Light hearted. I dislike my mum's boyfriend. I am sick of his constant grunting when i ask him a question. It is like he is incapable of saying yes or no to a simple question. He is a terrible bus driver. He drives like he is on a race track.

Well op wrote lighthearted so I didn't think it was appropriate to talk about where I hid the bodies

Thank goodness! Save that for the next iteration 😂

Sometimes when I’m home alone and both DD and DP are working/doing something else I order my favourite takeaway, watch something I like and dispose of the evidence.

Then I act like “no, I haven’t had any Chinese this month, what a great idea, let’s order”.
😇

Haha! Love this!

I use sarcasm to tell people to their face what I really think of them they think I'm joking I'm not

Wow, you sound so clever to be doing that.

LBFseBrom · 14/10/2025 23:46

I would politely ask him not to grunt but to answer properly and I would not go on his bus.

HappyNewTaxYear · 14/10/2025 23:47

MiserableMrsMopp · 14/10/2025 23:33

Quite a few things!

I got married to get away from my mother.

I wish I hadn't had children.

I had an affair with a married man when I was single.

I left my 1st partner for my 2nd.

I got someone sacked and prevented someone else from getting promoted.

There's more but I won't go on. 😂😂😂

Tell us more about the sacking… was it deserved?

Cookieandcandy · 14/10/2025 23:48

I get £13k a year in ESA and PIP but have assets of over a million pounds.

I am a genius 💅

Jollyjoy · 14/10/2025 23:49

I pee in the shower.

TwinklyStork · 14/10/2025 23:17

I think David Bowie was overrated.

Not even sorry.

Me too but I'm quite happy to say that in real life. 😆

Spendysis · 14/10/2025 23:49

I wish my dd wasn’t with her current partner he is kind and lovely but has no drive to do anything currently hasn’t worked for a few years due to mental health issues which I am not knocking that but prior to that worked part time in retail life is just very hard for her financially being the only one working and being in her first job after doing a masters she isn’t on great money. Its must be sole destroying never being able to treat yourself and constantly watching every single penny when you work full time and your partner is at home all day doing nothing i know they bicker about it They are just different people of which I have told her. She wants nice things to go places do things and that mental health issues and anxiety aside is just not him

I hate flowers too, DH went through a phase of sending me proper florist bouquets years ago when we really had better things to spend our money on. I would much rather have a packet of Kettle Chips 😳.

I sometimes don't leave the house between Mon-Fri, especially with dark nights. I can be quite bad for not washing my hair if I know I'm staying in when it really needs washed every second day, hair down for 2 days then ponytail for 2 days 🤫. I was a bit mortified with my greasy mop when I had to take my Dad to A&E....

Same - all of it, same!

TwinklyStork · 14/10/2025 23:54

BeanQuisine · 14/10/2025 23:49

I do too, but only in the correct company 😂

I hated the way he sang. It was so pretentious.

CagneyNYPD1 · 14/10/2025 23:55

I can be really lazy. I can go for days doing the bare minimum and be perfectly happy. I cover it well but I love doing nothing.

HappyNewTaxYear · 14/10/2025 23:57

Cookieandcandy · 14/10/2025 23:48

No you don’t, goady!

EmShire · 14/10/2025 23:58

I sort of wish I was Scottish, Welsh or Irish.

OctoberNight · 14/10/2025 23:59

i have a fear of being the centre of attention at a party - or a funeral. The thought of my partner dying terrifies me, not only because of the grief, but because I’d have to make a speech, or read a poem, and it wouldn’t do him justice. I fear not enough people would come or they’d discover I don’t have that many friends and judge me.

This sounds so shallow - I’d never say it in real life.

Cookieandcandy · 14/10/2025 23:59

HappyNewTaxYear · 14/10/2025 23:57

No you don’t, goady!

Why do you say that? They aren’t means tested benefits. I also get about £20k a year from income protection insurance from my employer as I am on long term sick leave.

RaspberryYoghurtMeatPotatoPie · 15/10/2025 00:00

I know I’m both more intelligent and more attractive than average. Not to an extreme, but enough that you’d notice. Instead of being grateful, a lot of the I kind of resent that I’m not exceptional, rather than being glad I’m lucky.

On a similar note, I operate at about 60 - 70% of my capacity much of the time. I could do much more - but a naughty little voice tells me “Why bother when you can just do enough and still do well?”.

I hate one of my former bosses so much that I dream of finding her desperate for help, telling her I will help her if she can remember my name. I know I won’t have to help her, and I will enjoy watching realisation dawn.

Spendysis · 15/10/2025 00:00

Due to a horrendous family situation caused by dsis over the last few years financial abuse of my dm I wish my elderly dm who i love dearly but haven’t seen for over a year due to dsis to pass peacefully then I can have closure on the situation

and if Iam being totally honest for dsis who is also in poor health to pass before dm then all the chaos and upset she has caused my and my dc just to get dm money has been pointless and her flying monkey who are the executors of her estate will see she’s broke dm money has been funding her lifestyle and her whole life is a lie

ChessBess · 15/10/2025 00:00

All religions and the concept of god and heaven or the like is nonsense, though was understandable in medieval times to keep the masses in line.

I think governments should prioritise their own citizens first

Some people don’t help themselves with their situation

Some people don’t realise how lucky they are in life and how that helped then become successful

Children should be prioritised in hospitals etc

Using fat jabs is cheating

TheatricalLife · 15/10/2025 00:02

That when I'm in bed at night nodding off to sleep, I comfort fantasise about having my own little little flat or house and just being on my own. I actually adore my DH and kids and wouldn't want a different life at all, but weirdly I find thinking about how I'd decorate my little home really therapeutic 🤷‍♀️

Sorry you are going through this. Siblings can be ruthless when it comes to family money or inheritance.

beanbaggirs · 15/10/2025 00:04

@HappyNewTaxYear PIP isn't means tested

When I was standing at the altar and the priest asked if there was any known impediment...I looked down the aisle at the church door to see if my first love was going to run in and make it all go away.

Are you still married?

beanbaggirs · 15/10/2025 00:04

@HappyNewTaxYear PIP isn't means tested
