubbish trotted out.

Me and DH got married quietly with just family and close friends because we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We didn't see the need for a big showy wedding and 45 years later we are still happily married. Let's see if the same can be said of them in 45 years time

roastedrapidly · 28/12/2025 12:55

Ok didn't even know Gordon Ramsey had a daughter getting married....how silly and attention seeking, does anyone even care about the dress except the guests?

That sounds tough it sounds like you took an interest in swimming and your parents ran with it to your detriment, It is probably more common than people realise, .

Jealous or not though, why are people being so bitchy about it? You can express an opinion - positive or negative - in a much more constructive way than most on this thread. A lot of these are pure mean.

As for the (speculative) money they’ve been paid for the pictures, why not?! If someone offered me likely a reasonable amount of money for exclusive photos of my wedding day I’d happily accept. Nobody would - because I’m not a public figure 😂 but still. It doesn’t make them disingenuous or any less in love than you and your husband?! Likely their day wasn’t greatly affected by it and they may have earned some nice money from it. Good for them, I say.

Is it attention seeing though? To wear a cloak on your wedding day?! The guest list incudes some very famous people so of course it was going to gather public attention. You’re all interested enough to comment on how unbothered you are 😂

Genuinely interested to hear how its ’silly and attention seeking’ to wear a cloak and get married in the venue of your choice…

Not trying to police it at all but I’m not going to sit back and say nothing when I think people are being awful. There’s a difference between having an opinion and just nasty.

Sold the wedding shots..pathetic considering they are hardly on a budget!

I guess that's how money makes money..

What’s being Christmas got to do with anything?

As for women “lifting up” other women, if they need and deserve it then yes, but not just by virtue of happening to be a woman.

Christmas = season of goodwill. Thought that might be lost on you, clearly.

Lifting up women - absolutely @Quincette I'm not suggesting she needs to be carried through the streets and revered but to be so vile about a young woman for getting married - it is awful behaviour from women. Can we not just wish her well? Or merely ignore her if you feel that way inclined. Nothing saccharine and nonsensical about that - just compassion, kindness and humanity. Something you clearly do not have in abundance like many others on this thread.

If they deserve it? Well I'd be (not) interested to know what Holly Ramsay has ever done to upset you other than purely exist? What has she done to deserve the dreadful hate on this thread? Wearing a gown you don't like or perhaps it's having Gordon Ramsay as a Father?

Seriously 🙄

Harvestmoons · 28/12/2025 13:48

Exclusivity deal for the photos hence the dress needed to be covered . Using a satin sheet type thing draws attention to the fact that she is deliberately covering the dress. If Holly had used a beautiful, tasteful and stylish designer cape it would have looked like part of the outfit which defeats the object

Just general comments, observations and opinions. No big deal. It's what social media forums are for.

I haven’t said anything critical about this woman. I merely commented that I hate the ‘lifting up women’ thing. Because it’s total bollocks.

surely a custom made cape like this would have looked far better than the bedsheet?

But then the dress wouldn't be completely covered?

if it was custom made, it could have been sized to cover the dress
