They must have a deal with a magazine, she had her dress covered up.
Wasn’t keen on the BM dresses.
Flowers outside were fabulous.
It must be costing ££££.

The bridesmaids looked like their dresses were from a market stall.

I think this wedding is an example of why there’s such hatred and divide between classes and those with money vs without. Totally inappropriate level of disruption Bath faced due to the wedding, buses diverted, hiring the church for the entire day so others couldn’t get into a literal church even after etc.

Cathedrals/abbeys often close to the public eg Winchester some years ago closed as preparations were being made for a flower festival next day. Same day the castle was closed due to an event for cadets/military never did find out, just couldn't get in. Totally wasted trip but last minute and I hadn't checked out access

Agreed.

Agreed.

Lady B’s dresses are all the same satin bedsheets looked like they were from Shein !

I don’t understand why the daily fail is obsessed with these two and this wedding. The amount of stories is just ridiculous!

The Mail have spent time and money winding his family up and watching them go, its proved quite lucrative for them.

landlordhell · 28/12/2025 17:37

Banished by Brookie? What does this mean?

HayceeDeeCee · 28/12/2025 17:38

Bridesmaid dresses were awful, badly fitting and cheap looking. Expected a lot more given how much money would be thrown at the wedding. Wish them all the best nonetheless.

JHound · 28/12/2025 17:39

I do find it sad when ruptures occur in families but then you never know the true cause so that’s that.

JHound · 28/12/2025 17:39

NortyElf · 27/12/2025 15:54

So has Adam Peaty - so has Brookie Becks

How do you know.

I hope that now the wedding is done they will start to lead a more private and dignified life. It really does seem to have been a toxic mess in the run up to the wedding. I've not taken enough interest to know who is actually to blame.

Hopefully Holly has some kind of career of her own rather than being one of Gordon's children. Adam is at the end of a top competitive career too so hopefully he can find something else fulfilling rather than just being in the media.

It's a shame that the dress was covered. It would have been nice to see what it looked like. I assume some magazine deal for the cash was her priority. The bridesmaid dresses were a lovely Christmassy colour but a dreadful style for the bridesmaids' figures. All 3 were not at all flattered by the high neck line. Possibly Holly's strategy to not be upstaged? Hopefully she made a better choice with her own dress design.

Adam has been running AP race clinics and runs a business through swimming creating events which allow young swimmers to compete against the best in Britain and internationally.

He’s doing a lot to Support swimming being more accessible nationally.

Bridesmaidorexfriend · 28/12/2025 17:54

I find this obsession with people becoming distant with their families and the general public wanting to burn them at the stake so weird.

Adam Peaty’s mum has been talking to the press. That’s pretty unforgivable. Why do so many people feel the need to jump to her defence. You don’t know any of these people. Maybe Adam is embarrassed by his mum due to her working class background like some people suggest… that would be sad and not very nice. Or maybe his mum and her sister have been acting completely unreasonably and he has had to put his foot down. We don’t know. Also why is it his wife’s fault? Or Gordon’s Ramsey’s?

Brooklyn Beckham, again, who knows who is in the wrong, maybe it’s both, but why are you so angry about it? He’s not your son.

Strange obsession and embarrassing behaviour. Always quick to blame the wives too. Meghan included.

Victoria Beckham is a tacky woman with zero sense of style. I don't know why so many on here seem to look up to her. I sympathise with Brooklyn and Nicola for cutting them off. I also think Adam's mother and aunt sound like pieces of work.

Fbfbfvfvv · 28/12/2025 17:56

Vivi0 · 28/12/2025 17:23

Adam’s family seem like absolute scum bags, and I don’t feel any sympathy for his mother at all.

Also, what about Adam's little boy? Have the grandparents been banned from seeing him to? Poor people 😥

If my parents minimised my sibling sending me death threats, defended them or enabled them, they wouldn’t be seeing my children either.

I agree with all of this.

They are an absolute embarrassment and seem to constantly stir.

I read today that the brother posted a photo of him and his mum outside the bath church on Adam and Hollys wedding day, (taken at a different date) with a song from The Godfather playing in the background - then deleted it.

I feel very sorry for Adam.

This is a good point. The minute the family member starts talking to the press I assume
they are the crazy one.

TwilightSkies · 28/12/2025 18:02

His family are clearly toxic. Look at how they’ve carried on, repeatedly running to the press. The aunt seems the worst out of the lot of them. They’ve made fools out of themselves. No wonder he didn’t want them at the wedding.

Overtheatlantic · 28/12/2025 18:05

Seems like the daily mail have paid the Peaty family to talk to them. They did the same thing with Thomas Markle and the awful Samantha Markle. They target people who might have a small grievance and pay them (and these people want/need the money!), and then the whole thing blows up.

Dartmoorcheffy · 28/12/2025 18:07

The bm dresses were absolutely hideous. What on earth were they thinking. Especially when it was reported that the bride didn't approve of his mother's dress choice for the wedding which was what kicked it all off.

She does, but there is no way she is doing it without his mother’s approval.

Meanwhile, Adam’s mum gets to play the victim and do the sad face pose for the Daily Mail.

Putting my views on the bridesmaid dresses aside, wasn’t his mother planning on wearing white, or close to white?

Apart from the bride, I didn’t see anyone else wearing white.

Bath Abbey is an important landmark in Bath. It’s busy with both parishioners and visitors, given the time of year I’m sure there are lots of tourists who want to visit. I was simply highlighting the level of disruption caused for one wedding.

Wedding often take part in parts of the abbey that are not normally open to the public…maybe a bit of disruption when going in and out but the main abbey open as normal.

I think so. I remember that story about the mum wanting to wear white. And it’s not being bridezilla to say hell no to that…

the dad saying “Adam isn’t empathetic to his brothers mental health” and then his brother physically threatening him and then turning up outside the wedding as well. His brother sounds like a total nutter.

The media coverage of this wedding and the whole feud is perplexing but I’m guessing the happy couple wanted that, given that the bride appears to have hidden her dress for a magazine deal.

I’m trying to not be invested but does anyone know why the feud even started? The groom’s family (at least some of them) seem
to be behaving with zero dignity since how did it even happen to begin with?

BettysRoasties · 28/12/2025 18:24

Peatys mum was going to wear cream.

The dresses were Victoria beckham dresses.

I reckon there must be a of peatys family online or cut off family members in general fighting their sides.

Because the only people who have acted badly are the ones firing off threats that get them arrested or selling their own child’s story to the press and sending shitty texts on the nephews wedding day. So Adam’s family members 😉

From what I can recall, Adam’s mother wasn’t happy that her entire extended family weren’t invited to the engagement party and she confronted Gordon Ramsay about it at the party and made a bit of a scene.

The bridesmaids looked like their dresses were from a market stall.

All that money and she had to wear that silly cape to get the publicity they crave - horrible to come out the church all draped up - I would think you’d want to march out with confetti etc etc

no amount of money would make me do that
