Talk to me about Tattle Life

Ive heard people talking about it on here before but didn’t really know what it was other than a forum. I’ve recently stumbled across a thread on there about an ‘influencer’ I’ve followed for years who has become progressively more annoying and false. Some of the comments on this tattle thread are needlessly unkind but others echo exactly what I’ve been thinking about her. Albeit I’m not sure id ever put those thoughts out there where they could hurt someone.

So is Tattle basically just a space for being nasty about people? Please excuse the naivety but other than MN, instagram and Facebook I’m not really a big social media user.

A quick search on here tells me there was a big reveal recently of the owner of the site, as if he was in trouble or something. So is it a site that’s looked down on?

It’s different from Mumsnet in that no one ever disagrees with each other. They join a thread to rip the shit out of whoever the subject is and they have that hatred in common.

So they seem supportive of each other rather than arguing like we do on here. It’s mutual stroking (there’s a cruder expression for this).

I would love to know what would happen if some of the (for example) Meghan supporters from here managed to infiltrate their Meghan hate thread and disagree with them in the same way that happens on Mumsnet. Because you never see a dissenting voice. Do they get banned?

I wish the Meghan haters from here would all just fuck off over there. They’ve completely taken over the RF board and it’s unusable to anyone who doesn’t want to slag Meghan off. Some of them literally post Meghan hate from morning til night. It’s such a strange board now.

I found it to be vile, an echo chamber where people are egging each other on. Even kids are slagged off. If they were just calling out things like influencers using their kids for fame I’d be like ok, but they criticise people looks/weight/kids/everything is fair game

Which thread is that?

hazelnutvanillalatte · 27/11/2025 13:20

It really depends. They have unveiled a lot of scammy influencers, but also have hideous threads attacking cancer youtubers - really mixed bag and probably one of those things whose toxicity you don't want to be chronically exposed to.

If only there was a way to stop that…..scratching my head here…..

Oh yes! Stop posting yourself and your children online if you can’t take any negative comments. Not everyone is going to like you in life. I am sure people at work slag me off behind my back. If I put myself on line, I’d expect it to happen there too. It’s not rocket science.

Or, they could take their own advice, “if you don’t like me, don’t follow me.” Well, if you know there is a gossip forum, don’t read it.

A whole heap of them bleat on about online safety as well (when they are paid to do it for an ad). Keeping their children away from social media - while simultaneously posting pictures and videos of them on social media. Is it any wonder they attract criticism?

I do agree with this I’m afraid. I don’t like bullying in any forms but if you put your entire life out there (and your kids) then some people will not agree with your views, lifestyle and choices. I have followed an influencer for years, back when she had a blog and found her relatable and quite enjoyable to read. But her attitude and content has changed loads, she’s deeply irritating and contradictory. And if anyone offers an alternative view she is so rude and basically eggs on her sheep to pile on to the poster who dared to disagree with her.

Plus she massively overshares about her kids one of whom is now a teenager. I don’t think some of the comments about her are particularly pleasant or relevant but I do think her attitude should be called out. Like most influencers she seems happy to reap the freebies and adoration but can’t handle any criticism.

They really can’t complain.

If they want to carry on getting freebies and sponsored content, then these are the punches they have to roll with. People will have an opinion and sometimes it won’t be nice. If you can’t hack it, get another job.

And while no one should be nasty about children, the parent shouldn’t be posting them to thousands of strangers. It’s the parent soley at fault there, they aren’t protecting their child.

Honestly, it was the other influencers and bloggers that made me jack it in in the end. Not being mentioned on tattle (although they were nicer about it me than some of the other influencers I knew were!). It’s all such bollocks, I just couldn’t be bothered with it anymore. It attracts some seriously odd people who can’t take any negative feedback without losing their minds.

Thank you for the recommendation of the mumsnet threads which are hilarious- especially finding all the competitive under-eating posts!

teawiththetaxman · 27/11/2025 16:26

'Tattle is definitely a place where people say nasty horrible things just for the sake of it'... avoid, avoid..have you all read MN lately..!!!!
Dare I say a lot of posters with very detailed thoughts on what a bad bad place Tattle is...interesting (that's if you can really be interested in two very bitchy sites).

333FionaG · 27/11/2025 16:29

The mumsnet thread is funny and highlights threads over here that I normally wouldn't read. I don't read any of the influencer threads, most of them I have never heard of. I stick to celebrity gossip mostly, although currently there is very little happening in the celeb world.

Just a normal member of the public, who constantly talked about how they were shagging national league footballers and doxxed themselves going on about how they were on a tv programme and gave the exact details of it.
And that person was banned for having multiple tattle accounts, as far as I am aware, which is against tattle rules.

Your friend has delusions of grandeur. I've been browsing the mumsnet thread on tattle, and unless she is a carton of Covent Garden leek and potato soup, there aren't constant referrals to anyone in particular, it's just chit chat.

Ahhh yes, the user who was banned for having multiple accounts and making up stories. And who was also banned from Mumsnet multiple times

All of which you put out there Noddy, you absolute weapon 😂

DrAmanitaPhalloides · 27/11/2025 17:34

Have some soup Noddy and am early night.

RachelFanshawe · 27/11/2025 17:35

It’s pretty hardcore but it’s refreshing to be honest about what I really think about transwomen 😁

MyBrightPeer · 27/11/2025 17:37

It’s an absolute cesspit. Avoid.

Er yes, because you made another new account Nodders, just like anyone else can that gets banned from here. I grant you it's not as exciting as shagging a lower league footballer, but I guess the attention it gives you is just the same
