AIBU to consider voting Green even though I’m gender critical?

I stumbled across a couple of reels where he was interviewed by Carole (surname unknown shouty presenter) and he really kept his cool and spoke very well.

I’ve just gone down a rabbit hole on his instagram page and can see the Greens are surging and I agree with so much of what he says. It’s refreshing and positive and nothing like the doom and gloom and hatred that comes from Reform.

I am tempted to join them. To feel like I’m doing something to try to change and shape a better future in politics.

my concern is that I am gender critical and they are quite the opposite to me in views. Should I put this aside for the greater good?

I always vote green in the locals as they do such a good job in my area but held back in the last few general elections because of their stance on gender.

I just don’t know if I can make the step. Their gender views enrage me. Yet ZP is impressive and importantly to me, is a vegan.

Agree with @Anthempart2 the Greens have some dangerous views and their stance on gender has been consistently awful for years.

You can see why the Greens are gaining momentum with the media tour that he's on at the minute, hopefully he's what the Greens need to kick on and move forward in the polls.

Carole Malone is the worst type of right wing shill gob on a stick and he dealt with her perfectly. You just remain calm and deal in facts and just watch get redder and redder and angrier and angrier as she spews the usual right wing soundbites. She's an awful woman.

ZP is prepared to say men can be women because they say they are which means he's either an utter fool who think ppl can change

His espoused belief that humans can change their DNA and his career as a hypnotist (who allegedly said he could increase women’s breast size by hypnotising them) mean I can’t take him seriously.

I say espoused because who knows who is genuine believer and who adopts the trans mantra for political reasons?

How can I vote for someone who can suspend critical thinking in favour of an ideology? It is like believing in creationism or scientology.

Or if he is just joining the TWAW camp to get elected as party leader then he has no integrity in which case I still can’t vote for him.

As a party the Greens have silenced women members and thrown out anyone (male or female) who doesn’t agree that men can become women ( in many cases by simply wearing a frock and a wig) and have said they don’t welcome voters who disagree so if you are a sex realist they actually don’t want you anyway.

The greens are gaining momentum thanks to the long awaited Your Party imploding (LOL) and the pervasive myth that we can have everything we want for free by taxing our dwindling pool of billionaires. It’s a scam.

it is a shame about their views on this issue as I could overlook a number of other things as the lesser of two evils, but this really is a red line for me. I cannot have anything to do with possible safeguarding around toilets, changing rooms and women’s sport. I was interested to see what the views would be on here.

I like many of the green policies - especially the tax ones - but their gender ideology stance makes it impossible for me. I’m in Scotland and my god the Scottish Greens are a particular nightmare. Shame really as I would love to find a left of centre, environmentally concerned, gender realist, party.

So it’s a no from me but I do agree he presents well so that will no doubt keep on attracting new supporters.

Women are 50% of the population. There is no "greater good" that involves women giving up their rights and definition.

It stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. It’s a support and defence club for European and North American countries.

I guess there is the potential positive that it may make the other parties up their game.

I think I’d vote local but not national.

He’s not ‘lying about biological sex’, he’s talking about gender identity.

His stance on trans isn’t just about trans. It’s about lies. He stands up there and proudly shits on women by saying men can be women. Even though he knows they can’t. It shows misogyny and duplicity.

What a horrible message. Someone shouldn’t vote for a political party because they have a trans candidate, are you for real?

did you ever post deriding the Tory party for allowing Michael Fabricant to be part of them with his wig, or Johnson with his crappy barnet, or is it just trans people who’s hair choices upset you so much?

I can't trust what anyone says if I know they are a liar. And anyone who says a woman can have a penis is either lying or deranged. Neither of these are appealing in a political leader.

I don’t know how you can take him seriously on anything when he thinks men can turn into women and breasts can grow through the power of hypnosis.
