Neighbour has put up huge Unite the Kingdom flag

I am gutted. I haven't seen a single flag in my town, and suddenly this union jack goes up two doors over with the words 'Unite the Kingdom' printed on it in capital letters. The flag is huge and flying from a pole on top of their shed, but it's in their own garden so nothing can be done.

I am the daughter of an immigrant mother and therefore mixed race. Now I have to see this fucking flag waving at me every time I look out of my kitchen or living room windows.

Also, why add even more dangerous men if it's already such an issue? Men from countries that literally won't let women out the house and flog/stone them to death for things we wouldn't think twice about.

When Sky News did a fact check on Farage's claims they proudly announced that Afghan men were in fact 'only' 3x more likely to be convicted of a sex crime. It boggles my mind that people like you defend this type of culture when it's quite apparent it's been well entrenched for decades in their respective countries - read about Lara Logan and the many other western journalists that have been gang raped in public while reporting in the ME.

Nobody cares about skin colour or religion. It's the fact that certain demographics think it's OK to rape women who aren't obedient to men. We don't want that here.

Yeah NO. It means understanding that our colonial past has consequences. That persecuted people have the right to claim asylum. And that if you were in a country destroyed by war or famine you'd try to get to somewhere safe too.

It also means understanding that this bullshit is neo-fascism which benefits none of us. And that it makes British people of colour unsafe on our streets.

So fuck off with your ignorance.

Either everyone has a right to protest or no one does.

And that if you were in a country destroyed by war or famine you'd try to get to somewhere safe too.

I probably wouldn't rape the civilians whose taxes were paying for my asylum. Confused

I mean, why aren't Ukrainian refugees going on rape sprees?

CreativeGreen · Yesterday 16:05

I meant overall. White european men assault, rape, and murder women every single day, and I’ve never heard a flagger with a problem about that.

CreativeGreen · Yesterday 16:07

We accept, as a known fact, that after an England football match, domestic violence goes up. I doubt that’s Muslims and I’d also hazard a guess there’s at least some overlap with flaggers. Not so fussed about women getting beaten or raped if it happens in their own house at the hands of their white husbands, are they?

Well, it's a complete strawman/whataboutist argument. That's why.

Individual reprobates committing sex crimes isn't the same as hundreds of men doing it together in public. The latter shows it to be a cultural event.

Say what you like but I'm 100% certain you would not want to Iive in Iran or Afghanistan.

Also, people like you always conveniently ignore the points you don't want to address. I've mentioned documented rape culture in the ME going back decades with examples. I've mentioned an event which echoes the sex crimes seen in the ME and which represents an occurrence never before seen in modern day Europe outside of wartimes. I've also mentioned statistics from the Sky News' investigation.

You've not addressed any of the above. What about the Channel 4 survey where over half of UK Muslims stated that homosexuality should be illegal? Would've thought this stuff would've been more pressing than minutiae like manspreading on the train and people daring to say women don't have dicks lol.

I daresay the answer is white feminism. The phrase at which the overwhelming majority of middle class feminists confirm that they have no intention of checking their own privilege. Only everyone else's.

His house. His business. I never hang flags, but I can’t get stressed about what others do. 🙄

I don’t see why it’s not relevant. The first and only time these people give a shit about the safety of women and girls, it’s this …. Curious.

CreativeGreen · Yesterday 16:54

Quite apart from the question of how on earth littering the streets with poorly erected flags is any kind of an an answer to any of this ….

GaIadriel · Yesterday 17:08

I'm just baffled how the same people that wang on endlessly about women's rights completely defer to misogynistic men as long as there's a woke bingo card in there (hate that term but it's apt).

Men represent a threat but it's OK for them to follow the girls gymnastics team into the shower as long as they have an edgy identity and a ladypenis - after all they've non-surgically changed sex and are now real women.

It's fine to talk about the 'two women a week' but we shan't talk about the '1200 in one evening' if the perpetrators aren't white, even if this behaviour is well documented in their home countries.

Do the people blindly defending these men not realise that they wouldn't get anything remotely resembling equality if they were in charge?

It's not about racism. Nobody has an issue with Sikhs or Hindus. Sikhs are usually well respected pillars of the community and in my four years working for a Mr Singh I've never been treated better by an employer. I was genuinely treated like family.

The issue is that the usual logic is inexplicably left by the wayside in this specific area and condoning endemic male violence is apparently seen as a lesser evil than challenging a different demographic for their sexual violence. We always hear that "not all men are like that" (NAMALT) but that "too many are"/"we can't tell the good from the bad" etc. We also hear that "if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem". That if innocent men don't want to be demonised they need to stamp out the misogyny in their own demographic.

Why are these pillars of modern feminist thought suddenly abandoned in favour of deferring to misogynistic men soon as the perpetrator is not a straight white male?

I think you're creating a fictional boogeyman.

The majority of the country now supports Reform. That's a LOT more people than the idiots out there protesting.

Also, you seem to be more focused on the people protesting about immigrants than the issues that actually started the protests. How many women have the 'flaggers' publicly abused?

And you've still not answered my question about how it can ever be a good idea to import even more violent men, which is inevitable when you have completely unvetted men arriving from extremely misognistic cultures. In fact you've not really addressed any of my points. It's all just vacuous virtue signalling with no real depth and regurgitating all the stuff we've heard a million times before ("but what about white rapists?").

Maybe next time somebody mentions the "two women a week" you can shut them down by mentioning that at least ten women a day are killed in Mexico. Not like that'd be whataboutery, right?

I bet you've never even been near a migrant hotel full of young men. I live in the borough with the highest number of HMOs. The hotel literally next door to my workplace is a migrant hotel (owned by the same woman who owns the land our workplace is on). As above, I also attend a site right next to another hotel where the residents (mostly ethnic) are up in arms.

I'm sure some are fine but the groups of men I see daily seem threatening and have committed documented harassment to my female colleagues over many months. This is what you're advocating for.

The majority of the country does not support reform - where on earth did you get that notion from ?

the last polls suggests 25% support reform
that’s not a majority - it’s a quarter and you need to have at least half supporting them to say majority

SheSmellsSeaShells · 05/10/2025 15:14

I would interpret Unite the Kingdom as anti racist and in opposition to the St George flag epidemic.

Are you living under a rock?

It’s disgusting, OP.

So they're not leading the polls?

GaIadriel · Yesterday 17:49

Just for transparency, I'm not a Reform voter. I just find it incredibly frustrating that many of the people who whinge the most are entirely blind to the fact that it's people like them that are driving this pushback.

If you tell people that the clearly male fighter cracking women's skulls in mma (yes, a true story) is actually a woman....they're gonna say GTFO of here.

Same if we see unprecedented sexual assaults that are commonplace in the ME and people tell us "oh, don't be a racist, these poor men are just victims of the non-existent war in Eritrea. You'd do the same".

No, we really wouldn't do the same. And neither are Ukrainian refugees doing the same. It's likely going to get a lot worse before it gets better and innocent ethnic minorities will end up suffering through association because nobody is prepared to say a word about the wronguns. And the same idiots fuelling this pushback will be the ones complaining the loudest.

backformoreofthesame · Yesterday 17:54

it was said that a majority supported reform

that’s not true. looks pretty neck and neck in terms of county wide support

the polls in terms of an election would be more difficult to untangle as reform have pockets of crazily strong support and many constituencies where they won’t get a look in. Add in “anything but reform “ which i suspect IS a strong majority and the outcome of an election would be hard to call so i don’t see reform getting a majority of seats either

the use of the term majority with reform is being used by some people deliberately incorrectly to try and influence people to think that they have more support than they really do as that would make them more palatable to others

You're right. Ukrainians aren't. Most crime is committed by white British men. Proportionally, 40% of Reform supporters have some sort of charge or conviction for violence.

The problem isn't refugees.

Most crime is committed by white British men.

Yes because they're the main demographic over here. In China most crime will be committed by Chinese men. Surely you grasp this.

As above, Afghan/Eritrean men are 3x more likely to be convicted of a sex crime. And there isn't any recent instance where white British men sexually assaulted 1200 European women in one night.

People are so intent on ignoring this inconvenient fact. I've mentioned it several times now and radio silence every time. It's always the same.

GaIadriel · Today 01:52

Any source for this claim? Google AI tells me it's not true and that the 40% figure is that 40% haven't reached A level qualifications.

They're still winning the polls whether or not you like to admit it. This stuff can be verified with a simple Google search. They've made a lot of breakthroughs so far this year.
