In the wake of the tragic events that took place in Manchester, I want to implore people not to lose steam or, more importantly, hope.

Gaza is still facing destruction, famine and genocide.

We need to continue to peacefully pressure our government to take action and sanction the Israeli government and to educate and inform people about the horrors faced by the Palestinian people day in and day out for the last two years.

People who opposed the liberation of Palestine want for this to be a turning point. For people to point the finger at a movement that wants to see the end of the suffering of millions and label it as inciting hate.

It's not.
And it's important.

Please don't put down your passion for Gaza.

quick call the UN human rights watch, the British Home Secretary and the Home Secretary in most European countries to let them know how ignorant they are then. You are isolated in your view. Even Nb doesn’t share your view.

How blind to the truth can you be.
Do you just side with any propaganda that fits your narrative no matter how wild.
Have a good sit down and start learning about history before you continue to display your ignorance.

Simplestars · 04/10/2025 19:33

Netanyahu is deliberately prolonging the war and the suffering of millions to divert attention from his own corruption trial.
Condemning the Manchester attack and standing with Palestine are not contradictions. Humanity demands both.

I should report your post, but I won’t as it’s actually good to show visibility of such comments.

Crack on. Doesn't change what you are and what the poster if this thread is. 👌

Demonstrations are in support of peace in Gaza

All people including some in the Jewish community, some of our MPs, some in the Muslim community and even Netanyahu need to Stop conflating the two
Thats whats causing problems

How many times do you have to be told on this thread and others that the actions of those on the marches are extremely intimidating to Jewish people.
Just because you don’t care about them doesn’t mean we can’t see your minimising.

HaimishaPickle · 04/10/2025 19:36

South Africa has said the apartheid politics by Israel is worse than their own ever was

Well they would say that wouldn't they? The South African government should definitely be concentrating on anything other than the current risible state of human rights in their own backyard.

Your post has been deleted. Clearly what you said broke the talk guidelines. I would hazard a guess it was inciting hatred.

Netanyahu literally called Palestinians “children of darkness” among other evil, dehumanising phrases. Israel’s government is carrying out acts that are akin to what the Nazis did and it’s TERRIBLE. Only people getting offended are the ones who allow their dehumanisation of Palestine’s to cloud their judgement

And yet you say that with a straight face, ignoring Jewish suffering and dehumanisation along the ages.

HappyGolmore2 · 04/10/2025 19:44

All these threads prove, over and over again, is that the right to protest and freedom of speech should be protected. So many people convinced that they are right, sometimes because their version of ‘god’ makes them believe they are, and desperate to shut down any other viewpoint.

Not to mention how they suddenly got solvent from millions of debt just after an Iranian visit and just before accusing Israel of genocide at the ICJ.

I have little sympathy left for Gaza

Same made worse by those pushing the false propaganda.

JaneVapeman · 04/10/2025 19:45

@ShazMidlands I must admit your post resinated with me because I am scared of it as well.
Scared of saying or doing something to offend .
The response is terrifying isn't it. Charlie hebdo ,bataclan , barely school teacher ,Salman rushdi

My DD is friends with girl from Muslim family and my DD is very anti religion . She herself went to a Catholic school I was raised Catholic and loosely fallen one and i was very happy for her to make up her own mind very early on she had strong views about it 🤣 against it.
I asked her to be respectful of any other children who were religious and be aware of what she says but it didn't really worry me at all.
Now she has moved schools and has Muslim friend I've literally drummed into her ; do not talk about religion , do not say anything rude around or or gods etc.
.because I am scared for her.

I also didn't realise until recently and I'm just over 50 that Muslims say you are "born " onto it
You are born into it, can't leave it...

Can't criticise it..
Never ever a good state of affairs.

It’s estimated between 150,000 to 300,000 people have been killed in the most recent war in Sudan over a 2 year period with an estimated 14 million displaced . What protesting are you doing around that?

That's a bit of a non sequitur. I was responding to the poster that said:

'Yet somehow Gaza is supposed to always top the list of whom we support and talk about.'

That statement was incorrect as there was pretty much universal support for Ukraine from the UK Government and UK citizens, particularly at the start of the war.

I also recall a massive outpouring of sympathy and sorrow on and after October 7th.

Are you organising or attending protests about the war in Sudan?

HaimishaPickle · 04/10/2025 19:47

Do you think people from Gaza coming into Israel and deliberately torturing, raping, murdering, mutilating and kidnapping people in Israel on October 7 left Israel in fear of its existence, of its people’s existence? How should they have responded? How should Hamas have been destroyed (presumably you acknowledge Hamas needs to be destroyed).

Well that's obviously the only alternative to being anti Israel on the far right side of history.

You misunderstood the poster. Protesting for Palestine is nothing to do with Judaism. Protesting for Palestine is about protesting against the terror being inflicted by the Israeli government.

I always feel more hopeful about the future when I see fellow Jews protesting for what is right, as we should.

Thankyou

I think the history of conflict started long before October 7th.

Yes, I believe both regimes should be overturned.

Questionairballoon · 04/10/2025 19:20

do you like making up your own history? 😂

the Israeli government isn’t secretive about its plans to occupy and turn Gaza into property empires. It’s disgusting and shameful.

How do you not know about any of this.
Have you been living in a bubble or are you just getting your propaganda from questionable sources because it fits your narrative.
But then again there is no telling what or where you are from….if you get my drift.
I won’t be using an emoji in this reply to laugh at your ignorance as quite frankly your propaganda narrative shines bright like a diamond.

so please stop with the lazy parroting that Palestinians are all passive victims of their terrorist government. they’re willing participants in

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel was on Channel 4 News this evening. She was responding to a question of whether the government would collapse if the extremist ministers in the cabinet resigned in the face of a ceasefire agreement. As they are threatening, apparently, as it will make Israel appear “weak”. I completely disagree. I believe it will signal that Israel is serious about peace.
She categorically said no, it will not. That Israel is a democracy, unlike Palestine where you will be killed if you openly oppose the leadership.
Precisely the argument I was making this morning, which was shot down.
Is the Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel wrong, too?

She gave me hope that at least some members of the Government of Israel do not brand every Palestinian a terrorist. She talked quite a lot of sense about some things.
