Isn't it blindingly obvious that posters who reply to the thread have an interest in it. It's such a stupid response to any thread, caring about something isn't required to remark on it

How do you know?

It would be pretty unusual to know everything about a relationship even if you were close to someone in it which it seems unlikely that you do.

But, even if you did, pretty odd to aim to be more nasty than someone else. Why not try to be better ?

Wasn’t keen on the BM dresses.
Flowers outside were fabulous.

I think this wedding is an example of why there’s such hatred and divide between classes and those with money vs without. Totally inappropriate level of disruption Bath faced due to the wedding, buses diverted, hiring the church for the entire day so others couldn’t get into a literal church even after etc.

I think this was about the first I read of troubles. And agree, it doesn’t reflect well on his mum, but who knows what preceded it. Not us, that’s for sure. Such a shame he and his family have fallen out.

Bath Abbey is an important landmark in Bath. It’s busy with both parishioners and visitors, given the time of year I’m sure there are lots of tourists who want to visit. I was simply highlighting the level of disruption caused for one wedding.

This! What's the big public interest? I've never heard of the bride (obviously her dad is well known, but I didn't know nor cared he had children), I've heard of Adam in the same way I've heard of other well decorated Olympians, but I know nothing nor care about his family. Yet their wedding is so well publicised, just why?

Quite frankly everything I’ve read about the family shows the mum, the aunt and the brother to be absolute psychos, I don’t get why Adam is getting such a bad press for disinviting them.

I mean the brother left such serious threats that Adam had to be police escorted off a plane.

from comments made by the dad and the mum, they seem to be downplaying his brothers actions entirely. And the aunt should just shut up entirely - sending vicious text messages to the bridge and groom on the day of the wedding, saying she hopes they always remember this bad feeling on every anniversary? No wonder they want nothing to do with her.

let’s be clear, we’ve only heard repeatedly from one side who keeps talking to the press. Adam has only said on statement, where he also pointed out that his sister has also been caught up in all this as well. So there’s clearly something significant happened that no one knows about.

if his family stopped going to the press every two seconds, it would probably be resolved.

I hope that now the wedding is done they will start to lead a more private and dignified life. It really does seem to have been a toxic mess in the run up to the wedding. I've not taken enough interest to know who is actually to blame.

Hopefully Holly has some kind of career of her own rather than being one of Gordon's children. Adam is at the end of a top competitive career too so hopefully he can find something else fulfilling rather than just being in the media.

It's a shame that the dress was covered. It would have been nice to see what it looked like. I assume some magazine deal for the cash was her priority. The bridesmaid dresses were a lovely Christmassy colour but a dreadful style for the bridesmaids' figures. All 3 were not at all flattered by the high neck line. Possibly Holly's strategy to not be upstaged? Hopefully she made a better choice with her own dress design.

Gordon Ramsay is a bullish, foul mouthed man who probably had an influence in the outcome. Adam's family must be heartbroken. They would have made sacrifices over the years to get their son to the Olympics. It's such a shame they have become estranged, missing her son's wedding will be a sadness for his mum forever. Also, what about Adam's little boy? Have the grandparents been banned from seeing him to? Poor people 😥
