I think they might have been trying to dictate outfit & she’s a bit stubborn & feisty so it all kicked off. The cream dress & blue pashmina & navy bag might have felt a bit Debenhams MOB ish for their tastes.

I only wondered because of th e report that his father had been told he could attend, but would have to sit in the back row. I could only assume that he wouldn’t fit the vibe.

The whole ‘VB atelier or else’ malarkey is what kicked off the issues with Nicola Peltz, isn’t it, allegedly?

I wonder how that’s going for them all.

Or because it would be easier to be escorted outside by security in the event they make a scene. The mother probably is a full-blown narcissist judging by her behaviour and the things she says. It's very me me me and people like that love to disrupt someone else's big day.

thats a good point about being easy to extract

Ooh, who said that? Do you have a link?

I hope they both had a lovely day, and they have a happy and long marriage. Hopefully wider family behave themselves, and Adam and Holly can go about their lives in relative stability. Let’s face it life isn’t easy at the best of times, no one needs extra hassle from in-laws.

Can't mumsnet do something about nasty, nonsense threads like this? Or do you just not want to?

So you want mn to decide what threads are allowed or not, sure if they break a rule fine but seems a bit controlling as it is a forum and people are free to post as they wish we dont have to like it but no one should have the right to be that controlling

I think the Aunty putting her 2 penth in constantly hasnt helped at all!!!!

Codyrhodesisaheel · 29/12/2025 09:41

I see the “family source” aka the aunt has gone straight to the sun now slagging off his sister as well.

for those who claim that the family deserved to be there cos they supported
his swimming career how can they justify them turning on his sister as well?

the fact that they’ve been able to quote verbatim what the text message read while also confirming that Adam never received it because he had blocked them all confirms that the aunt is an awful person.

Putting my views on the bridesmaid dresses aside, wasn’t his mother planning on wearing white, or close to white?

Apart from the bride, I didn’t see anyone else wearing white.

Cream with navy trim, apparently.

Seems like the daily mail have paid the Peaty family to talk to them. They did the same thing with Thomas Markle and the awful Samantha Markle. They target people who might have a small grievance and pay them (and these people want/need the money!), and then the whole thing blows up.

Edited

There was a story with Caroline the other day and it was made clear she wasn't being paid. Saturday Daily Mail I think.
