Light hearted. I dislike my mum's boyfriend. I am sick of his constant grunting when i ask him a question. It is like he is incapable of saying yes or no to a simple question. He is a terrible bus driver. He drives like he is on a race track.

I also hate your mum's boyfriend.

I also hate your mum's boyfriend.

I reported him for his bad driving.

I love my mom, but I don't know if I really like her. She's a very loving mom, and loves me very much, but she says dumb stuff regularly. I like my mother in law more, sometimes, I think.

Reallyneedsaholiday · 14/10/2025 21:51

Same here! It can be hard to conflate her with the person she used to be. It's really sad.

Just being nosy, are you now? I always wondered if that 'the love grows' thing you hear about arranged marriages is true.

I loved him, dont think i was ever "in love" with him. We're divorced now 😂

I regret my entire career & loathe my job, but I’m too close to retirement to walk away now.

SunshineAndFizz · 14/10/2025 22:04

I don’t like receiving flowers. I’ve never told anyone, as lots of people have bought them for me over the years and it’s a very kind gesture. But I don’t like them.

I wish I hadn’t saved my mother’s life when she had a medical emergency. She was hideously abusive to me growing up interspersed with a few strange nice moments (now I think this was a destabilising technique and mind games). Anyway she had a very serious life threatening incident and I was there and literally saved her life. She miraculously recovered fully and I thought she might actually be grateful but no she carried on where she left off and was hateful. I said to her one day ‘but I saved your life ? You still don’t love me ?’ She replied laughing ‘well you definitely won’t do it again will you !’

I hope something heavy squashes her from above.... or ops step dad runs her over? 🤞

Why did you marry him?

PrivateMusic · 14/10/2025 22:49

Sometimes I wish we could just move far away. (Majority of family all live nearby.)

Opal888 · 14/10/2025 22:50

I regret becoming a parent

I'm a good parent and my children are loved and liked and parented well, but if I could choose again I wouldn't do it. My DW knows this truth but nobody else does.
Fully expecting to get flamed.
No I'm not depressed I have a great life

youalright · 14/10/2025 22:51

I use sarcasm to tell people to their face what I really think of them they think I'm joking I'm not

Whyyes · 14/10/2025 22:54

@youalright A lot of people do this. It's not really a secret

They know.

Fluffydas · 14/10/2025 23:03

In the course of my employment I committed perjury under oath in a civil case to cover up an error I made (consequence was the difference between insurers paying £2k, or my employer having to).

I struggle with interaction with dying people who are angry at impending death. I hate that I can’t do right for doing wrong in those situations. I pray I go unexpectedly in my sleep to spare those I leave behind the ordeal.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 14/10/2025 23:06

I find getting new gifts and presents quite stressful. I only want what I need. Both my family and dhs are generous and at Christmas the house will be filled with things, especially for the children. I have so many vouchers that I don't use, it becomes another pressure. The same is expected in return so i end up with loads to buy and hate adding to the waste and extravagance. I am aware I would sound like a spolt brat if i said this but I really do prefer a more frugal simpler life.

LadyBrendaLast · 14/10/2025 23:07

When I was standing at the altar and the priest asked if there was any known impediment...I looked down the aisle at the church door to see if my first love was going to run in and make it all go away.

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 14/10/2025 23:07

I have a friend who loves baking elaborate cakes. They look amazing but taste awful. If she gives me a piece, I always throw it away after she's left.

LillyPJ · 14/10/2025 23:08

I think I wasn't a very good mother. I'm sure I could have done better.
