To think that Sadiq Khan needs investigated?

Considering the ongoing disclosures of the extent of the Pakistani rape gangs in London and Khans refusal to even acknowledge them do we think he has bought the office of Lord Mayor into disrepute?

I refuse to click on a Daily Express link. I'd firstly say that you might want to consider that the Daily Express are being politically motivated to attack Sadiq Khan, and even more so when the only newspapers to cover this are also from the right, so the Daily Mail, The Sun and of course GB News. From looking at a reliable site, so gov.uk and records of questions to the mayor, this seems to have been dug up from a question asked by that great genius Susan Hall from Jan of this year. How are the facts as you see them, OP? Do you check your sources also?

Try getting your data from a legitimate source and using proper English grammar.

Am I the only one who has noticed what it starting to seem like a targeted campaign against Sadiq Khan across various forums and social media?

Boomer55 · 21/10/2025 16:29

There are a lot of people, countrywide, in various professions, that need investigating over these gangs.

Nope, you're not the only one.

nomas · 21/10/2025 16:30

Even the article title is inflammatory - 'I exposed Sadiq Khan's grooming'.

Racist and dog whistling.

Justputsomeyoghurtonit · 21/10/2025 16:30

Do you mean 'needs TO BE investigated'?

Simonjt · 21/10/2025 16:31

How many white politicians need to be investigated as they haven’t condemned the police who didn’t prevent gangs as they themselves were also raping the victims? Surely each and everyone, or is it okay when its a white policitian or mayor?

@Whatifitallgoesright I don't see how he has brought the office of Lord Major into disrepute as he is actually Major of London...they are totally different!

He's always had to endure the mudslinging from the right, and a significant proportion if not all motivated by racism and/or Islamaphobia. They go from one target to another, from Angela Rayner onwards. It's tiresome.

GasPanic · 21/10/2025 16:33

He isn't Lord Mayor so how can he bring the office into disrepute ?

No, you are not. I wonder what it could be about Sadiq which is prompting such things??

Saved me a job. Can't believe this still has to be pointed out tbh.

murasaki · 21/10/2025 16:38

A lot of people who complain about him don't even live in London. Or think he has more wide ranging powers than he does.

Dp's dad, who's gone full reform recently, seemed to think that Sadiq Khan was imposing a congestion charge zone on him despite him living 200 miles away from us. We had to put the GB news watching muppet back in his box.

Agreed, it’s just been particularly noticeable when it comes to Khan recently.

Apart from the obvious I also wonder if it’s related to Prince Andrew as an easy distraction to get people frothing over the democratically elected brown guy over the birth right white guy.

I don’t live in London. I think he’s great.

JHound · 21/10/2025 16:54

No. Not sure why choosing not to publicly comment on ongoing cases brings the “Lord Mayor’s Office into disrepute.”

murasaki · 21/10/2025 16:54

I know he's got his own mayor he can moan about if he likes. But he doesn't get as much traction on GB News, can't think why.....

Ddakji · 21/10/2025 16:55

Isn’t the story coming from Maggie Oliver who has done so much regarding grooming gangs? Are posters now suggesting she’s dodgy and racist? Or are they just using whose reported this to ignore it?

OP - I would assume a number of mayors would need to be investigated as I doubt this has solely happened on Khan’s watch.
