@PeonyPatch Do you parboil the cauliflower? I can’t work out how long to do it for so it doesn’t go mushy…

@Dancingsquirrels. Me and DH are fans of one big tray of Yorkshire. I do a whole Ikea roasting tray of it! See Exhibit A, attached. This was my trial run last week. The teens prefer individual ones so that’s what we had on Christmas day… No idea why they prefer individual or why I let them decide what we had either!

@Dancingsquirrels I’ve not woken up properly yet but I am confused re the freezing and defrosting. Do you make the batter and freeze it or make the actual Yorkshires and freeze them?

The freezers are full right now but I could reconsider my freezer priorities if it means I can make the Yorkshires and freeze them!

Apologies for thread hijacking and to those not invested in Yorkshires.

Plates absolutely overflowing with food you could eat any day of the week. I don't think any of it looks enticing at all.

I’m sure your festive low-calorie cracker was absolutely delicious.

I cook YP, freeze them, defrost, reheat

Or, make YP day before the big meal and reheat without freezing

I like to prepare them in advance, as they just occasionally aren't so good, and I find that unpredictability stressful!

Yes just boil them for a bit, not fully… as they’ll cook further while in the oven. I actually put mine in the microwave from frozen for about 3 mins. They were al dente and then I poured the rue on top and put in oven!

Thank you @Dancingsquirrels@PeonyPatch - further experiments with cauliflower cheese and Yorkshires will keep me entertained tomorrow!
